personality evaluated. there's a few things that you have to know about marisol before you can really understand her. since we're talking about understanding, that's a personality trait that she has. she really rarely ever judges anyone, if they aren't messing with her. she doesn't think she could or should change anyone if they don't want to change, so it's better, to her, not to get all fussy over it. though if you get on her bad side, that is not a good thing. mari has a knack for wanting to get revenge. if you do anything to seriously hurt her or someone close to her, then she won't even think rationally. she'll want revenge, no matter what. she also has a bit of a bad temper. if you upset her, she will start saying things that you'd think she'd never say in a million years.
marisol is a calm, relaxed, and composed person. well, most of the time. there are times where she has random burst of energy, and will be this really hyper person. but for the most part, she's pretty chillaxed. mari is playful, if anything. she hates somber, and serious situations as much as the next person does. so she always tries to lighten up the mood up whenever she can. that also goes with awkward situations. she hates dealing with awkward situations, because.. it's awkward. so that is another time where she'll try and lighten up everything. by joking around and being appropriately playful. marisol is a very grateful person. she's thankful for living, and tries to live life casual and carefree. she doesn't like taking what she has for granted, because she knows that she has it better than a lot of people. of course, she does have her days where she's just like "ugh, why me?", but for the most part, she tries to keep in mind the fact that she could be far worst than she is. cordial, is another personality trait mari has. usually when you approach her, she's friendly and sincere. though there are times when she can become bitchy. but when that happens, it's usually for a reason. she has a reason for everything, even though it may not be what is expected or may just seem downright stupid. but she has a reason.
marisol is insecure. very, very insecure. insecure in her body, in the way that she dresses, in the way that she speaks, in the way she's coming off to others. she's very dependent on others to pull her up when she's feeling low, or just to be there for her. she wants to feel security a lot, from others. she's just not feeling that way about herself. don't get it wrong, though. she's not insecure to the point where she feels like she needs to have sex with every guy or girl, though. or she feels like she has to dress like this to get someone to like her. although she is conscious of those things, and knows those are some of the things that make her insecure, she not willing to change herself. especially if it's for the worst. and last, she's a bit cynical.

- marisol was born on december 24th, 1984, to her parents emilio cruz and isadora cruz (who were married at the time). she was the middle child out of three girls (though at this point it's only her and her older sister). she was born in puerto rico, in san juan. she actually lived there for a few years of her life. up to about 6 years. so she was pretty fluent in the spanish language.
- when she turned 7, her family packed up and left puerto rico. they moved to chicago, illinois. they were not the richest family, so they didn't live in the best neighborhood. but marisol still loved living there. she had a bunch of friends, and she was actually pretty popular with the kids.
- at the age of 8, she started picking up dancing. her mother was a choreographer at a youth center around chicago, and she wanted to be just like her mother. so she picked up dancing. her mom taught a lot of hip hop, so that came easily to her. she also learned how to salsa, and when she got older, she started branching off towards tango and ballet.
- at the age of 10, her little sister, carmelita, was born. that was also the year that she started up her acting career. her dad was an actor, too. not famous just yet, but he did a lot of broadway and commercials. she was a real drama queen at this age, too. so that also went along with acting.
- around the age of 11-14, she started seeing the world in a whole new light. everyone was dating and such, there were the popular kids, and where she was, everything was much more judgmental. during this time, it sort of touches up on the situation with her virginity. people were losing their virginity left and right, especially with where she lived. but she just couldn't give it up to anyone. no matter how many people tried. her mother once told her "niña, be careful, okay? there's diseases and pregnancy that can come to you if you decide to have sex. i can tell you not to have sex, but it doesn't mean you will listen to me. so just do your madre a favor, and stay protected." it sort of stuck her. she was also scared of the thought of having sex, and she felt that even if she tried, she couldn't give it up. to this day, she's still a virgin.
- when she was 15, one of the worst days of her life happened. she was on a vacation with her family, and she and her sisters decided to go to the beach. lucinda told marisol to watch carmelita while she went to the car to unload everything. even though she agreed to do so, she didn't really do what she said she would. she let the hyper, bubbly 5 year old wander around while she got distracted by a guy. they talked for ten minutes before she finally realized she forgot all about the 5 year old. she couldn't find her, and she told lucinda. when they went to find carmelita, they found her laying motionless and soaking wet on the sand. what happened was that the little girl ended up wandering over to the ocean, and a wave pulled her in. she couldn't swim, so she ended up drowning and passing away. it was a tough time for the whole entire family, and marisol never forgave herself for that day. the only thing she kept telling herself was that if she had only watched her sister, then that would've never happened.
- life flew by after the tragedy, though things weren't really the same anymore. her parents were growing distant, and her sister blamed her for the accident. so life at home wasn't the most pleasant. when she turned 16, they moved out to california because her family wanted to further pursue their careers. though when she turned 17, marisol began to realize some things. she began to relax that she possibly was into girls as well as guys. she had met a girl named lucy, who became her best friend. but as time progressed on, there was a relationship between them that stated that there more than a friend thing happening. so they got together. marisol was then sure that she was bisexual.
- marisol went off to college, where she majored in acting and minored in dancing. during the college years, about 2-3 years in, her and lucy split up after a really nasty argument. lucy was an important relationship to her, because she was the first girl she had ever been with. although it was sad, depressing, and broke her heart, she didn't let it affect her a lot. before college, though, she had landed a few important roles in tv shows and movies, though she still wasn't as popular. as for dancing, that was more of a fun class for her. she was really there just to show off and learn new techniques.
- when mari turned 25, she decided to acknowledge the accident that she avoided thinking about, which was her little sister's. although it serious pained her, it still helped her a bit. she got a tattoo of a butterfly with her little sister's name on the wing on the back of her neck, and a small keyhole on the middle of her chest (which you can see if she wears a v-neck).
- after getting that, she contacted her older sister, lucinda, who she hadn't spoken to in over 7 years. she found that lucinda eventually forgave her, and they were now close again. she also contacted her parents, who she hadn't spoken to in a few months. it made her feel better, to have her family back. she's now 26, and still currently resides in california. for the most part, she's doing mostly acting still. the most choreographing she's doing is for a youth center in california, like her mother once did.
