It was funny how time would go by so slow when you actually had little to do for once. Dawn was actually able to take Hunter, her Britney Spaniel, out for a nice long walk at the park instead of a quick one around the block after waking up past eight that morning. The three year old dog had been so happy that he had placed several slobbery milk bones in his owner's bed in appreciation. Of course Dawn hadn't seen this until she came out of the bathroom showered, dressed, and ready for the day, When was the last time she had felt this rested? She honestly couldn't remember, but regardless she felt energized and that was without a single cup of coffee.
Pacing throughout her apartment she would spot things to straighten out. Books, movies, shoes, clothes...It had became such a mess lately that she was relived to be able to take the time to clean her home. She liked keeping things in order and yet at the same time she wanted her home to feel open and warm. It didn't take long for thing to start looking good and within an hour she was cleaning out her fridge while keeping her eye on the time. While her day had been empty of any obligations thus far she did have one task to happily fulfill. In two hours she would have to head to LAX, which really meant that she would have to leave in the next hour to get through the midday traffic. She really did hate driving in the city and would do practically anything to avoid it so she wouldn't get that tense and stress feeling of having to deal with so many idiotic drivers.
...But she was willing to risk her insanity for her best friend, Zane Owens, being that she had promised that she would pick him up from the airport when he had left around a week ago. The two of them had been childhood friends both having grown up two and a half hours apart in Kansas. Zane's mother had been from Dawn's home town so he would often visit over the summer. With Yates Center being the small town that it was there really weren't that many kids in their age group so natural the two hung out and became close over time as if they were always meant to be that way. Now years later it just so happened that they both took a liking to the entertainment industry and lived in Hollywood.
With a content sigh Dawn slipped some black flats on her feet before grabbing her bag and leaving her apartment wearing a white button-up blouse, a fitted grey vest, and jeans. After climbing into her 2005 red jeep wrangler she quickly made her way onto the freeway preparing for the worse, but surprisingly traffic was at a steady flow. With a few strands of long brown hair pinned back behind her head she lowered the driver's window a little bit just to feel the nice breeze upon her bare face.
Having got there in record time she knew she was there to early so after parking she sat and listened to music for a few minutes before she became too anxious and bored. Getting out of the jeep she walked into the airport heading for the area right before you reached security and right next to there was where people came out having gotten off their flights. Smelling freshly brewed coffee she stopped at a small cafe and got a small latte to sip on as she waited around. Standing up against a wall she glanced up to look at a screen informing people of departures and arrivals. Which flight was he on? Running a hand through her hair with a small smirk her eyes kept traveling to the hall where people where walking out of expecting to see Zane walking around that corner anytime soon.
