personality evaluated.
Kyle is almost impossibly hard to read. He can be sarcastic to a fault, and one of the most cynical people you've ever met. He doesn't have a touchy feely side for anyone but his daughter, and never has. His sarcasm can often times come across as rudeness, but it really wouldn't bother him. Sometimes he's even rude on purpose and never gives it a second thought. He can be rather inconsiderate of others, only because he's wrapped up in himself so often. He really likes himself and isn't afraid to let everyone know it. He's pretty cocky and can be seem putting himself before everyone else most of them time. Aside from all that, he's also an impossible pessimist. No one has ever been able to get him to see the good in any situation. But something good that comes out of that is his stubbornness. He's as stubborn as an ass, and if he really wants something he won't give it up for the world. He's a fighter, and he'll fight to the death for something he wants, which makes him quite passionate about the things he enjoys in life.
Spontaneity is important in his life. Kyle gets bored extremely easily. He doesn't like doing the exact same thing every night. He likes to push himself outside of his comfort zone, even though he rarely finds activities or people that exist beyond his comfort zone. Trying new things is big for him because he likes to push himself, which only feeds his huge ego problem. He will never look weak or upset in the eyes of others. Even though it can sometimes be a little crude or hurtful, he's actually quite humorous. If he has a problem with you, he has absolutely no inhibitions when it comes to letting you know. He'll never sugarcoat anything, especially if he's going to say it to your face, which can be a good and bad quality. He hates to watch himself try something and fail at it, so even though he enjoys trying new things, he usually only tries things in front of people that he knows he'll do decently at. It all comes with his thirst for control and power.
But Kyle can be a nice guy, at least when he feels like it. If he really likes you, he can be a gentleman. It's subtle though, so you have to look for it. Being able to handle him requires great patience and perseverance. If he likes you enough and really trusts you, he can show you a great time. He's fun and even goofy at times. Even though he doesn't try, he tends to bring out the best in people he likes, and the worst in people he doesn't. Kyle can be a very confusing person, but those that deal with his faults would all agree it's worth it when he lets loose and lets himself have a personality. He can be a total goofball, sometimes doing anything to make you laugh. Well, without him looking unmanly. He has a sweet side, and you'll get glimpses of it every now and then. He's bold and really isn't afraid to go after what he wants. He does have a tendency to get frustrated easily, but that doesn't mean he gives up.
He's extremely charming, and will switch from being a conceited asshole to being a charmer in half a second if it means winning a girl over. He's used to not having to try really hard to get women, so when one comes along that plays hard to get, she'll snag his attention for longer. He moves on quickly and generally doesn't look back.

history evaluated.
Kyle Xavier Yorado was conceived by total accident on his parents' parts. Mason was a director of small films when he was twenty-nine, so he had cash to burn, which he chose to burn on exotic dancers. He had no intentions of settling down, and never really did. At least until one of the girls he slept with, barely even legal, came to him saying she was pregnant. Mason, being a man of pride and wanting to keep his integrity intact, he denied being the father of Natalie's unborn child which resulted in a law suit. Once the suit became heated, Mason agreed to pay a hefty child support just to make sure that this was kept quiet. He showed no interest in the child during the pregnancy, though often times he'd wonder what his child would amount to. He only had to wait about nine months to figure that out, since one day his newborn son was waiting for him at his office.
Saddled with a baby he didn't know what to do with and pressured by the public to make the right decision, he decided to keep the baby and name him Kyle. Kyle was a well-cared for baby and got everything he ever wanted, except for satisfactory time with his father. He had a nanny who came at his every call, and it was needless to say that he never went without something he wanted. When he was three, Mason got another girl pregnant. To avoid another huge law suit like the one over Kyle, Mason offered to take the child when the mother said she didn't want it. As much time as he didn't spend with Kyle, he did care for his son, and thought maybe giving him a sister, or a half-sister, to play with would be beneficial to the young lad. So once she was born, he got sole custody and named her Kaysie. From the moment they met Kaysie and Kyle were the best of friends. Even when she was an infant Kyle did what he could to help her. It was kind of out of character for young Kyle, considering he spent a great deal of time making sure his own needs and wants were taken care of. He was selfish, and often threw tantrums when his father left in the morning without telling him goodbye, or even when he came home and his nanny had already put him to bed.
Kyle had a hard time adjusting to school and the schedule it demanded since it meant he saw his father even less. But eventually, he did learn to at least tolerate it even if he never really liked it. He was quietly brilliant - he never really liked to flaunt that he understood just about everything that was said. He settled into the popular crowd when that started forming around fifth grade with ease, and he stayed in it for the rest of his scholastic career. Middle school was rather mundane, except that was when he tried anything with a girl for the first time. In high school, it became pretty obvious that he was just another idiot jock to most people. He drove around a nice car (compensation from his rich father for not ever spending time with his kids), was captain of the soccer team, even Prom King.
After graduating high school, he went to UCLA where he got master's degree in physics. Upon doing so he realized he didn't really have any idea what he wanted to do with a physics degree. He became a teacher for a short time, where he met a woman who also worked at the school, Kayley Dawson. She was married at the time, but one thing led to another and she ended up sleeping with Kyle and getting pregnant with his baby. This led to them both getting fired, and Kayley getting a divorce from her husband. She wanted to be with Kyle, but Kyle was nowhere ready to settle down. He was still caught up in going to clubs, drinking, sexing random girls.. even at twenty-five. This was an important happening in his life, because when he finally told his father, the two instantly bonded over it. Mason explained to his now-adult son the circumstances under which he was born, why he never knew his mother, how Kaysie came along.. questions that should have been asked an answered long before they were. Finally knowing who he was, who his father was, and having gained a new friend in his father, he was active in helping Kayley through the pregnancy. They agreed on joint custody over their daughter, which gave Kyle the urge to do something with his life. He and his father began looking into things he could do with his physics degree, and Special Effects Supervisor popped up. His father already being in the industry helped him get started, and he actually fell in love. In doing so, he landed a couple small roles in films, just since most people found him irresistibly cute.
When his daughter Tyler was born, Kayley moved to Georgia, taking baby Tyler with her. She was crushed that Kyle didn't want to marry her, since she was under the impression that he loved her. So she wanted to keep their daughter from him. He was alright with it for about the first year, convinced he just didn't care. He didn't want to care, and for a long time he didn't. But eventually he got curious. He wanted to know what she was up to, since he was legally entitled to see her. He flew out and met his daughter for the first time shortly before she turned one. He fell completely in love with her and worked out a deal with Kayley (though they totally disliked each other), who had remarried, that he would spend the last weekend of every month with his daughter, either at her home in Atlanta or his in LA. Kyle and Kayley still share a bitter hatred that they only suppress for the good of their kid.
Now he still lives in Los Angeles, but spends time with his daughter when he can. He doesn't tell anyone about Tyler, only because he isn't ready to let people know he's a "family man". He likes to keep up his badass facade, trick everyone into thinking he's still a huge jackass - which he is, just not around his daughter. He's still special effects supervisor, and dabbles in acting every now and then just for the hell of it.
