personality evaluated. abe is a really down to earth guy. he's laid back, and there really aren't a whole lot of things that get him extremely upset or excited. he may seem a little eccentric from the outside looking in, but once you're in, you'll find him to be quite normal. he comes off as shy because he likes minding his own business. he doesn't appreciate others trying to meddle in what isn't theirs to meddle with, so he obsessed with keeping his nose out of other peoples' business. he likes trusting people and is generally pretty lax about doing so because he believes in giving people a chance. abram is actually a very outgoing guy once you get to know him. he's sweet and would do just about anything for just about anyone. he isn't quick to judge, and absolutely adores children. growing up, his mother was a nanny, so he was surrounded by different children all the time. abram is very forgiving, and generally accepts apologies with ease. he doesn't hold grudges, and strong believes in forgiving and forgetting. it often gets him in the same mess more than once, but he's usually pretty cool about dealing with it. he's always been pretty mature, especially for his age.
abe is also very optimistic. he doesn't like to be sad about anything, so he'll find the silver lining in every situation. he's also compassionate and understanding. he's a good listener. a trait most people wouldn't expect him to have is boldness. if there's something abram wants, he generally doesn't hesitate to try to get it. he's not afraid to bring up touchy topics or step on people's toes a bit, even though he's generally a passive person. he's not one to stress about things or be a worry wart and doesn't blow things out of proportions. he handles tough situations with ease. he also doesn't usually get nervous either. he's extremely mellow. even though he didn't go to college, he is rather bright. he's never been particularly good at math or science, but he enjoys reading a lot. he's extremely trustworthy, though sometimes he has the tendency to be forgetful. he's very loving and easily attached. abe is also a pretty grateful fellow. if someone does him a favor, he's sure to repay them for it. he appreciates anyone in this world who is willing to lend a helping hand, and thinks they should all be rewarded for it. abe also doesn't show fear. instead of seeming frightened, he'll seem more apathetic. he'll throw on that stoic face in the face of danger, so that way he doesn't seem affected. to this day he isn't sure why he does it.

history evaluated. abram was born a healthy baby to wade and michelle brooks, who feared they'd never have children. they met late in life, but didn't want to rush into having a life together. they tried for about three years until michelle finally got pregnant with abe, who turned out to be a very easy pregnancy and birth. michelle worked as a nanny, sometimes going to her client's homes, sometimes bringing the children back to their home, which made bringing abe very easy. he turned into quite the little mama's boy, never really wanting to have anything to do with his father. even when he was little, wade tried to persuade him to try some sports like basketball and soccer, but all abe wanted to do was sit inside and draw pictures for his mom. wade disapproved, so he convinced michelle they should try for another baby, which they did, and were successful. his sister ariel was born.
she, too, was taken everywhere with their mother until she began school. abe loved his little sister and enjoyed helping take care of her. he was a compassionate child, always worried about his friends' well being. that translated into his school-life, where he made several friends rather quickly. he proved to be extremely artistic, never wanting to go outside and run around like a hooligan at recess; instead wanting to stay inside and play with crayons. he eventually fit into his own skin, finding out who he was with a rather normal childhood, though his father was always disappointed that he could never teach his son sports or anything that a father should. instead, abe could be found by his mother's side, caring for any of her clients' children or cooking in the kitchen.
when abe hit high school, he found it to be a bit of a culture shock. going from a smaller middle school to one of the larger high schools in miami, he actually quickly found his niche within the student body. he fit right in among the artists, and was actually somewhat of a class clown. he was always kind of quiet, but that didn't stop him from cracking a joke that had the whole class roaring every now and then. he didn't have any remarkable friends, at least until he had chemistry his sophomore year with a girl named paisley booth, who sat directly in front of him due to the alphabetical seating arrangement. he'd seen her around before and always thought she was really cute, but why would a girl like her wanna hang around a guy like him? he often sold himself short, since he actually was a great guy. but anyway, they had to be lab partners, which prompted them to speak to and get to know each other. eventually, he ended up making doodles of their projects or making fun of the teacher that he'd pass to her as his way of flirting.
