history evaluated.
one sunny day in july, a hawaiian boy fell in love with an all-american girl. they met at the beach and it was love at first sight, so they say. with her parents disapproval, she was not allowed to marry him. regardless, she still saw her lover, even if her parents told her not to. unfortunately, her parents found out and decided to pack up and leave texas for the golden coast, california. on their last night together, they conceived melrose; only to never see each other again.
six pounds, eight ounces, blonde curly hair and big, beautiful blue eyes. melrose joselyn akina was brought into this world on january eleventh, nineteeen eighty-eight in beautiful dillon beach, california. mostly every feature on her face belonged to her mother, but her smile was an exact replica of her father's. that was the moment she decided to put her father's last name on the birth certificate. so she had some part of him always with her. melrose had iron lungs, never stopped crying for hours after she was born. and even though she was a very rowdy baby, her mother knew she was destined for great things.
after melrose's outbursts as a newborn, she grew to be a very quiet, distant girl. never would she speak to anyone other than her mother. always scared of people's judgments, she often shied away from everyone. it was a self-defense mechanism, saving herself from emotional pain. she never handled rejection quite well, so she always thought never putting yourself in the position to get rejected was the best way to avoid it. it was rare when you would get a giggle, or even a smile out of melrose. she was a closed-- better yet, locked--book. the only person who got a conversation out of melrose was her mother, and she found her to be a very intelligent girl. she always tried to get her daughter to speak out, share her creative ways with other people. even though melrose refused, her mother never stopped trying. it was a constant game of tug-of-war. until one day, her mother finally won.
it was melrose's senior year, she got a call from the guidance consuelor saying she was her senior class's valedictorian. she had two weeks to come up with a speech to tell at her graduation. shocked, and terrified at the same time, immediately she tried to convince her mother to get out of it. she refused. not wanting to look like a coward, melrose wrote the speech and presented it at her graduation. she got a standing ovation and thats when she knew she didn't want be cautious and reserved anymore. she wanted her voice to be heard.
right after she graduated high school, melrose moved out of the small town of dillon beach to bustling los angeles where her mother introduced her to james, an aspiring film star. at first, she wouldn't give him to time of day. he never gave up, though. with persistence, he finally got melrose to agree to go out on a date. from there, they fell madly in love. after three years of dating, james proposed. melrose agreed immediately and they planned to have their wedding on her birthday in hawaii, her father's homeland. later that year, while driving to an audition, he was hit head-on by a drunk driver. killed immediately, melrose was devastated. it took her two years to get out of a deep depression. when she did, she vowed to live her life fully. she believes it's what james would have wanted.
melrose was always james' supporter in the acting world. she would give him anything he needed as in running errands for him or helping him practice a particular scene. after he passed, melrose didn't want to give it up. she loved working behind the camera, so her close friend--who happened to be an agent-- provided her the job of a personal assistant to his client.

roleplay sample. The rain poured down on Liam's head which made him feel a little better. It felt like all his troubles were getting washed away, he felt cleansed. His hands were shoved into his jean pocket, hunched over a little as he walked down the concrete pathway. He titled his head back and stared at the gray monochromatic sky. Thousands of tiny rain droplets running down his face, down to his neck, sticking his shirt to his torso.
"You don't have to be angry around me, you know, Liam." Nicole said quietly. She giggled before continuing her statement. "You can tell me why you're angry, I can make it all better for you, make it all go away."
Liam finally sat down at the end of pier. He looked out to the blue, crystal clear water surrounding him and watched the ripples of waves roll up to the wooden posts below him. Crashing and traveling back out to sea again. That's when he realized Nicole was still following him. "I'm trying to be alone. You don't have to walk with me." Liam said, his gaze still fixed on the water.
Still she sat down beside him. She lifted her hand and ran her fingers through his black hair which was soaking wet. Nicole brushed a strand of hair out of his face and this caused Liam to take a brief glance at her.
She was certainly beautiful. Blonde hair, ocean blue eyes, and her height... She was taller than Daphne; almost a model height. That definitely was attractive.
"I understand why you would be angry at Daphne," Her fingers still ran through Liam's hair. "She's ... always been insecure. Since a teenager, she kept scaring her boyfriends away - always accusing them of doing something dirty behind her back, never trusting them enough to let them breathe on their own. She was ... always there. Constantly on their back, or constantly accusing them. I've seen it all before, so I understand why you'd be angry."
"I didn't know," he muttered quietly. "Give her time to calm down, and give yourself time to calm down." Nicole sighed gently.
"Because being angry wont do anything to help either of you," She stopped running her fingers through his hair only to take his hand. "You can talk to me if you want, I'm not going to be scared away if you decide you want to tell me anything serious or depressing. They say confession is good for the soul," she giggled, winking.
"Thanks." He said quietly again. "She was really upset back there, and I could understand some of it. I understand if your attracted to me, but there really wasn't a need to say all those," Liam cleared his throat. "Things." He removed his hand from Nicole's hand.
"I'm a one woman kind of guy."
