He didn’t expect the woman to stop eating because of the question that had just left his lips but obviously it was odd for her to hear it. Leonardo wanted to ask the question for the simple fact as he didn’t really want Jack as an enemy and it looked like Devon were going to be close for a long time now, well until the movie ended then he didn’t know what was going to happen, he never planned that far ahead to him it was a lifetime away. Her simple shrug kind of unease him a little, Leonardo never really has a female close friend but he knew how over protective he was over some of the girls he had been with, the ones he actually kept in contact with, so he knew that Jack was not going to like his best friend seeing a player as they would describe him. Only once did Leonardo think that his life actually sucked, when he was sitting alone in a café having a coffee and watched as people walked hand in hand, friends laughed and lover’s fell deeper into each other’s eyes, then there was Leonardo, sitting alone by his own choice, when he knew he could have been truly happy by now, married, maybe even have a child but he was stupid and held onto the past instead of moving on, and technically growing up.
When she said that Jack wouldn’t stand in her way of happiness he felt partly involved in the end of that sentence, like in the back of his mind it was yelling that he could be that guy for her, the one to make her happy. He continued to listen, watching her beautiful eyes glance from area to area as she spoke, he knew that the question had unnerved her but as I’ve stated many times, he wanted to know and Leo was not afraid to ask. Men suck, we are too jealous most of the time. he admitted, also in an attempt to get off the subject so she didn’t feel as though he was pressuring her for an answer, he gave her more than he thought she would, a simple yes or no would have been good enough for him, even a maybe. When she told him not to worry about it he gave a sort of cocky smile, Leonardo worried? That’ll be the day. Leonardo munched on his meal, finding that Devon was beating him in finishing the meal and it made him smile a little, he loved a woman with a good appetite, to him it was sexy that she wasn’t scared to eat what she wanted. He didn’t take too long to finish his meal after Devon had finished and smiled as he placed his utensils down and looked around, actually looking for a waiter to remove the plates.
As he turned round a question was fired in his direction, now he knew how it felt to be put on the spot so suddenly. Now he was wondering why did she wanted to know about that, and though the long line of ex flings was true, he didn’t like the way she put it to him, though he knew you couldn’t really make man whore sound nice. He searched his mind for the right words to say but none came to mind but luckily for him she waved off the question and he instantly felt more at ease once more, the waiters came over and removed the plates and Leonardo asked for the bill, he finished off his beer and when the bill came over he paid for it and gave the manager a firm hand shake as he got out of his seat and thanked him for the meal before looking over to Devon with a gentle smile upon his lips. As they left the restaurant Leo was walking beside the lovely Devon West, his hand resting his above her rear end as he allowed her through the door first and towards the car. Hopping in the car he looked over at her and smiled Now, we can either go back to mine and hang out, or I can take you somewhere I think you’ll really like. he spoke before he started up the engine to his lovely old impala and waited for her answer, it was like a toss up between go back to his and most likely have sex, or trust he had a good idea in that head of his.
