Jack woke up that morning a little sore. It didn’t seem like a usual morning, and he couldn’t figure out why. His eyes were still closed and he muttered to himself into his pillow. Unlike any usual morning, he was actually comfortable in his own bed alone, like he used to be. Unlike his usual morning as of late, he didn’t wake up with Nina Clarke being the first thing on his mind. Matter of fact, nothing usual was on his mind. But just as he started to wonder how he should start his day, he quickly remembered what happened the night before. At first, he just figured it was a dream. A girl he slept with in his past showed up in the library he was hanging around in for no good reason. That doesn’t happen every night. Actually, it doesn’t ever happen; at least not to Jack. He opened his eyes and looked towards the ceiling. By now, the idea of being comfortable in his bed alone was gone. It wasn't a dream, was it? He was still comfortable, but alone? His head slowly turned and he jumped slightly at the sight of the girl lying only half a foot away from him.
So apparently he wasn’t alone and before long, the events of last night began to add up. They actually did meet up in the library. And they were all over each other there. And from the time he followed her out of the library to the end of their night were even more clear. Was it safe to say he had a good time? Hell yes. Did he still think he was, in a way, cheating on Nina? Yes. He didn’t know why, but it did seem like it. They were broken up and the fact that he still thought about her made him question what last night with Olivia meant. In any case, it sure as hell felt right. But what was he doing thinking about someone else? He wasn’t going to do it again. Wasn’t going to think about Nina. He turned his attention back on the girl in bed with him and managed a weak smile to himself. It had been a while since he woke up next to someone who wasn’t Nina. And boy, did he do a good job at picking up a girl. May have been from the library, but one in a million times the girl could actually end up being Olivia Grace. It’d been a while since he woke up next to someone, period. It was the usual Jack, but the new jack considered it nothing short of spontaneous; spur-of-the-moment...unusual. Who was he kidding, though? He loved it.
Another smile appeared as it occurred to him that she made him love it. It was this girl that reminded him how good it felt to be the careless, outgoing Jack Bailey. The one who didn’t have a problem with admitting he only wanted girls for sex. The one who jumped from one girl to another in a matter of days…or even minutes. And what’s more shocking is that she didn’t ever seem to mind. She pushed him to it. Granted, she didn’t force him; just kinda led him towards it. Maybe it was just all him that made himself come back; a guy just waiting to find himself after falling for an A-list sweetheart. It was far too early in the morning for him to be thinking so much into this, but he was. He used to think about absolutely nothing at all when he woke up next to a girl; that’s the way it should be. He should be thinking about nothing at all; it’s what guys like him did. Sighing to himself, he continued to gaze over her, eventually scanning every inch of her body that wasn't under the covers.
