Alex is a very simple person yet a complex individual as well. He considers himself as a loyal person and looks for his friends loyalty within them, whether their distant or close. Though, Alex is a very quiet and reserved person. He's really shy when he meets new people, but once you get to know him that well you'll find him really talkative and hilarious. He loves to make his friends laugh and smile, even doing pranks! Yes, he does get in trouble afterwards but that is what the fun is all about, isn't it? Living life to the fullest. Not only that but he's musically, athletic, acting-wise talented. He found his passion for acting in a young age, along with sports.
Of course with all positive traits come with negative ones. Sometimes, when he's over confident he can sound a little bit cocky and conceited without him even realizing. He tries to avoid it but sometimes, he blurts things out, whether it's secrets or show spoilers. It's always an accident. His worst traits? Easy answer; being stubborn. He will always, always defend his point/friends until the world ends. He will not back down, even when he's wrong or he knows he's incorrect. He does keep it calm and cool though.
Generally, Alex is a very laid back guy. He has tons of random habits due to his ADHD, such as being hyper in random times and saying something that he shouldn't have. He would forget about it the next day. You're most likely to catch him filming with his friends (considering he'd like to direct a movie one day) and show it in his film class in NYU. The things he fear isn't easily shown, as I said before, Alex is a very complicated individual as well. He's afraid of getting rejected of his father, he never really met him, but he tried to know him as much as he could. Despite that, he tries to be very optimistic and positive when the situation is being brought up.

caroline burke became romantically involved with thomas quinine at a college party. it was one off those relationships that never seemed to happen, in other words; a one night stand. i guess you could say that alex was a surprise baby. no one would expect that he was coming, caroline only found out four months after the event. the couple didn't stay in contact at all but soon after, caroline gave birth to a baby boy, alexander owen burke.
alex's childhood was one of the happiest moments of his life. he stole everyone's hearts in a young age, he always had been a little playful charmer and a joker. he's one of the little boys that would go over the girls and flirt with them, without even realizing. their mothers would coo over them and joke about it, but he didn't really know what it meant by then. nothing much happened, other then his mother marrying david. that was a big part of his mother's life but not his. nothing really exciting happens, until he enrolled to school and his little sister was born. once he entered the first grade, alex was ecstatic. he couldn't wait until the lessons started and getting to learn new things. all he wanted to do is succeed in his life and make his parents proud more than anything else.
when he was fifteen, he became a much better person, at least he thought so anyways. his school grades was great, he took part in every school activity and he found his love for acting. it all started in drama class, when they were asked to do romeo & juliet. his hand raised up faster than you can blink, wanting the role of romeo straight away. sure, it was going to embarrass him because no one in his class would take the role but he didn't really care. he loved to act and found a passion for it in an early age, hoping to pursue an acting career after he graduates. of course he told his mother about this and he was grateful that she supported him fully. he improved after taking those lessons and workshops.
on a rainy october night, his mother, caroline freaked out. that was the day that she found out that thomas was an actor. the following day, his mother had told him everything. how they first met, how it was just all a tiny little fling. alex was upset and shocked at first, the fact that his mother kept it all from him hurts him. but knowing about it became alex's best-kept secret, caroline begged him not to tell anyone about it until the day he meets thomas.
currently, alex is in his second year and is attending tisch school of the starts at NYU, though, his primary studio being the stella alder studio of acting. he's snatching up every opportunity he gets to try and make it big. this year, he's very determined to meet his father though he is afraid of tom's rejection. ladies and gentleman, i present you alexander "alex" owen burke.

roleplay sample.detention was horrible. she hated every single minute of it. the simple things she gets in trouble for? it's just stupid. it's not her fault that they caught her smoking gillyweed inside the gryffindor common room. it's unfair how some of her friends who were smoking it as well didn't get detention. why her? apparently to "teach her a lesson", um, what lesson is learned exactly? it's no use. no one can teach her anything, it's not a crime or anything. at least she didn't think so, there's nothing about no smoking gillyweed in the ministry of magic handbook that she saw in flourish & botts.
devon started her trek to the library, looking completely unrecognizable. of course no one would recognize her, normally, she'd be seen wearing a t-shirt and jeans but today she was wore a dress. it's quite unusual for her but she ignored it. she clutched onto her textbook and notebook, glancing at the people who were starring at her. was it really that weird for her to wear a dress!? it's not like she had tons of makeup on. not even her best friends recognized her today, people just amazed her in every way they can.
she entered the library and glanced around, no one she knew was here. just a few first and third years. she found a seat at the back and put both her textbooks and notebooks on the table. she pulled the chair and took off the blazer, resting it on the chair afterwards. a groan escaped from her lips as she leaned back and opened her textbook, she was going to have to do a five page report for potions. the brunette hated schoolwork with burning passion. especially since they'd have n.e.w.t.s soon, it frustrated her, yet she was excited for it the same time.
everyone seemed to keep underestimating her. just because she parties a lot it doesn't mean she's stupid. a few third years just came whispering to each other when they saw the brunette doing her work. is it really that strange? no. it wasn't. apparently news travel fast in the school, no one can keep a secret these days, can they? the question is always unanswered. no one bothered to answer them.
devon continued to scribble words on her notebook and look back on her textbook for the past thirty minutes, that's her way of studying. she always made time for them. doing homework for three hours, revision for two, and everything else for the rest of the day. she's actually really focused on her studies, mainly because she really want to get out of hogwarts to find her actual parents. it's always something that she would think about. she wanted all her questions to be answered.
suddenly, a tall figure was standing in front of her. apparently he was talking to her. she snapped her head up and put her pencil down. "oh, hi, dan. i didn't see your things anywhere, sorry. eh, would you like to sit down?" she asked him, her eyebrows raised.
