aspirations. "win a hot dog eating contest, that's my main goal right now. only, it's not. i don't really know. i hate these sort of questions, it seems like the only one out there right now. a lot of people expect me to grow up, get out of the acting business and become a journalist because that's what my mom was, and i suppose i'm alright at writing. i'm not sure though, if i choose that path it just seems like i'm taking the easy way out of things, and to be honest, i'm not sure if i'm completely passionate about it. five years from now i see myself in the same lost situation, answering the same frigging question."
secrets. " i don't keep secrets, it's a stupid habit really. i mean, i guess i've with held the truth from people to prevent hurting them or only told them half the story, but that doesn't really apply to personal screts, i supposed. although, for the most part i try not to keep secrets from people. if i think of one, i'll remember to tell you. "
personality evaluated. laid-back and easygoing; dahlia has always been quick to make friends. she has a hard time opening up though, and when it comes to spilling her secrets, she can be a tiny bit cold and standoffish. you could say that she has many layers to go through before she trusts you completely. once you lose her trust, it is very hard to get it back. if she's angry or displeased with you, she can be extremely cold-- and you don't want that, because it's pure hell. she is quite forgiving though, but don't expect things to be the way they used to be. she's very witty and flirtatious, and a pretty big tease-- she gets joy out of that. she is pretty loyal to her friends or boyfriend. dahlia regrets things pretty easily and regrets almost any mistake she makes. the girl has a rather large phobia of screwing up.
her heart is made of gold; when she loves you, she will do anything for you. dahlia used to be pretty weak-minded; but she has toughened up and now she won't take nuts from anyone. running her over simply won't happen. she has learned that she comes first and foremost. dahlia adores children, so you could say that she's the maternal sort. when a friend is sick, she's there to take care of them, and when you're suffering from heartbreak, she invites you to stay with her for a bit. she's outgoing and outspoken, although she does get shy around very few boys; most of the time she's a huge tease.
dahlia has some faults as well; she has a quick temper-- and can very easily succumb to peer pressure. she can be a bit hesitant because, as stated before, she hates screwing up and making mistakes. when she does make a mistake dahlia pretty much falls apart and will do something stupid like get drunk. she forgives but does not forget, and will use these grudges against you if you should happen to piss her off. she gets embarrassed very easily-- it's not hard to make her cheeks blush-- which could be counted as a fault or not.

history evaluated.
the moment that santiago lissón met thalia de santos was a fateful one. he was a snarky, promising young writer, celebrating the publication of his latest book, and she was a passionate, dedicated young journalist. they were both in the living room of the lissón estate in lisbon, during a party being hosted by santiago's parents. upon laying eyes on thalia, santiago decided he wanted her and from there on out it was one of those fun turbulent stories of romance. they disagreed on almost everything and fought almost constantly and publicly denounced any affection for each other. and yet, a year later they were engaged. the wedding followed six months later and, not two months later, so did a positive pregnancy test. initially, thalia had wanted an abortion. she didn't feel ready for children. she wanted to focus on her career. she hadn't ever wanted to be a mother while still in her twenties. but santiago talked her out of it. mind you, it took about a solid month of arguments and indecisiveness, but he managed it and felt quite accomplished about it, because he knew his wife and that once she made her mind, it was damn near impossible to change it. approximately six months later, on may 9th, 1985, thalia gave birth to identical twin boys, whom she named kason celio and emile daniel lissón.
for two years the family of four was happy as can be. santiago's book became a worldwide hit with many copies being sold in different languages. more money poured into the family as thalia's journalism career blossomed when one of her pieces was published on a vogue magazine. everyone wanted to get a piece of her after that. the lissón family was one of the most promising, and young, families in portugal. with the whirlwind of santiago and thalia's jobs and tours the family became hectic. so much that time was limited between the four. the twins stayed with santiago's mom while they went off to do the tours around the continent. after two years of this, santiago and thalia got tired of being away from their kids so they decided to spend the next couple of years away from the limelight and more with family and friends. this break came at the perfect time, thalia was pregnant.