no doubt, abram brooks had a crush on his hands. and a big one at that. he'd never had that feeling before, so he had no clue how to act on it, and he did the only thing he knew how to do: he was her best friend for three years. they did everything together, well, paisley, abram, and paisley's twin sister, whom abe was very fond of as well. the booth sisters were inseparable, and that soon became the case between them both (particularly paisley) and abram.
senior year was a big one for abram. he never quite got the courage to ask her to prom the way he wanted to, but he'd convinced a couple of the girls in their group of friends to suggest that he and paisley go to prom together, and it worked. the night was unlike any other of his life thus far - he knew he was in love with her. they both lost their virginities to each other that night, and the rest was history. just a month after their high school graduation, they got married. the whole time abram's mother was supportive, because she knew how passionate abe was toward paisley (abe told his mother everything.. including that they'd slept together), while his father, once again did not back abram's decision. he argued that his son was much too young, and that he needed to experience the world before he got himself wrapped up in marriage. while wade was always very nice to paisley, he only very grudgingly attended the wedding, taking his seat somewhere near the back with a gruff expression the whole time. as much as abram wanted his father to support his marriage to paisley, he understood why the man didn't and decided not to make a big deal out of it. he knew his father loved him.
once they moved in together and got their lives settles, abe became somewhat of a freelance artist. he picked up a couple jobs doing caricatures and portraits for families at different occasions, then he opened up a photography studio and realized it wasn't really his passion. he got a job at a tattoo parlor, which he enjoyed, but decided it wasn't his passion either. he never went to college; he didn't see the point in paying outrageous amounts of money to learn how to do what he already knew how to do so well. he knew he wanted to make art, so make art he did. he eventually began painting backdrops and scenery for the local theatre company, which he enjoyed much more than anything he'd done thus far. painting was his true passion; it didn't even matter what he was painting. he was an artist, and when he had a vision, he could carry that out and it would benefit someone, which was important to him. paisley's support was also very important to him, and he received it in surpluses.
he then reopened his photography studio to bring in some extra cash. they weren't hurting, he brought in a decent amount from painting, but he also loved taking photos, he realized. so working both jobs kept abram interested and passionate about his work, which was key to being successful. at that point, he was twenty-two, and was scouted by a producer to paint sets for a small indie film, which got him interested in painting for movies as well as live dramatic productions. it took him away from miami sometimes, but he loved doing it, and it brought in a truckload more cash than any of his previous jobs. his name began to spread among small-time directors and producers, and before long he had several different projects. his life was going swell.. at least until the february after he turned twenty-four.
paisley's sister hadley had gone to new york to pursue and acting career, and had apparently been involved in an automobile accident and died. it was sad news for everyone, and he was more than worried about his wife, who talked to her twin sister on the phone at least twice every day. they had been so close, and now she was gone. abe was worried about paisley, and he did all he could to comfort her when it was also sad for him, who had grown quite close to all paisley's family. he did several art pieces in her memory which were all at the funeral, and that's when abe's world came crashing down. he thought paisley was just running around the funeral home, but when all was said and done, she was nowhere to be found. her mother came to abe with a handwritten note from paisley herself, who was gone. it was like abe had lost both sisters that day. abe wanted to fly to new york and get his girl, hold her and tell her it would be alright, but deep down he knew she needed time, which she had said in her note. he was beyond heartbroken, now having to face reality without his wife. his work became uninspired for a while, until he convinced himself that he wasn't going to be separated from his wife forever. he missed her dearly, since they did almost everything together. they shared a love that was rare to see anymore, and it killed him to know that wasn't alive anymore. he continued to wear his wedding ring the entire time, trying to just push through life and let paisley have her space.
now that it's been a couple months, he isn't sure he can go a whole lot longer without her. he plans to move his photography business north to new york, and take up residence there. her family completely supports him in doing so, seeing as they're just as worried about her. he doesn't want to invade her personal time, but he misses her, and wants to make sure she's alright.
