Charming- Kurt is one of those people you either love or hate, there isn’t an in-between. It’s hardly a secret to anyone that Kurt is well aware that being an English young man has its advantages, especially one who is in the acting business.
And he’ll use its advantage too; when he firsts meets someone he’ll determine whether they’re useful or a waste of time. Harsh yes, but if he deems you ‘useful’ you’ll be quite glad that you’ve met him. Introductions are important to Kurt, he’ll do his best and his best is pretty good as far as it goes. Though to him it is the art of conversation which manages to charm people, he won’t be the man telling strangers how stunning they are if he doesn’t think it’s true, but rather he’ll be the one having a sensible chat instead of gawping at the nearest woman.
Attention Seeker- Kurt is and always will strive for attention, of course he has his limits; shaving his head bald wouldn’t ever cross his mind. However, he does want the glory, the fame, the red carpet treatment and when he wants something; he usually makes sure he gets it.
Rude- Brought up in a family that would send you to you room without dinner if you even forgot to say ‘thank you’, Kurt excels in comedies in movies… But not so much in real life. Trying to make humour small talk is hard for him and often results in short bursts of nervous laughter. However he tends to find sarcasm helps an awful lot, of course if you’re on the receiving end of his wit then your not going to enjoy speaking to him so much and enemies are quite easy for Kurt to make simply because he can be downright rude.
But he’ll speak his mind and tell the truth, for example if he thinks you look like a hooker he’ll say so but if he thinks that the suit or dress your wearing is quite flattering he’ll mean it when he says so.
Fake- In front of the cameria, no celebrity is being their true selves. But Kurt isn't EVER his true self. Kurt may act as if he is better than everyone, he may act like he owns the world and he’ll happily boast about a new car he’s bought. But deep down he only hides behind such a controlled exterior because he just wants to be anyone but himself. Partly one of the reasons he got into acting, he’s terrified of letting anyone close because it’s better for them to hate someone he isn’t than have someone hate who he really is. The thought of someone knowing him inside out is one of Kurtis’s worst nightmares which is partly why settling down is the last thing on his to do list.

history evaluated.
• The creation- Kurt didn’t come from a well off family, his mother was a florist and his father had just started his first job at the local bank. However, Charles Brown did show good prospects, so the marriage of his mother and father was to be expected. It was a love which grew over time, there was certainly nothing romantic at the start of their relationship and as Kurt grew up he was well aware that his parents were more like best friends. They married and moved into a one bedroom apartment, for the time being work was all Kurt’s father was concentrating on, he strived to provide for his family and give them the best… However this changed with the surprise arrival of his brother Henry, they coped in the apartment for a while until Kurt came along and Charles decided it was time for a proper family home.
• Growing up- They moved to the country side, he transferred to a new bank and Ethel’s work could be taken pretty much everywhere. Buying a converted farm house, it seemed like the perfect place for their two sons to grow up, where they could be a proper family. But it was quite clear that even from a young age, the boys didn’t get on. Kurt liked films with either meaning or rom-coms, Henry liked horror. Kurt wanted to wear suits for proper occasions, where his brother would get in a mood because he wasn’t allowed to be in jeans and a t-shirt. Unlike his brother, Kurt had no interest in sport, girls (or boys at that point in time) or hobbies such as fishing or crafts. He was quite an isolated child whom only enjoyed watching old black and white movies with his mother; where he bonded with her, he failed to do so with the other males in the family.
• High school- His brother was the jock and Kurt was the drama kid… He wasn’t even interested in acting as such the knowledge that he could be famous hadn’t really kicked in, but more about becoming someone else. When he got to pretend to be Mr Darcy (whom to this day he ‘steals’ personality traits from) he wasn’t little Kurt Brown who always falls behind his older brothers shadow. He passed with fairly average grades, a step up from his failed brother who quickly joined the RAF. However with a little more enthusiasm he could have done better instead of achieving one A (drama) and the rest being C’s.
• College- Kurt wasn’t prepared to really work, there wasn’t anything which he was interested in and the army was a serious no, no. He didn’t want to become a pencil pusher like his father and as much as he loved spending time his mother, arranging flowers wasn’t his calling. He signed up for Media studies at College and passed with flying colours after choosing a ‘film’ project which he wrote and starred in.
