BIOGRAPHY izzy sloane was born and raised in mayfield, idaho. at the age of eight, after watching an episode of 3rd rock from the sun, he said he wanted to be just like joseph gordon-levitt, and so his parents moved the family to l.a. to help izzy get into acting. after starring in a few commercials, he landed himself a five-episode role on the series "the enigma of manny donahue" (1998). his first wave of stardom began when he was placed as the star of "what about the simons?" (1999), although that has been his only starring role to date, if you don't count the short film russel fish: the sausage and eggs incident (2000). after the show was cancelled, izzy quit acting, instead focusing on his education. izzy returned to acting in 2010 when he realized that the world hadn't quite forgotten about him yet, and he had told an interviewer that he's "just getting started."

TRIVIA

• the scar on the left side of his neck is from surgery in 1998.
  
• assistant directed a theatrical benefit for valley children's hospital when he was 14.
  
• during high school, he was involved with speech & debate, drama, the f.f.a., was president of the writers' club, editor of the school literary magazine, and captain of destination imagination.
