the stats FULL NAME darsella lynn o'conner AGE & DOB twenty, january 6th ACTOR AGE RANGE 17-25 HOMETOWN long beach, california CURRENT LOCATION los angeles, california ETHNICITY irish LANGUAGE english, american sign language, and irish SEXUAL ORIENTATION heterosexual HAIR COLOR brown/blonde EYE COLOR brown HEIGHT five foot eight WEIGHT one hundred and twenty three pounds DISTINGUISHING FEATURES tall height, sharp nose, and the tattoo 'believe' on the left side of her back. | deeper perspective STRENGTHS DETERMINED - Since she was four years old, Darsee knew she wanted to be famous, mostly because she wanted to know it was possible to be disabled and be famous. She had no examples in her life to look up to, and she wanted to be an example for those kids young, watching her with a serious disability. When Darsee wants something, she basically gets it, and not in a spoiled brat sort of way. She does what she has to do to achieve her goal, and let's nothing stand in her way. FRIENDLY - Literally, she will befriend anyone without a second thought. Though she may not consider you a friend, she will be cordial and cheery with you, and is never upfront rude. She's the type of girl who in high school sat with the kid who didn't have too much friends at lunch time, and hung out with everyone - whether it be the drama kids, the artists, or musicians. TRUTHFUL - If you ask Darsee's opinion, be sure you'll be receiving her honest thoughts. Whether they're hurtful or helpful, it's how Darsee feels and her parents taught her never to lie just to make someone feel better. She feels that if you lie about it, sooner or later it'll catch up with you and just make the situation ten times worse than it would have been originally. OPINIONATED - Though she's not the type to go Bible thumping, or force you into a cult, Darsee has a certain way she views the world and feels this is a fantastic quality about her, because it adds to her drive to what she wants. It's not to say she'll jump down your throat if you don't believe what she does, but respectively, her opinion is hers and yours is yours. CARING - Get past all this instinctive behavior, and you'll find Darsee's a particularly caring girl. While she loves to meet people and is friendlier than a playful pup, she only considers a few select people her "best friends", and those are literally her ride or die's. She'd do anything for those guys. You have to be worthy to get into this group, and be able to relate to her childhood on some level. WEAKNESSES CHARMER - Most people would find this a good thing, but it really isn't. Darsee uses people - just in a nice way. If you've got something valuable to her, she'll buddy up to you, get what she wants, and then slowly but eventually let you go if she doesn't see you as a friend or if you have nothing else for her to use. This way she doesn't seem like a user. LOW SELF ESTEEM - While Darsee doesn't come off as someone who's got the highest, cocky self esteem, most would think she's got an average aura about her. However, this is nowhere near the truth. Seeing that she's only had one boyfriend, Ryan, who didn't work, she thinks it's her slow speech, hearing problems, and overall EVERYTHING that is driving people away. Add to the fact she's trying to become a famous actress and it hasn't happened yet while there are four-year-olds more famous than she, she thinks she's just not likeable sometimes. SPEECH DELAYED - Because of her deafness up until age eight, Darsee was developmentally delayed with her speech, and upon first meeting her you may have to ask her to repeat what she said. Her speech has beyond improved since then, but she doesn't speak as well as the "average" person. For her roles, she has to study twice as hard and practice three times as much. RESERVED - Darsee has never been the one to be the in your face type of gal (though in no means is she shy!) Not being able to speak correctly for the first eight years of her lives, and being taunted for it, quieted her. However, now that she's older she thinks a lot. People tend to mistake this as a trait to mistreat or take advantage of her. DEPRESSED - Just last year, Darsee was diagnosed as clinically depressed and though that seems to have changed, she isn't too sure. She was the only witness to her brother's suicide on accident and since then dreaded life. Though the feeling came and went, it lingers inside her and is a dull ache in her body she can't shake. She's strong enough to not be crying about it everyday, but she does pay respect to her brother's grave once a month. SKILLS Acting, acting, acting! No but seriously, acting is her forte. But she's also got her Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, so she's also good with kids. EXPERIENCE

RP SAMPLE Although Karysn loved her job (but of course, because who else likes pulling bodies out of car accidents or treating bloodied victims?), she just as much loved her days off of work. Usually, her shift as an EMT ranged from one day to about three full days on duty. That meant she usually was spending the night at the hospital or staying up keeping watch for her co-workers while they slept, since she rarely slept, and if she did it was only for a couple of hours. It wasn't necessarily a bad life - Karsyn was even allowed to bring her cocker spaniel, Sandy, along with her because she had no one else to watch the dog while she was on duty. However, Karsyn ended up missing her apartment through the times she was scheduled to work grave yard or twenty-four hour shifts. Karsyn usually tried to stay at home with her days off, but there were always exceptions - Sandy or herself had health appointments, she had to go workout, parties, or things just needed to get done. Today Karsyn had labelled "Errand" day, and was doing so efficiently, with her last errand on the list being to go grocery shopping, which is what put here where she was now - the local grocery store that most people in town seemed to always be at. Karsyn wasn't an avid fan of this particular grocery store - for the most part, everything was packaged and had been processed so many times she wasn't even sure how people considered it food still. They had a decent "Organic" section, and their meat was usually fresh, which was good because if they hadn't, Kar probably would have ventured all the way out the city every week just for groceries, which was a waste of gas. With a tiny piece of paper in her hand, karsyn glanced over it, turning her cart expertly in the store as she reached for things on shelves and crossed whatever item that was out on her list. Today was a quiet day in the grocery store, meaning Karsyn didn't need to pay much attention to where she was going with the worry of running someone over. her mind was going through a million thoughts at once, combing over some things. Did Sandy have enough food at home to last her another week? Payday was yesterday. Was the victim from the car crash three days ago stable yet? Running a hand through her curly, black mass of hair, she rounded the corner of an aisle quickly, only for her cart to crash into another; the impact of her abdomen folding over the handle bar of the cart had her let out a pained, "Humph." She gritted her teeth, grabbing her stomach to look up to who exactly she'd had the pleasure of running into. "You should really watch where you put that thing, you know." She said in a hostile manner. To say the least, Kar was not a people person. Unless she knew you well enough, or she deemed you worthy of being friendly with, she usually was sarcastic - but then again, that was because she felt everyone was a moron. Giving a loud, exaggerated sigh, she rammed her cart into the person's, pushing along so that her cart was pushing the other, moving it out of her way. "There, see, all better." She gave an impudent smile, reached next to the person, and grabbed what she needed, tossing it in her cart and crossing it off her list. Karsyn wasn't expecting a reply back. She stuck the pencil in the curve of her ear to hold it there, smirked, and turned behind her to grab something else. | |
