personality evaluated.
kind/caring: having been raised chiefly by his mother, cameron learned kindness and its importance at a very early age. everything cam does is with regards to others, and he is therefore very often taken advantage of. many people assume cameron's kindness stems from naivete, but rather it comes from within his heart. he trusts people, to a fault, because he would much rather give someone the benefit of the doubt than write them off. and if this results in someone taking advantage of his natural inclination towards caring, so be it. cameron will forever be known as 'the nice guy' and that is how he prefers to be remembered, because as far as he is concerned, the smallest act of kindness can very easily change someone's life for the better or at least brighten their day.
chivalrous/honorable: a mama's boy to a fault, cameron has the utmost respect for all women. regardless of their station in life, decisions they have made, or actions they have committed, cam will treat any woman like a queen. to him, women truly run the world and no man should ever make a woman even think about crying. he will go out of his way to make a woman feel beautiful, and he appreciates even the smallest of things a female can do that a man cannot. he opens doors, buys dinners, and does everything for any female. often this results in many women getting "the wrong idea" and believing him to be either a) a flirt or b) a grimy man covering his tracks and just trying to be a gentleman to get in her pants.
loyal/friendly: much like a puppy, cameron is loyal to a fault. once you have made friends with him, you will likely be friends for life barring any serious altercation or disagreement. he would do anything for his friends, and almost anything for someone he is acquainted with. though he tries to stay out of fights and drama as much as possible, he will take up for a friend if he is needed and he will stand by that friend in any situation, especially one of his closest friends.
smart/nerdy: though it doesn't come up often, cameron is a very smart young man. he constantly strived for the very best in school and wanted to learn all he could at all times. because of this, cameron is a very well-versed guy when it comes to book smarts. because one of his favorite hobbies is reading, he is also very cultured and knows a lot about current events, past events, etc. he would probably do moderately well on a game show like jeopardy, but he would never have the guts to get out there and try out.
nervous/shy: perhaps cameron's most enigmatic personality trait to most: cameron is deathly afraid of girls in just about any situation outside the realm of friendship. while he makes a great friend to any female, because of his high respect for all women and how much he cherishes them, he is not exactly "boyfriend material". this is mainly due to the fact that he gets extremely nervous around females, especially those to which he is sexually attracted (though sexually is a term to be used loosely as he does not have sex). as much as females may flirt with him, as he is a very attractive young man to most chicks, cameron generally either misses that they are flirting with him completely or seizes up completely and things get extremely awkward. because of this, he has had very few girlfriends and has certainly never gotten anywhere close to having sex with a female.
romantic/loving:because he is looking for the right moment to really 'be' with a girl, cameron has an overwhelmingly large romantic streak in him. when he courts a female, he does it in the traditional sense. he buys flowers and little gifts just because. he calls to say hi and likes to really spend time with a girl before it becomes an official relationship. he loves to compliment women and make them feel better about themselves and feels guilty when he cannot make a girl smile. he finds it disrespectful to swear in front of women, and if he slips up and does it he will immediately apologize. he doesn't mind being somewhat crude around his boys, but he will not do that in front of a woman. and if any other guy wants to find himself as cameron's enemy, it can easily be done by disrespecting a woman in front of him. maybe it's because he's a mama's boy, but if there is one thing that he will physically fight for, it is a female that is being disrespected or wronged.
innocent/goofy: because of his limited experience with females, his general refusal to put anything toxic in his body, and his general outlook on life, cameron can very easily be summed up as innocent. he does not go out and get wasted with his homeboys and try to pick up chicks, instead he goes to the club and dances and has a good time. he is not opposed to a drink or two with dinner, but he has certainly never been drunk before and never really had the desire to do so. he would much rather have fun his way, which is simply by being himself. he loves to dance and tell jokes and just be silly, anything to make the people around him smile. sure, he may be too old to be claiming that he has never been drunk before, but he surely doesn't mind.

