the stats FULL NAME Louise Georgina Marcel AGE & DOB Twenty-Five; June 18 ACTOR AGE RANGE N/A HOMETOWN Brooklyn, New York CURRENT LOCATION Los Angeles ETHNICITY French-American LANGUAGE English & French SEXUAL ORIENTATION Heterosexual HAIR COLOR Brown EYE COLOR Green HEIGHT 5 feet WEIGHT 123 lbs. DISTINGUISHING FEATURES Pouty lips | deeper perspective STRENGTHS Passionate. Georgie is a very passionate person. It shows in her excitement. She tries to immerse herself in a variety of situations and then go about explaining why her opinions work. She is mostly passionate about her work, as well as her not-so-secret ambition to be a writer. Approachable. When she's not irritating people, she can be quite approachable. Georgie is a phenomenal listener, as well as someone willing to take the time to explain something, especially if she agrees with you. Optimistic. Georgie, while known for her sarcasm, is also something of an optimist. She's full of positive, New Age thinking, as well as spunk and energy. Georgie tries, in vain mostly, to inspire others to ditch the negativity in favor of something positive. Ambitious. It's no secret that she wants nothing more than to be a screenwriter, and perhaps a director/producer at some point. She's only taking the job she has as a means to an end, a way to climb the ladder. And while she's very ambitious, that doesn't mean she's willing to sleep with any studio head's either. She'd rather do it her own way. Imaginative Georgie is full of creativity; she's always working on her own side-projects. Her imagination seems to know no boundaries. She likes to think of herself as an artistic person at heart, even if her current job showcases none of her real talents. WEAKNESSES Sarcastic. This is probably Georgie's best known-trait, and it's also her biggest downfall at times. While she's a pretty positive person, she can also be extremely sarcastic and fails to take most things said or done by others seriously. It's something of a defense mechanism and a way for her to appear indifferent and "cool". Rude/Outspoken. Georgie has a big-mouth and will say and do whatever she wants. She doesn't really care about how she might come off. Her opinions are the only ones that matter in her mind. She can hurt and offend people, whether through verbal or written interactions and has found herself dismissed from certain projects because of always feeling the need to speak her mind. Reckless. She's also pretty wild and rebellious and doesn't take to authority figures too well, really. She's willing to try anything once, which doesn't always bode well for her. Arrogant. Geogie is arrogant, not because of her looks or anything, but because of her "I'm better than what I'm doing" mentality that she rams down everyone's throats. She has a habit of letting everyone know of her skills and how everything and everyone is beneath her for whatever reason. It can be very off-putting. Impatient. Geogie wants what she wants when she wants it. She doesn't like waiting around for other people to do things. She wants it done now. She's already growing restless with her stagnant life and is slowly beginning to jump the gun with being a location assistant. SKILLS Georgie is a writer at heart, having penned one novel (it didn't really go anywhere) as well as writing several plays and screenplays. That's her main talent, as well as being very good with the financial side of the industry (that is a skill she intends on saving for a rainy day, however). EXPERIENCE
* denotes independently released films Louise changed her name to Georgie Alpine for two reasons. One, she hated "Louise" and two, Alpine sounded cooler, in her opinion, while also downplaying her Frenchness. While working on sets or location, Georgie is usually writing up a storm, never losing sight of the real reason she left New York. She's made something of a name for herself, having worked on both small and big budget productions. While her name is not easily recognized by the public, she is something of an industry insider, having connections to legendary directors, as well as up and coming starlets and other actors. Georgie's proudest achievement has to include working with Clint Eastwood and Angelina Jolie in "Changeling", a movie that was nominated for a few Academy Awards. However, she's also found herself in trouble with producers and studio heads who find her style confrontational. She's gotten herself kicked out of productions for her opinions and is something of a "talented headcase", one producer said. "If she were an actress, she'd be in the papers for causing trouble not for having any talent", another said. She hides neither her ambitions or feelings about the entire scene, and while she's a bit of trouble, there's no denying her work ethic and attention to detail. If film doesn't pan out, she plans on returning to her home-city and trying her luck at television, already in the process of writing a pilot episode for a show no one most likely wants to see. Georgie is dedicated to her craft but has the desire and the knowledge that she should be doing more than she is. Primarily, she sticks to indie, small-budgeted movies (aka, films no one has ever seen more or less heard of) and has even helped finance some herself. She has a rapport with a lot of indie actors, directors, and some independent studios as well, making sure she always has a job, even when she clashes with the creative elements. While she's a "location assistant" (mainly for bigger productions), Georgie usually has a lot more to offer than just that. |

It was times like these that Ray almost wished he were dead. He looked at himself in his dusty mirror and grimaced. The man staring back at him didn't look familiar; it was all haunting. His bloodshot eyes seemed to age him, his short, dark hair was disheveled and he smelled of booze. Of course, what was new these days? Ray always smelled of booze. He was trying desperately to get his drinking under control, yet, anytime he was dealing with a touch case, he couldn't help himself. He had to get out of his deperssing apartment and do so quickly. Ray soon found himself walking aimlessly around Riverton Hills. He hated this place just like he hated this city. He hated everything around him. He hated how everyone acted. He hated knowing he had no control over his own actions. He hated his job, his wife, but above all else, he hated his life. He was a drunk. He was a cop. He was a bigot. He hated himself. There was a lot of hate brewing inside of him and he had no real outlet for it. So, he turned to the Supers and their ilk. It was the only way he could rectify and excuse himself. His colleagues put up with him because they knew he was the best. He knew they hated him. He knew that they knew he was going through more than he could handle. He knew a lot of things but didn't really want to admit that he needed help. To admit that would be that he was weak. To admit weakness would mean that they won. He wasn't sure who "they" were supposed to be but in his mind, that didn't really matter. What mattered was knowing that there was always someone else to blame. Ray was a complicated man, but he liked to put on a front as if he was just like anyone else. He wasn't. No, he couldn't leap over mountains, he couldn't raise automobiles and he couldn't fight with fire. What made him special was his uncanny ability to ignore the obvious, to take grand leaps of faith on nothing more than a rumor. There was a reason he didn't have many partners. There was a reason he preferred working alone. Whatever that reason was, he didn't think anyone had a right to know. So, they just put up with it like they did all his other quirks. And boy did he have a lot of quirks. Ray had spent so much of his adult life hating things and blaming others that it sort of left him with this unique, albeit depressing outlook on life. She always told him that one day, he'd lose his mind. Little did she know that those days were slowly coming together. Eventually, he wasn't going to be able to make out the difference. Eventually, he was going to be locked away. But, that wasn't what depressed him. What depressed him had absolutely nothing to do with him. He remembered this city before 7th Sanctuary took control of it. He remembered what it used to be like. As a child, he idolized Haelmon and the Renegades. He looked up to them and wanted so desperately to be like them. But then something happened and they all disappeared and left him and the city with a mess. He was separated from his friends because he was a human with no abilities and his whole world was shattered. He might have been a young boy then, but it stayed with him forever. He had been so consumed in his thoughts that he hadn't recognized where he was. It didn't matter much. If it was his time, it was his time. Lucky for him, he found a small bar and quickly walked in. He stumbled over to the counter, asked for a martini and proceeded to drink all of it. When did his life get so complicated? How long had he been unhappy? But more importantly, how much longer could he keep this up? He was working all the time and drinking just as much. Eventually, something was going to come to ahead. | |
