loves.
- Cherries and pears. Pears just taste good and she likes that cherries leave your face and fingers red.
- Ballet. So, the Netherlands aren't notorious at all for ballet, but she grew up on a very strict schedule of ballet as a kid, and it was her one extra curricular activity.
- Animals. Yes, she does enjoy small housepets and the like, but Lina really favors the sort of animals that you wouldn't find in someone's home; pine martin, pilot wales, devil fish, belugas, arctic wolves- you get the gist.
- Reggae music. Where she grew up, not many people listened to it and it wasn't a common thing to hear, but she found out about it upon moving to the US when she was a little younger, and enjoys it.
- Cold weather. She's accustomed to the cold, and temperatures below 70 degrees. Her fair skin isn't really suited to handle bright sunlight without a massive amount of sunscreen.
- Greenwhich Village. It's nothing like Enschede or the dutch countryside, but that might be why she likes it so much.
- Wood floors. Hearing them creak is almost therapeautic to her.
hates.
- Staying in one place. It's a great fault of Lina's, but she has great trouble just staying stationary. She likes to move around, rather then be a mockery of a statue.
- Sparkly things. It's not that she's opposed to them, they just bother her eyes.
- The smell of wine. The muskiness of it sort of bothers her, and it makes her think of like...moldy basements.
- Muggy weather. Like, humidity just bothers her. The pressing heat sort of makes her feel like she's in a dryer or something; she's more accustomed to chilly temperatures and climates.
- Cabbage and Lettuce. As a child, her mom always would cook them and after eating them consecutively as her only source of vegetables for years, she's sick of them.
- Little kids. Not that she hates them, so to speak, but she is horrible with them, and really just doesn't know how to interact with them, and doesn't have much interest in doing so.
- Most hard liquors. She's no stranger to..well, a small sip of beer, but Lina isn't that heavy of a drinker at all.
- Her height. Shooting up to be 5'10 at the age of 11 can take a bit of a toll on you, but she's let it grow on her a little more.
quirks.
- She collects old radios and fishing hooks. If you go into her apartment, you'll find that she hangs them up on hooks that she sticks onto her wall. Alot of them come from dumpster diving.
- She never throws out her pointe shoes. Ever. This is saying alot, being that she can go through one pair in about three or less weeks.
- She doesn't like wearing shoes.
- She can only take cold showers.
- Iekeline will always stare you in the eye when talking to you. Her eyes don't flutter around or even roll- they will always be fixated.
aspirations.
- To keep moving, to not have to settle in one place, or at least, make enough money so she doesn't have to settle.
- To actually, you know, get a role in a movie? She'll aim higher if that ends up happening.
secrets.
- She developed anorexia nervosa during her first three years living in the States.
- She's a virgin, thank you very much.
personality evaluated. It would be a huge overstatement to call Lina a warm hearted, friendly person. This isn't to say that she was born with a heart of steel, but she isn't one to approach you if (you're a stranger) she sees you alone, looking evidently down. Her heart just isn't into that sort of thing. She is a nice girl, yes, with good intentions, but overall, a slightly chilly person. The aura that she projects is, at times, a bit on the mysterious side, and a bit chilling and eerie at times. Perhaps, when you combine her personal signature- her stare- and the lack of talking that she does, this is just the outcome that you will get. Lina is aware of this, mind you, and doesn't really see a need to change the way she acts- nobody has complained before, and if they did, their concerns wouldn't be taken into affect unless they were truly genuine.
Aside from her usual nature, there are other sides to Iekeline; she does have, what many would label, as a sort of 'mad genius' trait. It's that one look in her eyes that you don't see all that often- something that reveals deep layers of wit and intelligence, yet is sligthly crazed at the same time. This crazed look can be related to a vast number of quirks and traits that lie within her personality. For one, she's a very adventurous young lady, and has a hard time setting boundaries for herself. Not to say that she doesn't have willpower or self-control, no, she does, it's just that sometimes she doesn't understand how...out-there she may act at times. And when we mean adventurous, we don't just mean in the sense of the party scene and nightlife and whatnot- we mean in all aspects of her life. The girl is a true risk-taker, through and through.
Iekeline is also a roaring spitfire herself, aside from her risktaking trait. While she is a quiet girl, she has some very fierce opinions- she just knows when to keep them quiet. Although, this little spitfire trait isn't always positive; sometimes, what she says and when she says it can offend people- though, her intentions, if she does say something, usually are to do so.

history evaluated.Born to a stationary family, it's hard to see why Iekeline has such a difficult time staying in one place. Eschende in the Netherlands was, and is, a industrial place, based around alot of textile factories, of which her father works in. She wasn't exactly fond of her town, but she knew only the Netherlands- no other place had she ever traveled to. And in the Netherlands, there were only two places she knew; Eschende, being one, and Volendam being two. Every summer since her birth - and often for weeks at a time- Iekeline would pack up a backpack and visit her aunt and uncle in Volendam, a small fishing village, located right on the coast, in front of Edam.
