Shawn is definitely a little rough around the edges. He had a hard life and just taking one look at the man one seems to assume that he’s this tough guy who shouldn’t be fucked with. While this is very true, it’s also not how he is all of the time. To strangers, Shawn is a quiet shadow, often trying to blend in with the crowd. When you have the pleasure to get to know Shawn, you’ll find that he has a great sense of humor. It’s something he’s taught himself to develop because in his darkest hours humor was something that kept him from being swallowed up with no way out. Without it, he probably would be that tough guy with a “fuck off” sign on his forehead 24/7. In reality, Shawn is just the type of person who doesn’t talk to people just to talk to someone. He doesn’t go out of his way to speak to someone unless he knows them on a personal level. It isn’t some kind of stuck up thing that he has; he just doesn’t feel the need to put himself out there only to add another person to his list of people to worry about. Granted that doesn’t mean he won’t be friendly if he’s approached first, or he’s in a situation where he’s forced to speak to someone. Shawn’s just a kind of “if I fuck with you, I fuck with you and if I don’t then I don’t” kind of guy. He’s very laid back when it comes to socializing, almost nonchalant even. He just doesn’t like to have a big following because he believes that’s how your private life starts to become other people’s business and Shawn likes his privacy.

When Shawn is with his close friends he likes to goof off and have a good time. It’s funny because when you first meet him, he seems like a quiet mysterious kind of guy. But really when you first meet him he doesn’t open up right away because he likes to take time to figure people out and sort of make sure he can trust them before he opens up to them. The way Shawn grew up it was wise for him not to trust easily and even though he is out of that life, he still doesn’t trust easily and it takes a while to gain his full trust. Even then he doesn’t have a ton of people that he could really trust with his life. But once you finally break through that outer shell Shawn puts up he’s a really nice guy. He enjoys making people laugh and just having a good time. He has sort of a weird sense of humor for someone with such an intimidating exterior and rough background. Some who are extremely close to him would describe him as a goon or a silly person. He’s the kind of guy, when around people he’s comfortable with, to break out in random song or do a short little jig to get a couple laughs. He’s a pro at cheering people up when they’re feeling down in the dumps. Shawn’s not silly all the time though, he’s usually just laid back and chill. But when that silly moment does come around it makes it that much better because they’re so rare. If you’re friends with Shawn you have to have a tough shell because he pokes fun at everyone, he doesn’t care who it is. You can be his best friend and he’ll say something like “your face is looking extra hideous today”, but of course in a completely joking manner. Some people though, don’t know how to take his jokes lightly and it sometimes lands him in trouble. He’s a champion shit talker.

On the subject of women, it’s obvious by Shawn’s music that he loves them. Though the thing that you can’t judge by his music is how he treats them. Sure there are those vulgar songs about women and sex, but although he does love sex Shawn knows how to treat a woman right. Shawn is a natural charmer and definitely not shy around women. Shawn likes romance and keeping things interesting. He’s the kind of guy to randomly run his girl a hot bubble bath with candles lit around the room and rose pedals scattered across the bubbles. Of course, he is a bit of a freak like he seems to be in his songs, he just likes to keep that under wraps. He’s not a cocky kind of guy, but he’s confident that he’s a good looking, talented guy who has a lot to offer to a woman. And there’s just something about spoiling his significant other that he enjoys. Though he doesn’t appreciate women who are with him for materialistic reasons, which is why he tends to shy away from relationships. If he’s thinking about going into a relationship with someone, he needs to make sure that she’s in it for the right reasons. There isn’t anything he hates more than fake, gold digging women.

I suggest you not get Shawn angry. From a young kid he learned how to defend himself and people learned not to fuck with him. Although it takes a lot to get him angry to the point of wanting to fight, he can have a really scary temper. He’s been through a lot and there isn’t a single person out there who he can say that he’s truly afraid of. Every day he witnessed death so he’s learned not to fear it so if someone wanted to fight him, he’d be all for it. He’s not one to start a fight but if he has to, he’ll gladly finish it. Luckily if you don’t push the wrong buttons you won’t have to worry about his temper. Although this doesn’t mean he doesn’t get annoyed easily. There are certain things that annoy him and when he’s annoyed, it’s very obvious. His jaw tenses up and he tends to talk through gritted teeth, seemingly holding his temper back. He’s a very stern man when he wants to be. He does work in the business world, being a talent agent in this film industry along with a rapper, he needs to know what he wants and how to tell people exactly what he wants. So when he’s annoyed he’ll tell you what you’re doing to get under his skin and he’ll make sure you fix it because it would be in your best interest not to take his annoyance to another level.

• Shawn was born and raised in Queens, New York into a very poor and rundown neighborhood. He was raised in the heart of it all. His parents were never around, his dad being a drug dealer as well as a drug user and his mother was a stripper. She got around. So it’s safe to say that he didn’t have very good parental guidance in his life. Most of the time he was on his own, when his grandmother wasn’t able to come around and look after him.

• When Shawn was three years old, his father went to jail. A drug deal had gone bad and he’d ended up in a shoot out. He killed a man and severely injured another. He was sentenced to 25 to life in jail. While his father was being sent to jail, his mother was trying to figure out what to do with him. She wasn’t fit to raise him, especially not on her own. So Natasha dumped Shawn on the doorstep of his grandmother’s house.

• His grandmother raised him from them on. Even though she was a better parent, they still struggled for money and his living conditions were still just as poor. When Shawn was around eleven years old he started writing his own raps. He’d make his own beats with things around his house, anything he could find and just rap to them. Music was something that he enjoyed and he knew as soon as he started that it was something he wanted to go into.

• In attempts to jump start his career, Shawn started dealing at the young age of 17. He needed the money so he could make his own mixed tapes. Shawn managed to deal without his grandmother knowing, telling her that she was working extra shifts at the local market whenever she asked questions about the money he was getting. Slowly Shawn started getting his mixed tapes out to people. Soon people around the block started recognizing his music.

• As the money kept coming in, Shawn got more curious about drugs. He’d gotten into cocaine and LSD when he was merely 18 years old. The addiction grew worse as his money supply grew. Soon he was doing less dealing and more using. One night while on a drug search, Shawn got into a fight with another dealer.

• He’d been accused of trespassing on the guys dealing turf. Shawn had pulled out the gun he carried in the front of his jeans. Shawn cocked it, but he hadn’t planned on actually using it he just wanted to shake the guy up a little. But being slightly shaken up himself the trigger was accidentally pulled.

• Luckily shootings like this happened often where he lived, and the cops weren’t too keen on chasing down a shooter who got caught up in a tussle over drugs. A lot of those crimes were simply swept under the rug because of the gangs that ran the streets and the territory wars that took place.

• A year later, Shawn was approached by Shady Records and offered a record deal. They’d gotten ahold of one of Shawn’s mix tapes and loved what they heard. As apart of the deal, Shawn went back to high school and got his diploma. At that point he had settled down with the drugs, although he wasn’t completely cured from them. He’d started to use them less and less for the sake of his career.

• As his name grew, and he grew older Shawn began to expand his talents. He began endorsing different products and getting more into the business side of the industry. Shawn got into producing and even took a few small roles in some movies. Although acting wasn’t for him, he actually enjoyed the industry. So on the side of his music career, he is also a talent manager. He’s got a good eye for talent and decided that managing talent would be a good side career for him.

• After years of success with his music career, Shawn currently resides in New York. He’d decided to stay close to his grandmother so he could take care of her. He sends her money every month and visits as much as he can. He’s still on and off with the drugs, having never been completely off of them.
