/ i want to voice this out loud[/b] girl, she can also be the sweetheart, girl next door attitude. she was born in long beach, california (and no, not the nice part) with a hearing impairment that wasn't fixed until she was eight, leaving her to attend schools where people knew no better and taunted her. this taunting set it's root deep in dar's heart - she promised herself she would never judge people the way others were quick to judge her. as we all know, that of course isn't true. it's built in humans to automatically judge people. however, this promise kept her from sticking to one group of friends, and opened her up to be friendly with everyone she met. this opened her eyes to a world of several different cliques - it was with the "nerds" whom helped her initially realize you can be smart and beautiful. her brother was a big part of the skaters, and she learned they weren't all just idiot pot heads. with the jocks? she found softball, her favorite sport.

personality evaluated.
rewinding a little to the loud and impulsive side of darsee, and you'll find she's one of the loudest people you know. while people would mainly judge it based on the fact she couldn't hear for practically all her childhood, her family and close friends would prove you wrong. indeed, when her hearing was repaired, she talked much louder than necessary because she was becoming accustomed to the new sounds - and it stuck. darsella is loud just to be loud, and it's a big part of her personality. ask one of her friends how they'd describe her in one word, and it would definitely be "loud." she hates silence, but she does know when it's necessary to be quiet.
get past all this instinctive behavior, and you'll find darsee's a particularly caring girl. while she loves to meet people and is friendlier than a playful pup, she only considers a few select people her "best friends", and those are literally her ride or die's. she'd do anything for those guys. however, if it's to get something she wants or needs, she's quick to be a charmer and usually will get her way by abusing the fact that she's so sweet herself. she'll buddy up to you, make you feel pretty valuable to her life, and once she has what she needs from you, she'll slowly disembody herself from the relationship and go on about her life. she would feel bad for it, had she not grown up in difficult circumstances.

history evaluated.
- darsee o'conner was born darsella lynn o'conner to a moderately low income family in long beach, california.
- darsee was born hearing impaired, a huge cost to her whole family. not only could they not afford the corrective ear surgery, but darsee was cost a loss of friends from pre-school to grade school. because of the hearing impairment, her speech was also delayed. because of this they had to move her to a speech class so that when her hearing was fixed, she could be up to speed with the other kids her age. her family pulled together and learned sign language to benefit darsella.
- danele o'conner is born into the family on the same day that darsella was, but darsee is now three years old. she's in pre-school, with a special aid who's helping the twoddler learn basic sign language (luckily covered by insurance.)
- age six now, and darsella is just entering elementary school. her kindergarten classmates are thrown off by her inability to hear and speak properly. her teacher, unwilling to try, has her removed and put into special education classes. her parents tried hard to fight it, but had to settle for the decision that she would be mainstreamed in third grade.
- darsee's seventh birthday, and danele's fourth birthday. her parents have been looking into corrective ear surgery, which the ADA has offered to cover for free as long as it's done in a children's hospital. this is darsee's only birthday present, plus a chocolate bar from her brother.
- all goes well with darsee's hearing surgery, and like promised, it's covered by the ADA. darsee begins to speak more clearly and is mainstreamed, as agreed, into "normal" classes.
- at age thirteen, darsee begins to see a change in her brother. he starts rebelling his freshman year of high school and is being kicked out of classes more frequently - with an already bad school, who's really to stop him?
- just entering high school at the ripe age of fifteen, darsee begins her expedition to know every clique she can in school, and becomes obsessed with the drama department kids. this is her outlet into the performing arts. her freshman year, she is casted as elphaba in the school's rendition of wicked.
- raeleigh o'conner loses her job as a nurse in the hospital, and the already poor family is cut back again. davin is eighteen, darsee is sixteen, and danele is thirteen.
- davin picks up a job - as a seller of weed for his friends. he becomes violent, with fights occurring nightly in the o'conner household. darby is consistently drunk, raeleigh is working two jobs as a house keeper and waitress and is barely home. it's up to the two girls - darsee and danele - to keep things right. davin confesses he mistakenly killed his best friend in a fight over a weed setup one day.
- trying to balance school, home, and her new role as maureen in the school's production of rent, things seem to be out of control at seventeen. coming home from school one day, darsee opens the door to ask her brother a question in his room, and just makes it as he pulls the trigger.
- things ultimately shift in the o'conner household. darsee only takes on supporting roles up until the senior play of Beauty and the Beast, where she's not only cast as Beauty, but wins the scholarship of a talent scout of UCLA.
- out of the house and living on her own, darsella's life begins to revolve around school and plays. she's diagnosed as clinically depressed at nineteen, but "surprisingly" it disappears when she drops out of college to pursue her acting career. she gets cast as a supporting role, the sister of the main character lila in an indie film "broken down" which won a sundance award.
- now with one movie out, darsee actually has an agent and is trying to line up more gigs.

Although Karysn loved her job (but of course, because who else likes pulling bodies out of car accidents or treating bloodied victims?), she just as much loved her days off of work. Usually, her shift as an EMT ranged from one day to about three full days on duty. That meant she usually was spending the night at the hospital or staying up keeping watch for her co-workers while they slept, since she rarely slept, and if she did it was only for a couple of hours. It wasn't necessarily a bad life - Karsyn was even allowed to bring her cocker spaniel, Sandy, along with her because she had no one else to watch the dog while she was on duty. However, Karsyn ended up missing her apartment through the times she was scheduled to work grave yard or twenty-four hour shifts. Karsyn usually tried to stay at home with her days off, but there were always exceptions - Sandy or herself had health appointments, she had to go workout, parties, or things just needed to get done. Today Karsyn had labelled "Errand" day, and was doing so efficiently, with her last errand on the list being to go grocery shopping, which is what put here where she was now - the local grocery store that most people in town seemed to always be at.
Karsyn wasn't an avid fan of this particular grocery store - for the most part, everything was packaged and had been processed so many times she wasn't even sure how people considered it food still. They had a decent "Organic" section, and their meat was usually fresh, which was good because if they hadn't, Kar probably would have ventured all the way out the city every week just for groceries, which was a waste of gas. With a tiny piece of paper in her hand, karsyn glanced over it, turning her cart expertly in the store as she reached for things on shelves and crossed whatever item that was out on her list. Today was a quiet day in the grocery store, meaning Karsyn didn't need to pay much attention to where she was going with the worry of running someone over. her mind was going through a million thoughts at once, combing over some things. Did Sandy have enough food at home to last her another week? Payday was yesterday. Was the victim from the car crash three days ago stable yet?
Running a hand through her curly, black mass of hair, she rounded the corner of an aisle quickly, only for her cart to crash into another; the impact of her abdomen folding over the handle bar of the cart had her let out a pained, "Humph." She gritted her teeth, grabbing her stomach to look up to who exactly she'd had the pleasure of running into. "You should really watch where you put that thing, you know." She said in a hostile manner. To say the least, Kar was not a people person. Unless she knew you well enough, or she deemed you worthy of being friendly with, she usually was sarcastic - but then again, that was because she felt everyone was a moron. Giving a loud, exaggerated sigh, she rammed her cart into the person's, pushing along so that her cart was pushing the other, moving it out of her way.
"There, see, all better." She gave an impudent smile, reached next to the person, and grabbed what she needed, tossing it in her cart and crossing it off her list. Karsyn wasn't expecting a reply back. She stuck the pencil in the curve of her ear to hold it there, smirked, and turned behind her to grab something else.
