personality evaluated. It is hard to collectively give one description of Kent's personality. I mean, anyone that had gone through a life-altering event would have their personalities affected by it. It's just the life effect. So first, let's talk about Kent before the accident. Kent was pretty much a text-book definition of a manly man. He loved cars, sports, the works. But most importantly, he was a gentleman. Raised by the best mother in the world can do that to you. Like so few men in this day and age, he respected women and took life with a certain seriousness that showed his maturity. Don't get me wrong, he was an extremely playful and humorous person, however a lot of the shallow things that his friends were into, he just didn't see the point. His goals were to be the best he could in his career, build a loving family with the woman that he adored and try to make the best of his time given on this earth. Kent was extremely humble and a great listener, any person would be honored to have him as a friend and most people could say that he was. Now I know he sounds like the best guy in the world but let me tell you, he definitely wasn't. Kent had always hated change and always reacted badly too it. Maybe that was why he had never left the city. He could just never cope when things took a natural turn of events. Another thing was his fascination for the finer things in life. It never took precedence over the more important things but Kent loved to spend his money in lavish ways. Of course, since he was a hard-worker, he had never found his spending habits getting the better of his bank account.
After the accident that left him without the love of his life and the prospect of a family, Kent changed drastically. His depressed side became the norm and his friends noticed that the energy that he had once had for life was slipping fast away. He is now an extremely reserved, quiet man. He tries his best to keep a smile on his face for other people, but when provoked in the right way, his temper can fly. Drinking has now become a big part of his life and when he is intoxicated, all the pent-up anger from his loss seems to come flying out. He doesn't seem to have the attraction to women that he used to either. Now before, he was certainly a charmer, even though his wife was his light of the world. Now, it seems as though he doesn't even recognize when women are interested and has certainly lost the chivalry that he once had. Kent isn't a complete downer though, he can still laugh and be happy with his friends, it is just that those moments are pretty rare in comparison to before. It seems that now the time when he is most happy is when he is acting; being another person and letting his troubles slip away, at least for a little while.

history evaluated. On the outside, it seemed that Kent had a perfect childhood. He was the only child of a wealthy family living in the Upper West side of New York City. Attending a prestigious private school, Kent got the education he needed and then some. From an extremely early age, his father had planned for him to take over the family business and until high school, Kent had loved the idea. His father had been his biggest role-model, exuding confidence and grace in all that he did. Kent looked up to him like a god and tried to ignore the empty bottles of alcohol that kept accumulating. His father was the first thing in his life affected by alcohol and because of his father's so-called control of his alcoholism, Kent would never come to realize the negative effects of his own struggle with alcohol. Kent became the spitting image of his father growing up and everyone could see it. That is, until high school. During the start of Kent's junior year, he was convinced by one of his friends to be in the school's production of Romeo & Juliet. The guy playing Mercutio had broken his leg and they needed someone that could pick up the role. Out of a favor for his friend, Kent joined the cast and this would lead his life in a direction that he had never even dreamed about. He loved being on stage so much that he focused his whole attention towards the theatre. Although his father was a little disappointed, he realized that Kent had a true passion for acting and fully backed him on his new found habit.
And so Kent was swept fast into the world of the stage. He not only got most of the leads in his school plays, but he started branching off into local theatres in the city. New York became a whole new world to him full of opportunity. It was then he realized that he never wanted to leave. Graduating at the top of his class, Kent went on to attend NYU; double-majoring in theatre and business management. Even though Kent had those starry-eyed dreams, his father had made sure that his son would have a back-up plan. College was everything that Kent had hoped it would be. Lots of theatre, lots of women, and lots of parties. He got the reputation around his department of being the ultimate charmer, but always dedicated to his work. By the time Kent was finishing up his degree, he was already starting to work in off-broadway shows, building his reputation up in the theatre world. His last show at NYU, however, would also have a major impact on his life. The girl playing opposite him, Lindsey, started out just like another other woman he had chased throughout the years. However, as they worked together and got to know each other, Kent started to realize that there was no way he couldn't live without this girl. It was the perfect fairy-tale match up and soon the couple became inseparable. They both finished school and after they were both getting a steady flow of jobs around the city, Kent proposed. It was the kind of marriage that everyone knew would last forever.
