REBELLIOUS. growing up in new york city, aislinn loathed the nyc prep types, and wanted nothing more than to be opposite of them. she liked her public school, the tagging on the lockers, and the metal detectors screening every doorway. even in her school she was a rebel. she skipped class constantly, smoked weed, and dated all the wrong dudes. she enjoys doing everything anyone tells her not to do. although she respected her parents and tried to do what they said, she often found herself not listening to the words that came out of their mouths. in all honesty, she rarely listened to what anyone said, unless absolutely necessary. her school may have been gritty, but most of the kids were pretty straight-laced. she was always an outsider, anywhere she went. she tended to be alone or in a small group of similar teens. she's not the social butterfly that she sometimes portrays in movies or television, or the outgoing girl she plays in interviews. she enjoys her privacy but does secretly enjoy being in the center of attention, if just for a little bit.
STONER. marijuana, it is ash's vice. she got into it in high school, her freshman year to be exact, and she hasn't put it down since. it calms her down, puts her in a better mood, and allows her to eat like a monster. when she's not smoking she can get pretty irritable and crabby, often times snapping out at people just because they annoy the shit out of her. however, when she does smoke, she's relatively laid-back and she can get along with almost anyone if she's had her morning, afternoon, and evening toke session.
AWKWARD. a social outcast almost her whole life, she generally doesn't know how to interact with others. especially around boys, and even more around boys she thinks are attractive, she can sound like a bumbling idiot. she gets nervous fairly easily which she hates, so she tends to shy away from large social gatherings. she can also be embarrassed easily and blushes simply from thoughts that might go through her head. despite being so weird around guys, she loves the idea of relationships and longs for that tall, dark, and handsome fellow to come and sweep her off of her feet.
STREET SMART. loving the city, ash had to learn how to take care of herself or she wouldn't have lasted as long as she has. she also had to learn how to be protective of herself so people didn't take advantage of her. because of her self-training, she doesn't trust people as easily as someone else might. she needs someone to prove themselves before allowing them into her life. she also has walls up, giving her a very nonchalant and indifferent facade. she acts like she doesn't care so people can't use her emotions to their likings.

history evaluated. born to an almost famous advertising executive and a kindergarten teacher, aislinn kennedy monroe was the youngest of two children. her older brother wanted nothing to do with her, obviously. he wanted a little sister. but within the first few months, he adjusted quite nicely. he started helping to feed aislinn, play with her, and sing to her when she cried. he was her pseudo-nanny. however, the complete adoration she got from her older brother died off when they aged. throughout their lives, they always had the normal sibling love-hate relationship. they were always there for each other when they needed it, however they fought like a pair of pitbulls. it never came to violence, but at times they wouldn't speak to each other on days on end. they were polar opposites. he was the golden child, perfect in every way, and she was a punk. but despite their differences, she still looked up to her big brother, and he was protective of his little sister.
the only time aislinn's brother had ever gotten in trouble, it was actually her fault. in high school, she fell into the wrong crowd. started smoking weed, staying out late, and skipping class. during her shenanigans, she met a boy. his name was godric. he was exotic and, in her opinion, the most banging guy in the whole school. to make things worse, he actually liked her. they dated all through their third year of high school. they were attached at the hip and completely in love with each other... or so aislinn thought. after their one year, things shifted. he began getting possessive and angry. at first, ash just brushed it off, thinking he was just being jealous because he loved her. but it increasingly got worse. he didn't let her see her friends, and he barely let her out of his sight. and once, when he got her in a lie, he snapped. she had been standing her ground, fighting back for once, telling him what she felt. in the moment that his hand lifted, her jaw dropped, and when it struck her face, she screamed. time slowed as she gripped her face, completely shocked. and in that moment when he was apologizing as if he actually regretted hitting her, she jumped back onto her face and punched him square in the jaw. she went straight from his house to hers and spilled the beans to her big brother, who wasted no time in driving straight over to godric's house and unleashed every last bit of anger he had in his body onto his little sister's boyfriend's face.
after that terrifying day, ash tended to stay away from boys, and her parents insisted she focus whatever issues she had into something productive. just to please them and get them off of her back, she turned to acting. she had done it previously when she was a child, but had never even considered it as an acceptable hobby. however, when she came back to it as a senior in high school, she fell in love all over again. it allowed her to escape, to play someone she might never be able to be. it even gave her romance from a safe distance. before she had found solace in her books and weed, but now she found them in scripts and screen tests... and still her weed.
