aspirations. 1) Gemma wants to eventually have a successful career as an A-List comedy actress, 2) she would also like to write, produce and act in a film, 3) and step up her writing range and write more seriously and more often.
secrets. she got pregnant when she was seventeen and had an abortion. the pain scared her and she's deathly afraid to get pregnant for real. she loves being in a relationship and if it didn't seem obvious to everyone that she obsessed about boys as much as she does in her head, she would date as often as she could and depend on relationships. she struggles not to.
personality evaluated. Gemma is a funny person, period. Her sense of humor is strange but more and more TV shows are capturing it these days, partly because she helped write them. She spent her high school years keeping to herself, seeing as no one found the same things funny as her and most of her personality and charm is her jokes. College brought her out of her shell however. Ever since she has been a very extroverted person, throwing her sense of humor at people and forcing them to pick up on it. And most people do quite quickly. When first meeting her she can appear very intimidating because she really is a confident little girl with a head full of all sorts of knowledge. She loved to learn, and still does, and signed up for challenging courses all throughout school. She was never a math person, but english, science and social studies were incredibly interesting to her.

Being as successful as she has been for the past six years, she is an incredibly satisfied person; however, while she is happy ninety-nine percent of the time, she does also have a lot more she plans to accomplish and therefore a lot more drive in her. Throughout high school she depending on her relationships, that were few and far between, in order to make her happy but more recently she has learned to let her accomplishments contribute to her happiness. She still isn't totally set on that ideal and strives for relationships internally but it appears to other people almost as if she doesn't want a man. On the downside, she does have a tendency to get very frustrated very quickly when under pressure. She is typically a sweet heart, as most people will tell you, but if you risk her reputation she will put you in your place and it's not always in the most professional way.

• Throughout high school she kept to herself and consumed herself with work (at the family car body shop) to keep herself from obsessing over boys/relationships/her lack of friends
  
• When Gemma was seventeen she had a boyfriend for about six months and lost her virginity to him as well as got pregnant with him. She aborted the baby without ever telling him about it and the pain of the situation scared her and made her never want to actually get pregnant ever again.
  
• She graduated high school a semester early and the family took a trip to New York and won seats to a filming of Saturday Night Live. That is when she fell in love with the show and began watching it regularly.
  
• She went to college in the fall after the trip at High Point University and majored in Communications and minored in Spanish.
  
• In college she met Vanessa Presario whose father was a music producer as well as manager in New York. They became best friends pretty immediately, both sharing a love for SNL and the same music and movies.
  
• They lived together in a ritzy apartment Vanessa's dad paid for during their sophomore, junior and senior years at High point. And they're families became very close and often celebrated holidays together.
  
• During her college years Vanessa and Gemma went through their party phase, however, Gemma was extra careful and never drank too much, fearing she would have drunken sex and end up pregnant. One night, however, she was roofied and woke up naked in a loft apartment with a local artist. She did have a pregnancy scare but when it was over she contacted the artist and they had a very serious relationship for the next three years but when she officially moved to New York it fell apart. She still is sensitive about talking about him and thinks he was "the one".
  
• Gemma graduated and considered graduate school, seeing as how journalism and other writing careers are fairly competitive, when Vanessa's dad offered her a job as a writer for SNL.
  
• She worked for SNL as a writer and occasional cast for three years with Vanessa and has now tried to break out on her own as a comedy actress.

Gemma took a deep breath and glanced at the bathroom counter from where she was sitting on the toilet. Her dress hung over the seat and she held the back to prevent in from falling in. Her heart was beating so hard she could feel it in her head, arms, legs and the sound of it was so loud she expected it to echo in the large bathroom. She had woken up yesterday morning in one of those artist lofts downtown, surrounded by beautiful landscapes characterized by their harsh brush strokes and nautical colors. As she scanned the room she could see the artist experimenting their range - using different colors, painting portraits that were merely average in comparison to the landscapes and using more realistic brush techniques. For a moment Gemma felt as if she was in a good place, somewhere she would love to wake up to day to day and one in which she would wake up often in the future; however, today she woke up here having never done so before. Today she woke up here never having met Spencer before. As she began to sit up in the bed she felt the cold blanket against her skin and froze.

As she observed the apartment more desperately now she noticed a half naked figure in front of an almost wall-size canvas, painting away and not noticing her at all. She sucked in a quick breath, surprised at how she had landed such a cute guy and how she could potentially be pregnant now. Oh great... she thought, hearing the voice insider her head even made the shaking of her body noticeable. She quickly hoped out of bed after seeing her clothes near and threw them on as quietly as she could, but inevitably she made some noise in her mad pursuit. He turned around slowly, arching an eyebrow and looking irresistible. Gemma froze for a second before regaining her composure. While she had gained so much confidence through her college experience thus far it was the last thing on her mind at the moment. "I hope you're not planning on running off on me." Gemma laughed. "Oh no, I was just quietly rushing to get my clothes on to join you over there." She joked, internally thanking herself for focusing on the task at hand. He laughed and nodded his head slowly, stashing his paint brush in one of the many colored cups on the floor around him.