history evaluated. Cameron Maurice Adelaide was born on January 25th, 1988, a rainy day in London, England. His father, Maurice, was stationed there as a pilot in the United States Air Force. The family would not stay in London for long, as Maurice was about to get furloughed for a few months and then take orders in another part of the world. This became the typical routine in Cameron's life. Just as soon as he got used to a new school and had new friends, he and his family moved somewhere else. Having been to 10 different schools up until Year Ten, Cameron was very used to being friendly and fun so that he made new friends easily. No one likes being the new kid, so he did everything he could to assimilate quickly in his new surroundings. He actually became quite good at it. Due to his ability to make people laugh and his naturally kind personality, Cameron (to this day) has friends all over the world from his various homes.
Aside from the moves, however, Cameron's childhood was nothing short of blessed. He had a father and mother who loved him very much, although his father was not around as much as he would have liked to be. Therefore, Cameron was very close to his mother and developed a relationship with her that would eventually shape the way he treated all women in his lifetime. His mother came from a relatively wealthy family and worked in a rather lucrative business, nursing; and his father was making more than enough money in the Air Force. Cameron wanted for nothing and they always lived in nice neighborhoods and nice houses. Because of this, Cameron did not have the life that most people think is typical of a young, black kid (not to mention his mother was white). But rather he grew up alongside a predominantly white base of friends, that is not to say that he did not know any black people, and in a predominantly white society. He fit in well, and very rarely experienced any sort of racism.
That was until he went to a predominantly black middle school for years six and seven. There he was discriminated against by the other black kids. He had never before encountered this problem. He was often called "bourgeois" because he was wealthy and because he talked properly and did not use the slang that the other kids used. This was where he picked up his love for hiphop culture for the first time. He did not completely change his personality, quite the contrary really. For the first time, Cameron felt that he embodied both aspects of his person. He had perfectly blended what was considered white and black culture. It was then, at the tender age of 11, that he had discovered his penchant for dancing. He often enjoyed street dance competitions with his friends. His friend base was diversified and he had both black friends and white friends, because he fit in with both groups of people. Cameron truly felt like he belonged.
Of course, after year seven, his family moved again. This time to a small town in Virginia. Cameron again transitioned smoothly, although this area was not very "ethnic" or diverse. He stayed in Virginia until high school. By then he had gone from singing in the choir at church to singing for fun and at talent shows and open mic nights. The kid had talent, to say the least, and he was a pretty talented songwriter as well. His mother began researching performing arts schools for her son, though his father would have preferred to keep him in a regular, public school. She found a performing arts school in London after his first year of high school and Cameron took an interest immediately. It was convenient that his father was being stationed in Germany within the next few months, and he would therefore be semi-close to his family. Cameron applied to the school under a double major of dance and singing, because he could not choose between the two and had proven his proficiency in both areas.
While his parents packed up and moved to Berlin, Cameron packed his own boxes and suitcases and prepared himself for his first small taste of independence and his glorious return to his country of origin. He enjoyed his stay in England immensely. Not only was he able to work hard to hone his skills in singing and dancing, he also found that he had developed quite a penchant for acting. More importantly, however, Cameron had found stability. He was in one place for more than just a few months to a year, and he made friends. One of these friends, would turn out to be the most important person in his life (Second only to his mother). Her name was Blake Bailey, and when he met her he had no idea how deeply he would come to care about her. After years of being her friend and protector, Cameron still finds himself as deeply in love with Blake as he was the first time he ever saw her. This, however, has become his biggest secret.
After graduation, Cameron and Blake decided not to go their separate ways, as they had become a support system for one another. They began exploring their careers, working together in music as well as small acting roles. Eventually, they both hit it big, though if you ask Cameron, Blake is the far more talented and famous of the two. So they moved to Hollywood, where they could live out their dreams and their adult lives.

roleplay sample. It had been years. Well, a year and half or so to be precise. Zoli had spent ages locked up in her new apartment, lonely and wondering if she was ever going to stop hating herself for the decision she had made. As it seemed, she was never going to be able to move past it. That was until Zane had made her get up off of her couch and go out and do the things he knew she used to enjoy. It was then that she was able to move on, though in her heart she had still felt guilty for what she had done to Christian. But now her phone was ringing and it was Christian's picture flashing on the screen, a picture that she had taken over a year ago on a date. She had stared at the phone for a good ten seconds, sure that she would wake up any second and it would not have rang at all. When nothing ended this little reverie, she answered the phone tentatively, only to hear a familiar, but nearly forgotten voice on the other end. He was in Boston. He wanted to meet her. He wanted to talk. Everything was choppy and disconnected, as she found herself thrust into a world of memories and nostalgia, forgetting briefly of her study date with Zane in a few minutes as she agreed to meet Christian later that afternoon in a cafe in town. She hung up the phone in disbelief, sitting on the edge of her bed looking stunned for another fifteen minutes as she tried to register what had just occurred.
