- has a crazy, inappropriate crush on her cousin that she admits she will never go through with but that doesn't stop her from blushing madly whenever he compliments her.
- most people do not know about her tattoo of an imp on her hipbone, which she got in a moment of defiance against her parents when she was eighteen. it's pretty straight-forward - it's a representation of her devilish nature, which she has since learned to embrace.

Emery Aberdeen is a curious little (well, not so little) cat. She snoops, she investigates, and gets all up in your business just to satisfy her own curiosity. Because of this curiosity, she'll try everything at least once. You never know if you like something until you try it, right? That's Emery's philosophy. As such, she is a very open-minded person and is tolerant of most ideologies, however ridiculous. She even puts up with her roommate's strange defenses against the supernatural. If it makes her feel better, who is she to say anything against it? Emery's just awaiting the day when her roommate asks her to go to a graveyard to salt and burn some bones. She'd do it too, for she can be a rather loyal and trusting friend.
Despite being rather adventurous, she knows what she likes and doesn't like; in fact, she can be rather introverted. She much prefers a girls night in with popcorn and gossip rather than go clubbing. Something about sweaty metrosexual men trying to get into her pants just isn't appealing to her. Clubbing does nothing for her. "Let's get drunk and look like idiots!" Um, no. If she ends up being dragged to such an event, she designates herself the driver in order to watch everyone make a fool out of themselves. Oops, I mean to take care of them and keep them out of trouble (which is mostly true, but hey she needs a story to tell them in the morning).
While she is overall fun, adventurous, and carefree, she's not exactly perfect. She can come across as quite lazy. When it comes to work, she'll dedicate herself one hundred percent; everything else she neglects. If it doesn't directly lead to money in her pocket, she'll neglect doing it until the very last minute. For example, both her room and car are a total mess. Until they are total disasters, she won't pick anything up. Somehow picking up after herself doesn't come naturally. Exercising and shopping as well are chores for her. Any exercise she does has to be fun for her and not seem like exercising. Because of that, you'll never catch her in a gym. Running on a treadmill for an hour like a little hamster is just not appealing to her. You can usually catch her throwing punches at her roommate's punching bag in their apartment or taking a jog around central park to enjoy the scenery.
Emery very much considers herself a tomboy. She loves horror movies with lots of gore, comic books, and trading cards (though not many people know she still has a lucrative collection of Pokemon cards she started collecting in 4th grade). All these things are highly preferable to her than chick flicks and Cosmopolitan (though she doesn't mind Cosmo, it's oddly entertaining). Unfortunately, because she is often thought as one of the boys, she's friend-zoned faster than you can say time and relative dimensions in space. While she is certainly not a romantic and would rather not deal with the ooey gooey stuff, she would still seeks love. Companionship and sex, those are things you can't buy. Well, technically you can but she'd rather not go there (however, she's almost at that point of desperation where she'd post an ad on craigslist - she has spiderwebs down there!)

other family. She doesn't keep in contact with much of her extended family except for the other black sheep in the family, her cousin Luke, 23.
history evaluated.
- Emery was born into a scholarly household where intelligence and success were valued above else. Being a nerd was embraced, not shunned. Screw having a social life or anything resembling a normal life. The only relationship any of the two Aberdeen girls needed was with their schoolbooks. However, Emery was never the brightest and struggled to live up to her parents expectations, as studying came hard to her. She ended up being a nerd without the intelligence to comes with the definition of one. Comic books and trading cards? Check. Intelligence? Sadly, just average. The difficulty and pressure to become someone ate away at her psyche. She loved her parents and the lush life they had provided for her. Truly she wanted to make them proud, but it was too much for her. Somehow she had cheated her way into a state school, but once there the pressure was unbearable. Instead of studying for all those history classes she was doing for her major, she spent that year looking for her next thrill. All she did was to forget the fact that she was there for reason - to follow in her parents footsteps. Needless to say, Emery didn't earn the grades needed to even start to be any kind of historian, and so she dropped out after her first miserable year.
While that had certainly disappointed her parents to the point where they didn't even want to speak to her, she wasn't dropping out to do nothing. Amidst a sea of people at a Red Sox game, she was spotted by a modeling scout. He was surely attracted by her bright red hair, which made her stand out wherever she went. The combination of her uniquely beautiful hair and long legs made her perfect to be a model.
