the night was just getting started. for natalie, it meant getting out of the black suv, walking down the red carpet with screaming fans before watching get him to the greek then going to the after party and partying until dawn. that's if she was prepared to stay up that long and suffer a great plane ride back to los angeles the next day - heck yeah she was prepared to do all that. though first she had to get out of the black suv. flashing lights outside indicated that they had braved the new york city traffic and finally arrived at radio city hall. once the vehicle stopped the door opened and natalie stepped out. beside her was none other than rebecca hamilton whom natalie had brought with her as her "date". it was actually more of a companionship considering nat always preferred to do these events with a friend. and it was a stroke of luck that the two were in new york at the same time, natalie had only been here for two days ( taking time off filming ) to promote the movie while becks was here to visit family.

and just what movie were they here for? get him to the greek. fans lined up behind the barriers screamed when they saw the two actresses stepping onto the red carpet, holding out markers and posters wanting them to be signed. they were most likely there for russell brand and jonah hill, the two big stars of the film which was great in natalie's opinion. for once she was more than happy to let her co-stars shine more than her - being an a-list actress and all. that, and the fact that she wasn't seen for the majority of the film. cameras started pointing towards them and natalie looked over at rebecca smiling while a big dose of adrenaline rushed through her body. it would be a lie to state that she was used to all this red carpet fiasco despite having done this many times before. however, this was also the second time she had been to a big red carpet event since coming back from her year long break. the first was at the golden globes where she went not because she was nominated, but to say "hey, look at me i'm back!", an idea formulated by her agent.

there was shouting everywhere as natalie graced the carpet. she could only tightly grip her clutch for if she tightly gripped becca's arm, it'd hurt. the first people she had to greet were the fans who made the effort to come. well that, and her publicist had told her to. handing her clutch over to the publicist, natalie said hello to the crowds of people as she took their pens and started scribbling her autograph on whatever they were holding out. a few were posters while some were magazines with her on the cover to photos of her from photo shoots and other films. photographers were shouting everyone's name, and when she heard russell brand's name, she looked down the carpet to see him and his fiancée, a la miss perry, doing the same. photographers then shouted natalie's name to look into their lenses, and she did so, trying to smile into each and every camera. the woman hardly smiled when it came to these things though, but she tried. when the publicist pulled her away from the barriers to stand in front of the cameras, "becks!" she called out as she reached out for her so the two could pose together, and so people could go "oooo, who's that?" in the papers. this time she smiled more knowing she was standing right beside her close friend. while they were preoccupied with the lights and flashes and the shouting, natalie hugged becks, "thank you so much for coming!" she somewhat yelled over the noises around them.
