Born in Aguascalientes to a farmer and his wife, the only child of a couple thought to be unable to conceive the young Javier grew up quickly, working in school and after school on his parent's farm. His body grew strong, and his hands calloused. His mother, mindful of culture, read to him classical works of both his homeland and of foreign lands. He grew deeply enamored with story telling. From Oscar Wilde to Stephen King, his youth was filled with diverse stories that captivated his imagination. He entertained his parents after long days of work in the farm with monologues, and speeches. His parents were a harsh, but respectful audience, giving him the basics of acting through their watchful critique. At eighteen he joined the military as per required from all men in Mexico. It was there that he entertained his fellow soldiers. He saw combat action against drug cartels and narrowly missed being shot.

Javier got his break when one of his fellow soldiers referred him to an uncle who was producing a new novela, or Mexican soap opera. He was soon cast as the lead romantic interest. His performance was critically bombed, citing a seeming lack of comfort in front of the camera. He was, however praised for his ability to show true emotion. He continued appearing in telenovelas and Mexican films, developing his range as an actor by devoting plenty of time to his new craft.
