personality evaluated.
Nikolai, while silent, is always thoughtful. He is quite open as an individual, hardly shy. Then again, one has to be prepared to shred every last ounce of privacy, when thrusting themselves into the limelight. There are several aspects of his life he would rather keep private, which includes the relationship with his family, most importantly his brother, and any serious advances he has with someone he may declare compatible. Always the resourceful one in any environment which precedes him, his creative reservoir enables him to take control, to think quickly on his feet in very stressful situations. Nikolai is a go-getter, a take-charge kind of guy. He does not allow anything to stand in the way of his ambition. That is where the taste of his competition delves, and the competition that dwells deep inside, while friendly, can boast an ugly streak. He and his brother are often found competing with one another, through more friendlier transgressions.
There are moments when doses of reality are greatly needed, and Nikolai takes his adventures away from the shining lights, flashing cameras, elaborate costumes, line memorization, to enjoy his youth. Every actor must have a day to reset themselves, to blink and realize there is an entire tangible world outside the studio.
Don’t let the charming, sweet, friendly demeanor fool you. It can often be misleading to the unsuspecting who do not know Nikolai well enough. He can be a little deviant, and it is hard to delegate whether or not that can be a good thing in regard to Nikolai. He is conservative and justified, he would never take a woman for granted, nor would he ever take advantage of her. He will treat her like a lady. There are no faults for loving to play with women, and is rumored to enjoy it a little too much at times. At all times, he is respectful, well-mannered, in every way a mother can teach her son to behave and act around a woman. Nikolai would never do anything to physically or verbally hurt anyone, unless it was truly brought upon themselves in the most demeaning of ways. If there is a challenge, he won’t back down.
Nikolai is not known to favor physical violence, unless there are no other ways to improvise making a natural statement. Violence is meaningless, and he does not have any difficulty admitting being a lover first. Most importantly, he is monogamous, and an ambitious family man.

history evaluated.
Nikolai Stefan Vladimir was born on September 5, 1985 in St. Petersburg, Russia, the eldest son to Dante and Rachelle. Dante and Rachelle married five years prior and chose to live comfortably before deciding it was time to add on to their little family. Their first son, as expected, was quite the handful. He was always getting into everything, mischief at every turn. They learned very early in their son’s life that Nikolai was going to be a trouble maker, but learned to aspire from it. He was a trouble maker of a lesser degree, playing games and pulling innocent pranks on other people for a good, inviting laugh. Three years later, the family was given a second addition, a boy, which they named Haven Aleksey. The two brothers were close, closer than two best friends, and would begin a journey of aspiration and ambition, a future in the lights, half a world away, and it was all brought to the forefront at a very young age, when Nikolai turned five.
The two boys were clever, much too clever, even for their parents. They were always chasing around big dreams, having massive adventures in the backyard, through the snow during the harsh winter months. Haven was a writer from the start, and Nikolai always found it mystical to act out his brother’s stories. During the first few years in grade school, Nikolai and Haven were always found amusing friends, by acting out fantastical scenes Haven had written. The oldest Vladimir had an uncanny talent of perfecting voices, mannerisms, and even went about practicing how to manipulate the emotions on his face. Eventually, the older the two became, they realized there was a hidden talent in what they were doing, the kind of talent the brothers began to pursue, much to their parent’s chagrin. Their mother wanted more for her boys than the sophisticated American lifestyle, half a world away. She told them horror stories about penniless actors living on the streets, or in small cramped houses with cardboard boxes as tables. She wanted a better life for her sons, one that they will be proud of. Despite her protests, Nikolai was set on his decision, and by the time he was finished with his education, he yearned to migrate to America, and build himself a life. Haven, thrust into all of this with assistance of his older brother, wanted nothing more than to follow Nikolai.
Dante, the quietest of the four, had debated over this for sometime. He saw his sons striving to become doctors, lawyers, something to benefit society. If they were dreaming and dreaming big, all he could do was lend them a hand, as a father should. He made them promise to attend college, they must have an education. Nikolai and Haven agreed, and alongside their parents, made the necessary arrangements to attend USC. Dante gave each of his boys enough money to get by, but once that money ran out, they were on their own.
Nikolai enrolled in USC with an emphasis in Drama, and a minor in business. Aside from acting, he felt an immense pull to the area behind the scenes, making the performances happen. He liked the business side of the field, as much as he enjoyed the acting part of it. During his time in school, he was engaged in three of the school’s theatrical performances; one he acted in, one he helped to direct, and one collaboration, a montage, which his brother, Haven wrote. Nikolai wanted to think he was prepared for the golden streets of Hollywood, and at a twenty-two, gave everything he had to fulfill the mighty dream of acting on film.
For the three years after graduating USC, Nikolai’s credits include guest starring on Days of Our Lives, Gossip Girl, and one minor role in the film, The Rest is History.

roleplay sample.Nikolai tore the screenplay out of his brother‘s hand with a frenzy, and flipped through the pages, quickly reading through the various notes scribbled along the margin, words blotted out and rewritten, replacement words wedged in the small space. He flipped, flipped, flipped, and finally paused at the section Haven had suggested he look over carefully. His younger brother was certainly subconscious when it came to his work as a writer, he always wanted someone else, mostly him, to delegate it. He was looking for that pat on the back, the gold star, the ‘job well done‘ remark; if Nikolai was the one who was able to make his brother comfortable in his own skin, then that was the responsibility he was willing to take.
“What‘s wrong with it?” Nikolai inquired, reading over the lines spreading down the page, he didn‘t see anything wrong with it, at least, not from this vantage point.
“It‘s too plain, there‘s absolutely nothing I can think of, to make the character want anything. He‘s just sitting there, mulling about his life. Boring.” Haven huffed, tossed his pen down.
“It isn‘t boring, Haven. Just needs to be tuned. Alright, briefly, what is the story about?”
Haven drew in a breath and settled in the overstuffed armchair, propping his elbow on the arm, he cradled the side of his face in the palm of his hand. “It‘s about a guy who wants to eBay his entire life. Put everything up for bid. His house, his car, his boat. He‘ll accumulate the money from whatever he sells, go to the airport, and ask for any open seat, without knowing where it is he‘s going.”
Nikolai nodded. “That‘s a great story, Haven. It really is. You‘re like doing the opposite of having a character want anything. In this, it‘s almost like he doesn‘t want anything.”
“That‘s right,” Haven confirmed. “But context says he should want something in every scene.”
“Right, but since when does context mean anything these days?” Nikolai smirked.
Haven shook his head, unable to stop the smile. “I‘m supposed to follow the rules for class, Dufus. I can‘t afford to get a bad mark. Ma and Pa would say ‘I told ya so.’
“You won‘t get a bad mark,” Nikolai closed the screenplay and handed it back to Haven. “Break the rule. You‘re instructor just might be genuinely surprised.”
