personality evaluated.
Jude is all 'round good guy - how refreshing. He's a very passionate person and takes the art of drama very seriously. Because of that he's become quite the great actor that France has come to known. His love for the arts is a trait he got from his painter mother, which grew only because the kids at school didn't tease him about it. He's a very multi-talented guy who can paint, play music and even plays sport, but acting is his first and greatest love. People have often called him free-spirited (something he got from his mother). But when it's too much for him to handle, Jude also has the ability to hide his feelings and make it hard for people to read him. That being said, there are times that do call for Jude to be extremely friendly and happy, often leading to him become a major risk-taker and quite the daring individual. He'll drag people into doing things they usually wouldn't do but he himself would, for fun and to get them out of their shells.
There isn't really anything bad to say about this lad except for the fact that he has ambition. He's pushed and pulled strings to get where he is today, but that's not with its disappointments and struggles. Using his intelligence he will fight and stop at nothing to get what he wants, but if the risk is just too much, he won't mind taking a fall. Problems can also arise when his passion takes over him and he becomes hot headed, over-ambitious and manipulative.
A fine fellow, Jude is a more than friendly person, a little rugged at times but nonetheless very friendly. There are times when he can be immature as well (and this is where his "rugged friendliness" comes from) when you see him at a football games or when he drinks. He's rather open-minded, and loves taking a good laugh when someone stuffs up a line or does something stupid on set aka, bloopers. He'll tease other actors as well and always likes to stay friends and keep in touch with his co-workers. In other words, he's a people person and likes being social and being around people. If he feels lonely, he'll go to the bar and will end up singing patriotic songs with the locals by the end of the night. He also doesn't mind hanging around women. He's grown a respect towards women and appreciates them more than most men would.

history evaluated.
The tale between Martin and Lorraine didn't start out like a sweet tale of boy meets girl. While boy did meet girl, boy didn't really like girl because she was different. See, Lorraine was artistic and considered herself a free spirit, while Martin was anything but. Nonetheless the two remained to be assignment partners for a class they happened to have taken that semester at the University of Leeds in England. It was as though they were from two different worlds, and they literally were. Martin came from London and had a little bit of prestige, while Lorraine was from good ol' Hoboken in New Jersey who happened to be studying in England that year. So what had Martin fall in love with Lorraine? The fact that she was way too friendly and very accepting of the fact that Martin had different opinions than her. It stunned him that someone could be so open-minded and thus he eventually changed his mind about her.
The first few years after graduating university/college saw Martin undertake his PhD in economics while Lorraine focussed on her dream to be a successful artist. While people their age were off enjoying young married life and having families, both Martin and Lorraine were content with focussing on their careers right there in England. It wasn't until 1980 that the couple finally decided to try for a baby. During an exhibition at a gallery she now owned, Lorraine broke the news to her husband who was now writing for a finance journal and teaching part-time at Leeds. Naturally, Martin was ecstatic but was even more happy when he found out that his wife was having twins - a boy and girl. Around five months into the pregnancy, Martin had suggested to his wife that they move to her hometown back in the USA, and they did, relocating and hoping to raise their family in New Jersey.
In 1981, Jude (who was older by five minutes) and Leni were born in a hospital near Hoboken where their family lived for a few years. At the time Martin was working at a small time magazine company, but also managed to find work at Columbia University in New York City. Lorraine was taking a break from her art to focus on being a mother and Jude and Leni grew up in a nice, very stable home there in New Jersey. The two little kids weren't that close at first. Ever since they were born it seemed they weren't destined to get along. Perhaps it was the fact that they spent nine months stuck together in a confined space and were already sick of each other. It was a good thing that Lorraine stopped working seeing as looking after two young kids took a lot of work.
When Jude and his sister were in the first grade, Martin was offered a job to teach at the Paris Dauphine University in France. As opposed to his job in the USA, this job in France meant more hours and more money. Lorraine saw this as the perfect opportunity to live a better life seeing as she could pick up where she left off in her art in a place which was basically a Mecca for artists. As Jude and Leni had just started school, it was less hard for the young kids to readjust to a new school. Of course, they attended an international school until they felt that they learned a decent amount of French. Jude himself found the whole experience exciting and doused himself in the fact that he was somewhere new. It didn't take him long to get used to it all, at least he had his family there.
During his school days Jude was a good boy. He was intelligent like his father, but free-spirited and artistic like his mother. He was speaking French fluently and acquainted himself quite well with the French society. In high school his artsyness had resulted in him becoming an art kid taking up art, drama and music subjects. He picked up the guitar to be musical, started taking photos to be artistic, and took up acting in school plays to be dramatic. Luckily for him France had an appreciation for art and thus he wasn't teased for the things he did. He had taken up sport as well, playing soccer for a few years in high school to be fit and athletic, but he knew being creative was something he wanted to do in the long run.
His passion for acting didn't begin until his senior year of high school when he played the title role in his school's production of Hamlet. He found the stage exhilarating and loved becoming another person for the entertainment of other people. It was when he was 18 that he then enrolled in France's Cours Florent drama school (whose former students included the likes of Eva Green, Guillaume Canet, Gaspard Ulliel and Audrey Tautou). When he graduated Cours Florent, he was cast in a few theatre productions, travelling around the country. He also started out in minor roles and guest appearances on French television shows, before graduating to films and eventually becoming a lead male in almost every role where he has acted along-side people like Clemence Poesy, Gaspard Ulliel, and Audrey Tatou.
Despite the fact that everyone in France now adored Jude Rhodes, he always considered himself American and and thus has switched back and forth working between France and the USA. His good acting skills has allowed him to graduate to male leading roles in US films, not just French. One day he's hoping to be seen among the ranks of Leonardo DiCaprio or Matt Damon, and he's very close. It's also recently that he has taken on the idea of becoming a musician - using his guitar skills and forming a small blues band with two of his friends from New Jersey.
