WEAKNESSES workaholic marcus likes to always be busy. he doesn't like to have too much time on his hands so he likes especially to take on difficult roles that are going to challenge him more than usual. he likes having a character to research or build up for, etc. he especially likes when it comes time to promote something. marcus isn't the type to roll his eyes after being asked the same question over and over and over again. he's the type to think up something new to say to each interviewer and to give them a little something unique for their own bit. he loves traveling and going different places all for te sake of the job. it's just what he does best. stubborn when it comes to getting what they want, or being true to themselves or to a role, or just all-around getting their way, no one can be more stubborn than marcus. he has a certain way about him that just doesn't like to be wrong. he'll listen and need some major convincing when he is wrong but other than that he'll say he's right to the bitter end. admitting defeat brings the taste of bile to his mouth and he just doesn't like it. he'd rather give up on a conversation or make someone walk out rather than admitting that he was, at one point, wrong about something totally inconsequential. flirtacious though he's not big into meaningful relationships that doesn't stop him from being a total flirt. he's pretty good at it but mostly he just goes along with whoever's flirting with him. he's not a hound. he doesn't go chasing after women like their bodies are his life's blood. he simply likes to have a good time. he mostly had friends with benefit relationships of flings and mainly because his work schedule and determination keep him from really settling down and starting a life with someone. he's twenty-eight years old and has yet to meet a woman who makes him want to settle so he doubts that she's out there but he's willing to be surprised. temperamental this tends to go along with his stubborn streak. marcus can get angry for no reason and be moody all day without someone having done or said something to him. when something is said that wanes on his last nerve marcus won't tell you he's done so he'll simply snap. he has never physically lashed out at anyone before but he does not have the kind of reign on his words as he does his limbs. he's made women cry before, he's made minor crew members piss their pants. an angry marcus is not one you want to go running into in the middle of a crowded street and it's one of the easiest ways that he'd pushed people away. he tends to also get that way when women who were supposed to just be meaningless flings try to tie him down for one reason or another. it bothers him to no end and he's not one to easily tolerate it. risk taker marcus tends to get bumped and bruised a lot in his line of work because he doesn't allow for stunt doubles. he believes that the truest way to shoot a film is to have the same person throughout the entire thing so he doesn't have someone to do his stunts, not to mention the fact that he spends his entire off time keeping in shape and likes to test himself. he does his own stunts and he won't let someone else tell him otherwise. he loves spinning out on cars and getting into wrecks and just doing whatever he has to for a role. it tends to make his mother's hair go gray faster than she'd like, especially knowing that the stunts she sees on a movie screen are real, but it's just the way he works and his stubborn self won't let anyone talk him down. SKILLS hockey, football, rugby, basically any kind of sport, acting, public speaking, voice-overs, etc. EXPERIENCE at the age of eighteen marcus cavanaugh was forced to make a decision between being a professional hockey player and going into a college play league in the hopes of going pro, or becoming an actor. though sports had always been his life and had always been his outlet, marcus chose acting and he and the family moved to new york in order for him to try and pursue these dreams. he auditioned for his first role and landed a starring role as thomas aprea in the film laguna. from there he got his frist taste of filming and film promotion and he fell in love with it. in '02 marcus took on the role of albert mondego in the count of monte cristo, a small, walk-on role as chas quilter in his first television appearance in the inspector lynley mysteries, and as soldier colley in the made for t.v. movie goodbye, mr. chips. he played the role of stephen colley in the film i capture the castle as well as a one-episode stint on television's midsomer murders as simon mayfield in 2003. he took on the role of mike in '05 rendition of hellraiser: hellworld, and played the hunter and humphrey in '07's red riding hood and stardust, respectively. also in 2007, marcus got his most well-renowned role yet as charles brandon on showtime's television series the tudors, a role which he played for four seasons. marcus has just finished up a production os immortals in which he has his first real starring role since his first acting experience while playing the role of theseus. presently marcus has recently learned that he has been tapped to play the infamous clark kent in the latest superman rendition. |