it was no surprise that the parents were ecstatic to bring a new baby into the family. they were even giddier to find out that the little baby was going to be a girl. of course, the pregnancy went along great and everyone was healthy up until the birth of the green bright eyed baby girl. at first, the twins were wary of the new baby at home but they warmed up to the idea of having another play partner. it was no surprise that the parents were ecstatic to bring a new baby into the family. they were even giddier to find out that the little baby was going to be a girl. of course, the pregnancy went along great and everyone was healthy up until the birth of the green bright eyed baby girl. at first, the twins were wary of the new baby at home but they warmed up to the idea of having another play partner. dahlia had a fairly average babyhood and was a fairly average baby, though perhaps she was a bit louder than most. but that was completely normal considering she had two toddlers yelling along with her.
as a toddler, she was already really out-spoken, if you wanted to call her that, and knew what she wanted. it sounds hard to believe, but if something wasn’t done in the proper rich girl way, she would throw fits. if her teacher didn’t teach her and treat her right, guess what? fired, much? dahlia loved the power and realized she and her parents had it at this young age. her parents weren’t quite fond of the amount of teachers they were firing, but they had money and they could do it, so they did. and this made little dahlia happy. this phase in dahlia's life was short lived though. the minute her art teacher set colored pencils infront of her the little girl would not stop drawing. she drew and drew and drew. she couldn't get enough of it. she drew on everything, much to the warnings of her parents. this phase of her lived outlived any other. she would spent countless amount of hours drawing and drawing, nothing getting in her way.
dahlia recalls her early teenage years and stages of adolescence as a pretty happy time of her life. for a long time, her daily activities were organized by a routine set for her by her parents. she got up, had breakfast, did some lessons throughout which she had several breaks where she could get up and walk around to appease her antsy nature, had lunch, took a two hour long break during which she usually went for a lengthy run, went to art class, did another lesson or two, had some free time which she usually spent hanging out with friends or her brothers, ate dinner, and then time to do her homework or have some fun. it occasionally irritated her, not being able to do what she wanted when she wanted, like her brothers, but whenever she complained she was told that the structure was good for her. it was around this point that she entered the giggly world of dating and boys. her first couple of boyfriends hardly lasted long enough to even be counted as relationships because of dahlia having difficulty focusing on maintaining the relationship. it goes without saying that she got herself into a good few sticky situations when she had trouble even concentrating on just one boy at a time.
later into her junior year of high school, her family moved to the united states, san diego, california, to be exact, permanently. they basically thought it was what was best for the whole family, plus, santiago and thalia could earn a lot of money here and had the support of their old money, just in case. dahlia's brothers thought it was the best idea in the world and fit into the american lifestyle perfectly; kason going into the marines and emile going into the navy. it pained dahlia not seeing her brothers throughout her high school career but she made it through with the help of her parents. to be honest, dahlia's high school experience wasn't the best. being the foreign girl with a heavy accent isn't something she wanted to ever want to be. in her junior year, she made a couple of friends but none compared to the friends she had back at home. during her senior year was when she really blossomed into the out spoken, easygoing, and laid back girl she is today; she was voted most likely to succeed in the yearbook. she had a couple of boyfriends here and there but no long tern relationships came from them.
it wasn't until her second year of college when relationships took another route. that year she met jensen peter silva. although she held a strong love for art, dahlia loved stars and the whole concept of astronomy. one night while up at the planetarium owned by the school, she found a mysterious looking guy just staring off into space. obviously she wondered how he had gotten in since she was the only signed up for that night and time. curious as she has always been, the girl went up to him and wondered out loud who he was. after that day, dahlia saw jensen at the most random times; he was just everywhere. she wouldn't see him in any of her classes but she would see him at the dining hall every night, and at the library, and sometimes in the lobby of her co-ed dorm. after a while of this, she struck up a conversation with him, wanting to get to the bottom of his weird appearing tricks. this was where the whirlwind of a year started, with that one conversation a full relationship blossomed.
at first dahlia didn't want to risk anything by submitting herself into a relationship at the ripe age of twenty. but who was she kidding, her parents already had kason and emile at that age. jensen helped her make her decision of a relationship though; he genuinely wanted to be in a relationship and he let her know. fast forward another year and they were as strong as ever. in that one year, dahlia broke out into the film industry as an extra but later on got slightly bigger roles. all this while earning her bachelor's degree. she also helped jensen get his work done too.
though the couple had its ups and downs, they made it through 2 years of being together before jensen popped the question every girl wants to hear from their boyfriend. obviously dahlia said yes. a year has passed and both jensen and dahlia are off on their own in los angeles; dahlia starting up her career as an actress and just trying to get by.
