• Dropped out of High School at Seventeen to attend free drama classes of an older proffessor she was seeing at the time. Never told her aunt and uncle, pretended she was going to school daily.
  
  
• Almost gave up when she got to LA, still has the plane ticket she bought to go home in her top drawer as a reminder. Got to the airport and couldnt get on the plane, couldnt even get through the front door.

• Harper Evangeline King was born on November the 28th a spontaneous Sagitarian to her core. Her birth and indeed conception was no surprise to her parents at all. Infact her father noted award winning novelist Tyler Austin King (T.A King) and mother Ella Cooper King an English Literature Proffessor planned her arrival down to the very last minute, just as they had with their first child Austin. Perectionists to the very end there was nothing that didnt fall into line when it came to the King Family be it their lives, their careers or their children.
  
  
• Despite always being at home writing Tyler and Ella hired an in home nanny to take care of their two children before adding a third purely by accident, the first and only of theirs shortly after. In a picture perfect home situated just outside of New York Ella returned back to work five months after having all children and threw herself directly back into her work. While not a bad mother it wouldnt be until all children where older that she would feel truly able to get on with her kids and find a common ground of any sort. Tyler, well he took to buying an apartment on the Upper East Side and turning it into a working studio to write in where he would often disappear to. Hands on he was not.
  
  
• Coming from an Artistic family it was little wonder to anyone that every King child was pushed toward following their more creative outlets. It was however a surprise to Harper that when she began at six to show interest in the dramatic arts it was deemed an unprofitable venture by her father and quashed in favour of writing. At the age of Seven she was enrolled into Creative writing classes, while her mother didnt agree with the treatment of her only daughter or not letting such a young child do what she wished she didnt say anything, something that would not be forgotten by Harper as she got older.
  
  
• At Ten Harper was sent to an all girls boarding school near home and much to even her own shock was boarded. While other girls her age who lived in her neighbourhood where able to return to their home, she was sanctioned to the wooden tomb, or so she called it. It was the same school that was adjoined oddly with her brothers and she took the only solice she could in being close to them both her whole life starting from when she was little right up until today.
  
  
• At Fifteen while visiting the natural history Museum Harper got lost. Knowing where her father's office was located she got herself into a cab reading off the address to the man behind the wheel and was delivered to the doorstep safely rescued or so she thought. Due to the unannounced arrival of his daughter Harper walked into her fathers office to find him and another women, who she had no idea and was hardly the point having sex on the other side of his office. Removing herself from the room silently her father never saw her but the damage for her was already done. While she had never truly believed in her fathers intentions she always felt he had her best interests at heart, all of that flew out the window when she had seen what she had seen.
  
  
• Unable to tell her mother for fear that it would break her heart Harper set fire to her dorm room having it destroy 60% off the building before it was stopped and thanks to her tactless intention to get caught she was expelled. She was more than happy in the midst of seeming very upset and apologetic about it that she wanted to go and live with her Uncle and Aunt in Sydney in Australia. She was fifteen at the time, her mother refused, her father agreed. So like everything her father wanted, she went.
  
  
• Adjusting to life in Australia was hardly difficult for Harper. Having always been a rather outgoing friendly person she made friends quickly and in no time had gotten herself comfortable both in her Uncle and Aunts home neither of whom who had ever been able to have children and treated her just as such, their own. However being away from the over protection of her brothers presented more freedom than she possibly at seventeen was prepared for and she dropped out of school in favor of an affair that she was having with her Drama teacher who was also a proffessor at a nearby university.
  
  
• Harper continued to write home to her mother and brothers though refused to talk to her father, she wouldnt tell him why. She kept seeing the teacher honestly somewhere believing that he did really care about her and yet also knowing he didnt aswell. Each day she would get changed in her uniform and pretend she was going to school, walk to the train station and catch the train to the community college and sit in on drama classes of his, finally tapping into her years of pent up dramatic angst and something that she had always felt was an undeveloped passion for her.
  
  
• When she was eighteen her aunt and uncle proceeded to tell her that they where in the midst of getting a divorce, amicably but still the home that she had grown so comfortable and the family she loved was breaking up. This affected her probably more than if her own parents had gotten divorced. Moving out she attempted to tell the professor about her problems, in turn he dumped her citing that he wasnt ready for all the drama. She was left homeless and moved in with a group of friends in Bondi, three bedrooms five people. Not exactly luxury but freedom none the less and something she did in the short time she was there enjoy a vagabond lifestyle she hadnt had the chance to live before.
  
  
• It was working as a retail sales assistant in a mall that she was spotted by a casting director. The director had seen her head shot on an acting agency's website and wanted her to be in the movie. She was asked to audution for the indie Australian suicide movie 2:37 and on the spot was offered a supporting lead in the movie that would go on to gain critical aclaim within Australia and outside of this including a three minute standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival. The film debut also scored Harper a nomination for an AFI award for Best Actress in a Leading Role a happy shock for her.
  
  
• Shifted her job down to part time and in the midst of doing various publicity for the movie began auditioning the typical cattle calls that thanks to her nomination where made easier but still harder than she first thought it would be, a challenge she took on head first. It was her determination that only female lead in yet another Australian movie writen by Marc Rosenberg, December Boys. She followed it shortly up after with an appearance as Dale in the movie Restraint again another Australian Film that gathered her more Australian popularity and acclaim.
  
  
• Under the guidance of her publicist and agent Harper was urged to expand her horizons and take the next leap moving herself to New York or Los Angeles. With her father still firmly based in New York she chose LA. With this she found that it was in itself alot like Bondi and Sydney full stop though vastly larger and far lonelier. Within the first week due to being away from her friends and all she knew she bought a ticket back to Sydney. She had it firmly in her hand and was at the sidewalk ready to go in and get on her plane but she couldnt bring herself to admit defeat. Instead she put it in her back pocket and took herself to the nearest hotel and resigned herself to not giving in until she had tried to make it work.
  
  
• It took forever to get herself out of a hotel room and into an apartment. Now that she has fully admitted and committed to staying in Los Angeles has taken to finding herself an apartment and has begun the trademark run around errands of the day to day life of a actress living in L.A. Realising that while she was a very big fish in a small pond in Australia it means that she is a small fish in a very big pond here and she is going to have to work twice as hard to get noticed.
