personality evaluated.
Mason Price is the kind of guy that can't say what he feels out loud without messing it up. That's why he likes to write, because that way, the words come out perfectly. He's a perfectionist as well, but at the same time, embraces the imperfections in others even though he's working constantly to get rid of his own. He thinks the imperfections are what makes a person beautiful and when he finds one, he's inspired by it and writes about it. He's constantly looking for the inspiration in everything, whether it be for a role or a song or a story. Sometimes, Mason takes a long time trying to make a decision and other times, he doesn't even think before he makes up his mind. He's unpredictable like that, and he does it on purpose. He doesn't want someone to be able to figure him out just like that, because he doesn't see the fun in it, so he tries to confuse them a bit sometimes by doing reckless things now and again. He's sees the world through the eyes of a dreamer and therefore has some unrealistic expectations that people call crazy.
Mason loves being in love and sometimes rushes into relationships too quickly because of it. He falls fast and when his heart is broken, he's surprisingly resilient. The only time he really stopped looking for love was when he first moved to NYC and went into a deep depression for the first six months. He was homesick and knew no one, so because he was alone, it got to him. The one thing that saved him was his first real acting gig which got him right into gear and back into the swing of things. He doesn't like to talk about it, because it makes him feel weak and sometimes he's petrified of going back to feeling that way. Also, because Mason's a story teller, he has the tendency to embellish stories to make them more interesting or to make them up altogether.
He isn't one to hide how he feels and wears his emotions and heart on his sleeve at all times. When he's sick, he becomes the biggest baby and sometimes gets mean as well. He becomes easily stir-crazy, sings out loud in the middle of stores, and says what comes to his mind without thinking about it first. He's watched every episode of Doctor Who (even the ones from the '60's) so he has definite dorky tendencies. Mason's honest, almost too honest, and doesn't bother trying to spare anyone's feelings because he doesn't see the point in it. He's also a bit selfish sometimes, especially when he's making a big decision. For whatever reason, he doesn't always think of the other people involved that could be affected by what he chooses to do. He's a sore loser as well, and will do just about anything to win.

history evaluated.
Mason was born in Tallahassee, Florida, but at the age of three, he and his family moved to Bristol, where his father had grown up. His grandparents lived there until he was twelve and were moved to a retirement home, but he swiped their house key before they sold the house and has been carrying it around with him ever since (usually, it's on a chain around his neck). Mason and his brother got into a lot of trouble when Mason was around fourteen for various reasons. When his father had finally sat them down and told them to cut it out and that he was disappointed, Mason immediately stopped misbehaving whereas Anthony kept causing more trouble.
Overall, his home life was pretty ordinary. His parents fought from time to time and Mason was always afraid they were going to break up, but they never did. He hopes to one day have a marriage like his parents and until he finds a woman that he thinks he could have that kind of relationship with, he isn't going to jump right into marriage. That in itself is a surprise because of how quickly he jumps into relationships, but he realizes that marriage is a bigger deal than dating. Mason did, however, have a bit of a falling out with his brother right before Mason graduated and they haven't talked since. It makes Mason sad, because even though his brother had said some awful things (so did he), he still loved him and wanted to talk to him again.
When Mason graduated high school and moved onto university, he initially wanted to become a screen writer. He had often seen his father in his study writing something and because he looked up to him, he wanted to become just like him. However, when he stepped on stage for the first time during a musical production, he fell in love with acting and chose to go in that path instead. He got a few acting gigs here and there, but wasn't getting many big breaks, so not long after he graduated, he packed up and moved away to New York City. The move scared him and thrilled him at the same time, and while he had a rough start, once he got an acting gig he was right in the swing of things and became himself again.

roleplay sample.
Matt had forgotten he was supposed to meet Toni at their old high school until his mother mentioned it. He was in the middle of a bowl of Cap-N-Crunch and had proceeded to spill it everywhere when he realized he forgot. Of course, he had an excellent excuse for forgetting---even when his amnesia went away, if it went away, he would use that excuse on a lot of things. "Oh, I'm sorry I forgot to walk the dog today. Remember that accident I told you about? Yeah, totally damaged my memory."
He apologized quickly to his mother, promising he would clean his mess up later. She looked a bit annoyed, but he also knew that she wouldn't yell at him. She knew this meeting with Toni was important and not just because it was an attempt to jog his memory. It wasn't even because Toni was his closest friend. It was really because, as much as Matt did not like admitting, he sort of liked her. As more than a friend. A lot more, in fact. The past few weeks were hell on him, but she stuck by him and he figured he must have meant a lot to her if she was that dedicated. How could he help himself? He was sick, a victim, he would think to himself whenever he thought of Toni and the butterflies appeared. She was beautiful and he was vulnerable. Those were his excuses for liking her, but deep down he knew it was just because---with or without amnesia---Toni was, without a doubt in his mind, an amazing girl. As far as he could remember (in other words, not much) he hadn't felt like that before he got into the accident. Maybe his amnesia was an eye opener for him. After all, when you pretty much grow up with someone, it can be hard to really notice them.
As he walked to the school---he refused to get into cars anymore since it triggered panic attacks---the instructions given to him by Toni in his hand, Matt took it as an opportunity to dig through his memory. When he was alone and walking around, he found it easier to dig up memories. Of course, Toni's presence always helped him as well. Today, though, he was trying really hard to figure out about his dad, and for some reason that wasn't something he felt Toni was good at helping bring memories up of. He supposed it had something to do with it being really personal, but he had heard so much personal stuff about Toni that it didn't really make much sense for him not to share his not-so happy stories in return. He wondered if he held things back before the accident, if he didn't tell Toni the whole truth and now no one would know but the ghost of the old him.
The school came into view and saw Toni walking on the stone ledge. He shoved his hands into his hoodie---a light blue Hurley one his mother insisted was his favorite; it was very comfortable, so he could see it---and he laughed quietly under his breath. As he got a little closer, he could hear her singing "I Kissed a Girl" and it took all the self-control Matt possessed to not burst into guffaws at the entire scene. He grinned as he watched her, waiting for her to feel his eyes on her back, and wondered if she was too much into her own world to realize that he was there. Shaking his head and rolling his eyes, the smile still in tact, he cleared his throat loudly. Then, for good measure, he said, “I kissed a girl once too. I quite enjoyed it myself.” He was rather proud of what he said because it felt like the old him that he had heard in the stories told by his mother and friends, especially Toni. Maybe even just being near the school was enough to bring his memory back. Or, maybe just being near Toni acting more like herself and less like she had to play the hero, which is what Matt sometimes felt she was doing, whether that was her intention or not.