• Moving- Once he had passed college, Kurt was interested in seeing the world… Never had he flown in his life and America had always appealed to him. Spending his national savings bonds on a ticket and cheap apartment, Kurt moved as quickly as possible.
• Work- Unfortunately for him, his money did run out… It didn’t help since he had such an expensive taste in clothes either. He had to settle for a job at a grocery store much to his disliking. However he did meet his future friend Ted Burnick whom was an aspiring film maker.
• The accident- His whole family had a reunion back in England, Kurt took a plane over there to join them in the Lake District where his brother brought one of his smallest planes to fly around the mountain tops. As long standing rivals in the family, placing the two young men in the same plane together wasn’t the best idea and in a heated argument, whilst everything remained unphysical, his brother was distracted.
The plane crashed into Conastan waters, a particularly deep body of water. Kurt made it out alive, Henry did not. Since then, not only has his family become quite a touchy subject which he’d rather never bring up but he’s always gained a distinct fear of flying and a strong dis-like of water.
• The Project- Kurt attended a counselling course at a rehabilitation centre after the death of his brother, upon his return to America he was out of work. However his old friend Ted was willing to give him a VERY small amount of money to act in an independent film about a young drug addict, a small time drama with comedic aspects, he lost 60 pounds for the role and realise he was prepared to take it seriously. Kurt took the job, not expecting anything to come of it… But the movie was nominated for an award after being specially screened in a few select cinemas. Much to his surprise, Kurts name was suddenly on the market. It was a small name, but it was there all the same. However by the end of the movie he realised that acting was something he could make a career out of and that after spending a considerable amount of time with Burnick, women were not all he was interested in.
• Burnick- His relationship with Ted Burnick, like most was fairly short lived. Ted was ten years his senior and the differences in personalities turned out that not even the pairs flair for the creative arts was going to keep them together. They went their separate ways, Burnick to indie film making and Kurt to more mainstream motion pictures.
• Acting- It was clear to Kurt that there was nothing else but acting which was going to drive him to succeed in. Pursuing the career was a sensible choice, much to his mothers worry and his fathers dis-like. But he’s set on becoming a big star and as far as he can see, there isn’t anything which can’t over come.

Shifting back and forth on his feet a little, Marcus needed to learn to turn down the inane chatter sometimes… He’d lost himself in the transition between a simple introduction to making him out as a pure fool.
He played with the cuffs of his shirt, they’d grown a little frayed over time but he’d always believed it added character. So it may be a little scruffy, at least it was clean.
Though he couldn’t have been looking particularly great with a tacky piece of tissue paper round his hand either.
Why was he worrying about how he looked though?
He never did, even with people he was attracted to…
“My mom tells me there’s an art to conversation which I will never master” He spoke, trying to escape the doubled amount of jibber jabber which ran through his head than out his actual mouth “though I hear you on the er, laziness front… Though I’ll admit it’s generally everything but talking that I’m lazy about.” Marcus gave a weak smile and a slight chuckle before licking his lips and going straight faced again.
He furrowed his brow as Parkers confusion… He was hoping he had made that one obvious, being subtle wasn’t something he did very well, but even still the fact that Parker didn’t understand if first time around meant Marcus could have probably saved himself a bunch of hassle if he had only kept his mouth shut.
Letting out a sigh of relief when it finally clicked for the boy, he was suddenly over come with a rush of panic again, if Parker didn’t take it well then this conversation was a waste of time and Marcus would have just ended up being an idiot. Again.
But to Marcus’s surprise… He didn’t take it badly “It’s ok… I was just rambling anyway. Like I said, it wasn’t intentional for it to ya know, come out that way.”
It wasn’t intentional.
Was it?
Marcus didn’t really think about it, he was fairly sure that he was just talking but now maybe if he had been a calmer he would have meant it. Tilting his head to the side as Parker spoke, he began to realise that he was one of those guys which were easy to look over until you actually talked to them.
Jolting a bit when he realised it was his turn to answer the questions he ruffled his hair with one hand, raising an eyebrow “Erm.. Well, I suppose Marcus is a dry name if you look at it that way, but mostly it’s just because Welsh sounds a bit like squelch. It just reminds me of a fat version of Scotty from Star Trek. Not that I’m like a mega fan or anything.”
Clearing his throat he tried to re-gain any dignity he had just shredded to pieces “I just think it’s a good last name, name… Not a first.”
