Through all of Celia's excessive acting training, if she has learned one thing, it's that she can fake her emotions better than anyone. Even if she's in an uncomfortable position, Celia's ineffable charisma will win over anyone. "Fake it 'til you make it" has always been a motto that Celia has put into action. While some may question how genuine Celia is because of her method, her main goal is simply to make those around her happy, which is a truly unselfish goal. THICK SKIN. Celia has never been model-thin. Even though she's quite healthy and fit, her weight is fairly unusual for the acting business. She's heard from countless directors and producers that she was much too big for a certain role, and that her size was getting in the way of her talent. Because of the constant criticism of her body, she has developed an immunity to nearly all insults. With each new comment, Celia is ready to pick herself up and move on. She knows that if she listened to everyone who tried to change her, she wouldn't be able to recognize herself anymore. DETERMINATION. Going through fifteen years of training isn't easy, and that's something Celia will tell anyone in a heartbeat. There's nothing glamorous about working and working to perfect a certain monologue, technique, or song. But what brought Celia through all those grueling hours was the glimmer of hope that one day, she would succeed at her dream job. Despite people telling her that all her effort was for naught, saying that she would never make it, or just flatly saying she wasn't good enough, she pushed through and made use of her training. She hasn't made her big break yet, but she hasn't lost hope. INTEGRITY. In a place where most people are just out for themselves, Celia prides herself on being easy to talk to and extremely trustworthy. Even if she could get something out of spilling a secret to a tabloid, she'd rather risk her own reputation than tarnish someone else's. Celia is someone who tries to make sure the world's natural balance stays in order, and that's something she believes can only be achieved by being an honest, caring, and genuine person. ADVENTUROUSNESS. Celia lived her entire high school life focusing on her future career. After graduating, she realized that she had never had what she likes to call her "John Hughes Moment," in reference to classic movies like The Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles, in which a teenage student reaches some sort of revelation through antics usually not participated in by the student in question. Now, as an adult, Celia wants to try everything once, in search of that one great moment that she believes will define her life. Because of this search, Celia has become someone perceived as fun-loving and the type of girl to seize whatever opportunity comes her way. WEAKNESSES OVERLY TRUSTING. Celia often believes that everyone has a good side, even when some people truly don't deserve her naive outlook on life. She's been betrayed countless times by girls whom she thought were friends, when in fact they were just looking to improve their careers. While Celia is an adult, she's almost child-like in her inexperienced, flawed belief that everyone deserves her trust. INSECURITY. While Celia has indeed developed a thick skin over the years, her inability to get any major roles lately has caused her to wonder if she is, in fact, good enough to be in this business. Is it her weight getting in her way, or is it something more? In a career where the most attractive people get the best jobs, should she even try to succeed? She knows that she can do whatever she sets her mind to, but the constant criticism from other people has made her doubt herself. Her once-vibrant confidence has dwindled to a weak, unimpressive uneasiness. MOODINESS. The instability of Celia's life has left her with unstable emotions as well. She has been living from paycheck to paycheck for years now, after denying any money from her parents. She often snaps at those closest to her, because she knows that they'll always be there for her. However, sometimes her mood swings become so intense that there will be periods where she doesn't speak to anyone at all. Her emotions are clearly quite fragile, and many people walk on eggshells around her because they don't know when the next outburst will occur. AWKWARDNESS. For some reason, Celia's outstanding charm disappears when she speaks to an attractive male around her age. Then, she becomes a girly, giggling mess. While some may find this cute, most men just find her to be childish and insecure. She's improved vastly after a disastrous audition that involved a former male model, but her inability to flirt has never ceased to haunt her. HIGH EXPECTATIONS. Celia grew up knowing that she was gifted. Thankfully, her talent never translated into arrogance, but it did leave her with the unerring desire to be the best. While she doesn't compete with anyone in particular, she does compete with herself. She is constantly trying to impress the people around her, and when she doesn't succeed, it's a blow to her self-esteem. She can't help but silently compare herself to others, and she won't be satisfied until she is the prettiest, most-admired, and most successful girl in a room. SKILLS Before Celia began acting, she was an accomplished vocalist. Her musical theatre repertoire was unrivaled, and she excelled through both high school and regional theatres. Although her current career is devoid of music, she sings on the side. Additionally, Celia is a gifted actress, due to her years of theatrical training for stage performances. Unlike some actresses, her talent has come from years upon years of classical training. Celia has always regretted not exploring more options, though. She doesn't have any hobbies outside of acting and performing, because those are all she has known for her entire life. EXPERIENCE -TELEVISION Celia's experience in television greatly outmatches her non-existent film résumé. As a child she was hired for countless apparel ads and food commercials. Recently, she's been heavily featured on the soap opera circuit in minor roles. While the small amount of attention is flattering, Celia hopes to move on to bigger and better things. -TRAINING Ever since Celia was five, her after-school hours were filled with singing, acting, and dancing lessons. She attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia School for the Arts for all her four years of high school, where she was an Acting major. She is currently an acting student at Juilliard, but will most likely drop out if her career takes off. In college, she's an acting major as well, but with an emphasis on theatrical study. |

There were some days when the nostalgia completely took over her body, rendering her incapable of being interested in any part of her daily life. Peyton had never been one to wallow in self pity and scolded herself for taking for granted what she currently had. She was in good health, she was on good terms with friends, and she made good grades, but there was something missing from her life that she couldn't place--something she felt that she had had previously, then lost. but now, the better times were fading memories. rather than letting them go, she clung to them and forced herself to remember the past few years, even the embarrassing things she wasn't proud of. Her refusal to let go of the past brought her to days like this. She woke up fairly early and, dressing herself, looked to the empty bed next to hers. My old roommate used to sleep there, Peyton thought. She couldn't remember the girl's name, or which year she had stayed with her, but Peyton regarded it as an important part of her life. Before she even left the room, she began accumulating the baggage that left her heart so heavy. That was the window from which she once saw a makeshift quidditch match. Over there, that was where she met a good friend who had since graduated. To Peyton, there was a cloud that hovered above her wherever she went, that reminded her how all was not right with her life, and how it probably would never be. she knew she was being dramatic and unreasonable, but she couldn't stop herself from feeling the way she did. That was one of Peyton's problems, she cared too much about everyone and everything. She kept her heart full of compassion and sympathy for others and left nothing for herself. So when someone disappointed her or left, she was alone and heartbroken. She ambled around the school for a while, desperate to get out of the Rouerie common room, where too many things had happened. That was what ran through her mind everyday: something happened here, something happened over there. Peyton focused on the things that had happened, rather than the things that were happening. She knew that she should stay aware of the present, but the past brought back too many good emotions that she didn't think she could replicate now. All of her friends were gone. Some had left the school, others had graduated. Either way, they were gone. They had by now replaced Peyton and found other best friends. Peyton couldn't handle knowing that old friends were sharing new secrets and forgetting the ones that Peyton had been a part of. Her biggest fear was rejection. Replacement came in close second. Peyton eventually managed to find her way into the courtyard. She hesitated for a moment, examining each part of the gardens and, for once, couldn't think of anything that had taken place in that area. The courtyard was so vast, and the areas of it so identical, that Peyton couldn't remember where things had happened. She sat down on the nearest bench and admired the grass, for she had nothing else to look at. Cradling her head in her hands, she thought about what she could do to forget the unhappiness that plagued her every couple of months. After a while, she was just staring into space, not thinking about anything except for the smooth spring breeze that brushed against her. | |