That was the one place she truly felt "at home".
It was not nearly as industrial as Eschende; it was more open, more freeing, more liberating; just what Iekeline wanted, even as a young child. Often times, she would be sailing, or just by the docks, or sitting around in the grass, just doing whatever she pleased. Volendam was the one place that she felt like herself. It was also the place where her career got started. Up until that point, Iekeline was a strict dancer. A ballet dancer, at that, training in the Vaganova style, and taking lessons six days a week; she did her best to continue them during her times at Volendam, as well, taking classes at a small studio there, too. During a recital when she was fourteen, a mother there thought of the potential the young girl had for modelling; tall stature, waif-like ballet dancer's body, very slender- she had the physical goods down. Upon approaching Iekeline, things got rolling rather quickly, and she was soon signed to Ulla Models, from there, things progressed quickly. She did some small advertisements for local little boutiques and the like, but took breaks, as she was more interested in pursuing ballet, along with studying and traveling.
Now, modelling and acting - they were both out of the blue, and where she lived...it wasn't really the best place to form a career. For Iekeline, however, her agency knew this, and thought it best to send her overseas to New York City, where she stayed for a matter of months, booking a few campaigns and an editorial for American Vogue. Her career took off then, but it was through modelling that she discovered acting. You see, alot of the times when she booked commercial advertisements, it would actually require her to do some small commercials that ran on TV- through there, she became interested in acting, but not on television- on film. That brings us up to this point, and she now lives in a small apartement in the city, hoping to make more of a name for herself.

roleplay sample.Raina had a routine. Jump out of bed, get ready, head to classes, and spend all spare time at the Arena. Its not that she particularly enjoyed training. In fact, it really wasn't her forte. What she wanted though, was fame. The best outlet to some sort of recognition as a demigod was the path of a hero, despite the normally painful ends. She raised a hand to shield her eyes from the sun, but swatted it away. Curse Apollo.
When she reached the arena, Raina had to navigate around the groups of serving partners, individual trainers and beginners who were showing great difficulty in wielding a sword. She sneered and maneuvered around them. It didn't take much effort for her to navigate through the Arena. Campers usually tended to keep their distance from Raina. Most campers just kept away from Hades kids, period. There really was no reason for them too. Not all Hades kids were dark and depressing and only conversed about becoming a Mortician.
She twirled her sword, letting out an annoyed sigh. Should she move over and challenge someone to spar, or should she tackle a dummy. Sparring kept you away and prepared you better for a real fight, but nobody here seemed willing to fight with Raina. She moved over to the obligatory dummy. Raising her sword, she swiftly moved it across the dummy in one motion, slicing it in half on a diagonal. She kicked the ruined dummy aside and move on to the next one.
To her dismay, this dummy was already dismembered. Its limbs were strewn across the floor; a messy mixture of bronze, hay and burlap sacks. She looked around, trying to find a dummy that hadn't been touched yet. It was no use- every single dummy in the Arena had been used. She turned- an annoyed expression written all over her face- to the boys who were performing the task of refilling all the dead dummies. They were running around frantically, trying to get as many up as possible.
"Hey...Where'd all the dummies go?", she shouted angrily, looking around the Arena for the culprit. Instead, she picked up on the cheers of a girl maybe a bit older than herself. Whoever she was cheering on must have been the one who trashed all the dummies. Literally, he was fighting like a maniac, but than he paused to shout at the boys who assembling the dummies.
"Hey- are you the kid whose massacring all the dummies?", she hissed, approaching the boy. She crossed her arms and looked at him dead in the eye, annoyance written all over her face. Maybe she should have been intimidated, staring at someone who most likely had fifty pounds and a foot of muscle on her, but no. Raina was just one tough cookie.
The boy wasn't an Ares- he didn't have that permanent scowl on his face, nor was he foaming at the mouth. Her eyes glanced over to an Ares kid who was angrily beating the crap out of a dummy- she could have sworn he had rabies or some other parasite. Turning her attention back to the boy, she also tell he wasn't an Aphrodite. Aphrodite's kids never fought, so nor was he an Apollo. Probably not a minor god child, either. Hephaestus, maybe, but he wasn't hideous enough.
She scratched her head and sheathed her sword, looking over at the other girl. She couldn't help but begin to laugh. The girl was holding up a dummies head with someone signature on it, and she looked like a complete fool. Binoculars, dazed expression, ten-watt smile... again, she couldn't help but laugh. "Looks like you have an admirer", she managed to get out, taking gulps of air to support her laughter.