For the first three months she had been in Boston, she had waited for this very phone call, and it had never come. She was stupid to think that it would. Christian had been perfect and they had been happy, and she had decided to leave to pursue her own dreams, leaving him in the dust. It was not his fault at all, but yet she had still held out hope that one day he'd call, or show up, or send her a letter, or a smoke signal. Anything would have been fine. Their contact had been brief and sporadic since her move, and she had no idea what he was doing with his life and she was sure he had no idea what she was doing with hers. They had grown apart in a way that she had never even thought possible, when he had been her other half for so very long. But now, even after so long, she could feel the familiar feeling in her stomach that being with Chris often gave her. She could feel the blush rising in her cheeks like it used to when he would say something especially sweet to her, or when he would bring her flowers. She could feel her heart beating so hard against her chest that it was sure to give her a new tattoo, much like it had the first time she and Christian had kissed. But even with those positive feelings and memories, she could also feel an immense blanket of guilt settling over her whole body. Not the same guilt she felt for breaking it off ages ago, but a new guilt, a guilt that seemed to rhyme with the name Zane. They had been "dating" for awhile now, and she had been the happiest she had been in a long time. But now, it seemed like everything was about to change. Though for the worse or better, she did not know.
When it came time for her to get ready to meet with Christian, she spent ages obsessing in front of her vast array of clothes, organized by color in her closet. She couldn't look too good, as if she was dressing up just to see him again, but she also couldn't look a mess and have him be repulsed by her. It was a situation she was not prepared for, to say the least. And she finally managed to settle on a pair of dark skinny jeans and a white t-shirt that read "Swagger Like Me" across the front, although her usual confident swagger was almost nonexistant at this point in time. In fact, her reflection in the mirror looked far more meek and shy than she had ever seen Christian or his best friend Cameron act in high school. She began to sift through the shoes boxes that were stacked neatly in her closet. She had a pair in mind, of course, but she found that her organizational system had slipped her mind completely at this moment. So instead of her usual seeking method, she took to tossing the boxes of shoes out of the closet until she could find the ones she wanted. Twenty shoe boxes and a pile of shoes later, Zoli slipped her feet into the shoes she had been searching for and took to stacking the boxes back up neatly in her closet, replacing the shoes that had been expelled from their homes mid-flight.
Too afraid to wear contact lenses, for fear that they would irritate her eyes and make her look a mess, she slipped a pair of rectangular framed glasses on her face and chose a tasteful stud to put in her nose today, as opposed to the hoop that usually resided there. She stared at her completed outfit in the mirror, running a hand over her choppy red and black hair that framed her face, making sure that nothing was out of place. Noting that it was still September, and therefore probably a little cool out, she grabbed a black jacket and slipped it on over her shirt, zipping it up halfway and wrapping a white scarf around her neck. Finally, she spritzed herself gently with a spray of perfume. This was it, she could stall no more. So she grabbed her keys and her cell phone and headed out the door.
She arrived at the cafe they had specified and took a deep breath as she got out of her car, heading for the entrance. She entered the warm room and looked around, spotting Christian almost immediately and swearing silently at the knots that were forming in her stomach. She had missed him so long that she didn't know how to act. She had to tell him, at some point, that she was with Zane. Which, even if he didn't still have feelings for her, would probably hurt him since he had never been quite fond of Zane at all. But now wasn't the time to think of such things, for now, as she neared his table, all she could think of was how much she wanted to wrap her arms around him and never let go.
"Hey..." She said somewhat awkwardly as she arrived at his table, chewing on her bottom lip nervously as she took the seat across from him, not quite sure what to say to him next.
