CONFIDENT - From karaoke nights at a downtown bar to skinny-dipping in the icy waters beneath Santa Monica Pier, there is nothing that phases this woman. She has done it all, believing in accepting any experience life throws at you and making the most of it. PUSHY - So sure of herself, Dannii doesn't hesitate to let others know when she believes they should be doing something differently. Leadership is something she excels at but sometimes she can come off as bossy to those around her and it's not something people appreciate. Dannii generally isn't aware of this issue as she sees herself as taking charge and organising her co-workers in an effort to remain efficient. FLIRTY - Since puberty blessed Dannii with a shapely figure and well proportioned body, she has been painfully aware of how attractive she is to the opposite sex. Her frisky nature earned her a reputation in her hometown as something of a sex kitten, loving the feeling of being desired and pursued by a man. A few dalliances with co-workers have not helped her reputation over the years but she has always been careful never to get involved with anyone inappropriate. Flings with low level temporary employees are one thing, but she would never get involved with her boss... DELUDED - Through her last employment, Dannii met a struggling actor who she dated for three years and believed to be "The One". There was much hype made about an important announcement at her thirtieth birthday party which turned out to be a big movie role he had been cast in rather than the marriage proposal she had been hoping for. She broke up with him before her party ended and has sworn off serious relationships since. This summer has been two months of pure, no strings attached fun and she is thoroughly enjoying herself. She claims she is no longer blinded by the fairytale love illusion she was taught as a child but deep down she would still love to be swept off her feet by a prince charming type. BLUNT - It seems as though Dannii can be quite cold at times due to her belief in giving complete honesty to those foolish enough to ask her opinion. It isn't intentional and she certainly sees no harm in answering a question with a truth, though sometimes she can be a little too honest for her own good. She has left friends stunned by answering the age old question "Does this make me look fat?" with a simple "Yeah" and colleagues embarassed by remarks such as "Your brother is cute. I'd do him." SKILLS Drive, drive, drive. That has always been Dannii's strongest attribute. She is incredibly self-motivated and works extremely hard to achieve her goals. Through the years working as an assistant to many executives in Los Angeles, Dannii has become an excellent and speedy typist, acquired great organisational skills and learned how to charm almost any person left in her charge. She excelled in languages in school and is fluent in English (obviously), French and her mothers' native tongue, Armenian. Although a rare language, it has proven useful on a few occasions. Through her experience with computers she has also learned a few tricks with regards to software issues and general troubleshooting so co-workers often ask her advice on errors if the tech support officer is not available. Outside of work Dannii has a few talents that most people don't know about. As her friends have learned, even in a drunken stupor, Dannii is a karaoke queen. Although not always perfectly in key, she does possess a decent voice and uses it to entertain her friends on crazy nights out. She is also quite infamous among her circle of friends for her tendency to dance on the bar and occasionally, when intoxicated enough, to allow others to do shots of her toned stomach. Partying is a sport she has well perfected. As a child of the beautiful coastal resort of Santa Monica, Dannii also enjoys various outdoor activities such as tennis, volleyball, cycling and, of course, sunbathing. She attacks each activity with the same ferocity and competitiveness as she does in other aspects of her life and does not rest until she attains a level of accomplishment she can be proud of. EXPERIENCE Dannii was one of those kids who didn't know exactly what they wanted to be when they grew up but she did know that whatever it would be, she wouldn't be happy until she was the best at it. Like most children she grew up watching sweet, picture perfect portrayals of life on both her television set and the silver screen. In search of her own fairytale happy ending, she signed up for auditions for a school production of Rent and landed the relatively small but important role of Joanne. After her short run in the spotlight, she knew that acting was not the way she wanted to go. Following lines on a page and the direction of someone else irritated her and she craved the power to control her own path. An early love of organising everything from her mothers closet to the contents of the pantry lead Dannii to seek out a more administrative role in life. She took a keen interest in business and IT, even taking extra classes after school and honing her grasp of databases, spreadsheets and various other tools. Although the entertainment industry was always of interest to her, she knew her involvement in it wouldn't be as straight forward are her siblings who dreamt of being on the stage. An internship with her uncle at his photography studio as a temporary assistant was all it took to open her eyes to what she was truly best at. She aided him in his preparations for photo sessions, was on hand to help with anything from clothes fitting to light positioning during his shoots and helped clean up afterwards. After her first two or three days she began to anticipate problems and requirements before her uncle and was on hand to pre-empt any disasters she envisioned him encountering. So pleased with her input, he offered her a permanent position while she completed a degree in Business Administration at UCLA. She has worked in a few different offices as a personal assistant, in each making her mark and earning the stellar reputation she currently holds as a thorough and reliable assistant. Her various employers have all been entertainment related though in different fields around the industry. Her first place was with her uncle's photo studio from which she moved on to an entertainment lawyers' office and then finally to an acting agency, where she met her ex-boyfriend. After their break-up she wanted a change, more specifically, she didn't want to work in an office where he would frequently be able to track her down and pester her. Asking a few contacts about potential career moves she was told about the possibility of an opening as a personal assistant to Randy Demarco, talent manager and owner of Randy Records. She was anxious for a change and applied at the first opportunity. She got the job and is looking forward to a fresh start in a new office where she can once again shine.