Even though they married when Kent was 25, they both agreed that their careers would be the meat of their lives for a while. Sure, they both wanted a family but with both of them gaining some fame in the theatre world, they felt they couldn't desert it just yet. Kent began to get bigger and bigger roles until he was finally acting on Broadway. He was living the life he had always dreamed of. He was married to the love of his life, he was doing what he loved and getting recognition for it. He even got so famous to get nominated for a tony...and win! The great thing about being a stage actor was that he made enough money to give his family luxuries, and yet he didn't have paparazzi trailing him where ever he went. In fact, the main stream media really had no clue who he was, and he loved it. Lindsey and him lived this wonderful life for about ten years before thinking about settling down. However, the thought was starting to look extremely appealing. They hadn't told anyone, but they started to try for a baby. Then, the unthinkable happened. They happened to be acting in the same play when the disaster occurred. Kent was off-stage, watching his wife from the wings waiting for his next entrance. It was the final dress rehearsal and this was the production that was going to top off their wonderful careers. It happened in a split second. A hanging light pulled from its loose bolt and came crashing down to the stage below, right on Lindsey's head. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Later, the doctor had revealed to Kent that she had in fact been pregnant. Kent's life had been crushed. His lover, his best friend, his wife was gone as well as the baby that they had created together. He blamed the theatre. After two weeks of never leaving his apartment, he picked up, cursed New York City and left, vowing never to return. He knew that he couldn't do anything but act with his life, it was all that he knew. However, he would never act on another stage ever again. So he packed his bags and headed for L.A., hoping to forget.

Naomi smiled as she put her laptop down on the wooden deck, next to her white lounge chair. She had found the backside of the ship and had set up camp here. Since it was pretty far from all of the attractions, traffic across was limited and almost all of the chairs that lined the railing were empty. Naomi had a feeling that once the ship was fully boarded, she wasn't going to get much quiet time so she had to soak it up while she could. For the past twenty or so minutes, she had been on the cruise's chat room, just to see what it was like. Although it seemed pretty silly to her; being on an awesome cruise ship with tons of stuff to do and people to meet, and instead just going online and chatting with people there. Oh well, she couldn't complain, she had met some cool people in that small amount of time. Hopefully people that would actually hang out with her in person too. And she had found out that Andy Wisher was on the boat, which didn't do her any harm either. For now, however, she was content with just laying here by herself, the sound of the waves lapping against the side of the boat, the smell of the salty ocean, and the air that warmed her body even when she was under full shade.
Naomi closed her eyes and slowly drifted into a light slumber. She could only nap for a little while, it was her first evening off since she had gotten here and she wasn't going to waste it with sleep. However, it was only about three in the afternoon at the moment, so she could sleep for an hour or two and still have time to think about what to get for dinner and then get ready for an evening out and about. It wasn't long before Naomi's mind started to concoct some weird setting and story. She was always having strange dreams, probably because she had a really vivid imagination; a must for an actress. She found herself back in Boyne City, Michigan, walking around her old house. She couldn't move faster than a crawl and her eyes wouldn't open more than half-way. She struggled through the home; trying to find her family to tell them that Gene Kelly had gave her a job and was going to teach her all of his tap dancing secrets. After struggling to get up the stairs, she finally got into her brother Noah's room and found him sitting on his bed, apparently the only one at home.
She told him about the job and he laughed in her face, thinking it was all a practical joke. Naomi argued with him fiercely, as though her life depended on it. As soon as he believed her, the dream changed. She didn't know how she had gotten here, but she was on a stage with only a small, white towel on. She shuffled around, trying to find her clothes and trying to ask the other cast members what play they were performing and who they were playing. But of course, no one answered her. She finally found the stage manager, who was oddly enough her father and he pushed her out on stage for her monologue. She heard the faint sound of footsteps as she stood there, unable to remember her lines. As the footsteps grew louder, her surroundings faded and eventually, Naomi opened her eyes. She had no clue how long she had been sleeping but as she looked down the side of the walkway, she noticed someone walking toward her. She pushed herself up on the chair and ran her fingers through her hair, hoping that she hadn't messed up her hair too much from sleeping. Her hand slipped into her short's pockets and got out her phone. Only 3:45pm. At least she hadn't been asleep too long.
