This thread here is basically a brief info thread and a heads up for you all so you'll know what'll happen come September (site time!) (:

The Toronto International Film Festival is a big deal in the movie industry. Each year, thousands of people flock in and out of the Toronto, Canada for the one thing that unites us all: film. From films that we loved in the past until now, TIFF is also famous for premiering new "sophisticated" movies of 2011 - AKA the potential Academy Award contenders. A public event, everyone is invited provided you've purchased your tickets before-hand! You'll be roaming around the city, catching public transport, or running to catch that movie in time at the right movie theater.

As for the directors, producers and actors of the films premiering, your duty here is to promote your movie and showcase it to ticket-holders and the press for them to review! You don't have to stay the whole week, only the days that you'll be there for your movie (the press conference with the pretty blue background during the day, and your premiere at the night). If you want, you can stay a few extra days seeing as there'll be parties and events almost every single night!

Just like Comic-Con, I've chosen a few of our movies to be showcased at TI's TIFF. These movies will be ones that are going to be released in theaters from now until January of next year (just in time for award season!). Note: I'll list the characters involved, but you don't have to attend if you don't want to, and if you're working at the same time in another part of the country/planet just pretend that you got those extra days off filming so that everyone can attend!

If you know that your character's play-by attended real life TIFF this year for a movie that I didn't/forgot to list, please let me know so I can put it up!
