He's the type to just throw himself out there and doesn't really care what others think about him. All he cares about is having fun and enjoying himself. He will probably be the first to try something totally crazy and outrageous and others will follow in his wake. He is not a party addict or an addict of any kind, he just loves to have fun. He's a riot to have on the set of anything really and is just bursting with life and energy. He's the kind of person that people gravitate toward because he seems to be shining so bright. SPONTANEOUS Hah! To say Griffin is spontaneous pretty much wraps up everything that is him. He defintely keep you on your toes because you never really know what he will do at any point of knowing him. People that have known him for his whole life still never know what he will do next. He is a firecracker just ready to explode at any given point. But not in a bad way of course. More like a giant random fireworks show that makes you just watch in awe. CREATIVE Coming from a writing background Griffin is a very creative guy. He will look at something say a macaroni noodle and see the beauty in it and can let others see the beauty in it as well. From his writing standpoint Griffin is that writer that you just want to hate because he's ruining all your pairings in a show. He is the writer that you want to cry because of his beautiful words. He is also the writer that you will laugh with because of his wit, you will want to bawl your eyes out because he's made you feel something that not many writers can do. He can do that while he's acting as well. He really sees the whole picture when he's acting and that draws people in and lets you see what this whole thing is really about. LOVEABLE God is Griffin lovable. And he doesn't do it on purpose either. He doesn't try and make himself something that he isn't. But Griffin has a way to just make everything he does so adorable. The way he arches his eye brow when he's contemplating something. The way he sticks out his tounge when he's concentrating on his new script. He just the kind of person that girls go nuts over and he doesn't even notice what he's doing which makes it even more cute. He's oblivious about things like that but that's what makes Griffin, Griffin. GOOD WITH OTHERS Griffin has a knack for understanding others and what they mean by certain things. He is really good at talking with others and making them feel better. He doesn't do it for money or for fame he does it because he cares about people in a truly genuine way. He can make people laugh when they are sad. He can make them excited about something that they are nervous about. He is just a guy that people go to when they are feeling down in the dumps and need cheering up. WEAKNESSES SOMETIMES GOES INTO HIS OWN BUBBLE Being so creative Griffin sometimes goes into his own little world when he's writing or trying to figure something out. Not much can drag him out of his own mind when he is in the state. He doesn't come out until he is finished with what he has been trying to acomplish. And sometimes that takes a while which can sometimes make others mad because he's not out partying or being spontaneous. But when he gets a brainstrom he always has to go with his gut and write what he's got an idea for and not stop until it's finished. BAD TEMPER IF PROVOKED Griffin can get a really bad temper if you make him mad. Which fortunately doesn't happen very often. The only thing that makes him mad is when you pick on someone that is obviously weaker than you or if you try and mess with him when he's trying to write. He will look you straight in the eyes, almost like he's looking into your soul. He will go very quiet which is something that only happens when he's angry and he will speak to you in that scary calm voice that I personally think is worse than if he's yelling at you. He will tell you to go away or if you're picking on someone he will probably forcefully drag you away. DOES HIS OWN THING Griffin can be a pretty independent guy. He doesn't need to surround himself with other people to feel like he is living his life. He does not go with the flow at all. He is more of a take chances kind of guy and goes against the status quo. He doesn't like following the crowd and instead does his own thing when he wants to do it. And often times that can mean he shuts out other people. You never know what he's going to do next to he always keeps people on their toes. But like I said before, he does not feel like he is obligated to follow rules or do what every one else is doing at all. HEADSTRONG Going along with doing his own thing, griffin is very much headstrong. He doesn't like backing down nor does he like letting others win. He will do what he wants whenever he wants it and that's just the way he works. He can be quite a handful on a set or in the drawing room if he is a writer for something. He always wants his opinion to be heard and won't rest until it is. Is this a bad thing? We in some people, no, but in Griffin, yes. He doesn't take orders well and will shut down if someone tries to force him to do something. He is his own person and doesn't really work well in group situations, especially if there is another bright personality working along side him. COMPETITIVE Griffin never quits. He never gives up and he certaintly will never allow someone to win at something if he knows he can beat them. He is an extremely competitive guy and doesn't back down at anything. Often time he will take things a little too far and someone can get hurt but he doesn't mean to. That is when he realizes that "hey, I had better back down", otherwise he will continue to fight for something. Be it a board game, a foot race, or just to see how many gummy worms you can stick in your mouth at one time. Griffin Newark does not like losing and hates it even more if the person he lost against gloats. He on the other hand, does not gloat when he wins, at least most of the time. SKILLS Since Griffin started out in the background of the industry with his writing skills he had always had an affinity for those making it happen in the back room. He still has a go at writing when he gets the inspiration. But now he mostly acts and boy can he act. Being on Dr. Who has given him a way to express himself in ways that most shows could never do. Besides acting and writing Griffin can also tap dance much to his dismay. He doesn't like to show it off very much. He learned when he was a little boy and his mom forced him to learn with his younger sister because she didn't his sister all alone. He can also ride a unicycle, juggle, and somewhat walk on a tightrope. All part of his circus training he did just for fun one year with a bunch of his friends. He also likes to run to exercise and that is about the only thing he will do to stay in shape. EXPERIENCE Griffin started out in the enterainment industry as a writer. He had gone to the university to get a degree in playwright as well as a degree in creative writing. He did theater for a while, writing scripts and sometimes taking parts in his plays. People always said he had a real knack for the stage but he preferred at that time to stay in the background. But something changed his mind. In 2005 the cult hit, Dr. Who started back up. It had ended a few years before in the nineties but was revived. After the first season, that actor playing the Doctor did not want to continue so there was a casting call for someone to play the new Doctor. With his friends urging him to audition he did without thinking that he would get any sort of part. Yet lo and behold, he landed the role as the 10th doctor and perhaps the most favorite doctor so far. He stayed on for three seasons before letting the next actor take over as the new doctor. While he was filming he did write a few of the episodes, usually the more emotional and mind-boggling of them all. He liked to keep the world audience in suspense. He in fact wrote the last episode that the 10th Doctor would ever be in. It was a bittersweet moment for him. While filming Dr Who he also did a few roles in movies such as Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire as the minor villian Barty Crouch Jr. As of now he has moved to New York to take his hand in the American side of film and TV acting. He's also dying to write something for a movie or show. He's not sure if he will continue to act or turn more towards the acting side of the business. |