She shoots the driver an unimpressed glance through the rear view mirror and judging by how quickly his gaze is averted, she assumes he received the message loud and clear. Pulling her small, silver compact mirror from her bag she checks her reflection for any sign of the distress she is being subjected to in this horribly sweaty taxi ride. It's her first day in her new job and she had no intentions of making anything less than a perfect first impression on her new colleagues. Her long, sleek, glossy black hair had been straightened and conditioned to show off it's impressive natural shine and her make-up, although perhaps a little heavier than others would wear to the office, was still intact. Smoky eyes were her vice, this much she knew to be true. When she was just six years old her mother Lucine had told her that her eyes would set her apart from the other girls in Santa Monica. No one else had the exotic look that Dannii possessed and she could make it her advantage if she learned how to utilise it. As a teenager Dannii made this a priority and ever since she had relied on it to accentuate her Armenian features in order to stand out from the crowd for everything from being picked first to dance at the high school dance to catching the attention of a potential employer ahead of other candidates. It seemed to have worked so far, although she had been disappointed that the interviewer for this particular position had not been the man she would actually be working for. She didn't know much about Randy Demarco, other than the few shreds of information that a google search had turned up. It seemed as though he was an excellent businessman who had a gift for finding and developing new talent and Dannii had a feeling that he was exactly the kind of man she would respect as a boss. He had a background in the marines so she imagined he would be quite regimented and a fan of routines, which earned him another point in her book. All in all, it sounded like an opportunity that would not only help her escape a personal nightmare but take her to a new scope within the industry and allow her to make some new contacts. In this business it wasn't about what you knew, but who you knew, and Dannii had always been keen to know anyone who had a means of improving her prospects. Closing her mirror with a click, she slips it back inside her bag and glances out of the window. She knew they were close now and felt those familiar butterflies in her stomach, not nerves but excitement. This was her new start, her fresh slate, the first day of this new era in her life. Professionally, she knew she had this in the bag. No one had outdone her as an assistant in many years and her former employer was extremely reluctant to let her go when she informed him she had applied for this position. She came highly recommended and she cherished that reputation greatly. Passing a few folded bills through the partition, she slinks out of the cab and finds herself in front of a large office block. Impressive was the only word that came to mind. Obviously business was as good as she had read it was. Moments later she enters through the main door and is met by a pleasant receptionist. The young woman's eyes scan her body briefly before she meets Dannii's eyes with something of a puzzled expression. "Can I help you?" came the bewildered greeting and Dannii met her confusion with a bright, friendly smile. "Danielle Buxton. I'm the new assistant. I'm to report to Mr Demarco." A flash of recognition passes the young girls' features and she is eager to pass on directions to Mr Demarco's office. The sound of Dannii's Louboutins echoes as she confidently struts to the elevator and selects the appropriate floor. Taking an even breath, she can't help smiling to herself as the doors close. So many things had changed in her life lately and this job was just another symbol of her assertion that she would move on. She deserved better than being thirty years old and being left on the shelf by some struggling actor. She was at the top of her own career and personally, she was having more fun than she ever had before by simply embracing the moment and having fun instead of worrying about the fairytale ending she had desired for so long. Today was a new beginning. Today she was a new woman. As the elevator doors open and she takes her first steps into the plush offices of Randy Demarco, she felt an overwhelming assurance wash over her that this was the best thing she had done in a long time.
