He was sure it wasn't called cheating because Jack was a hundred percent single. Although it didn't make sense to him why he still didn't feel like himself tonight. It was his first night out to the club with his friends and quite frankly, he kept on making sure he didn't do anything stupid because he was still used to the idea that he was still married. Before going to the dance floor, he even stopped himself a couple times only to realize he wasn't doing anything wrong. Well, it was safe to say that he missed being with Nina Clarke. It wasn't the most exciting Jack Bailey life he used to live, but he was still happy. She may not have been, but he was. Reminding himself it was for the best and that it was over now, Jack downed his shot of whiskey and followed a couple girls to the dance floor.
Sure, he may not be treated like royalty anymore because he just went through marriage and no one was used to the old Jack Bailey, especially not Jack himself. He was still loving every bit of the attention that he was getting, even though it wasn't as much as he used to get. Maybe because there was no paparazzi and a bit fuss about Jack being here. It wasn't a busy night at the club and not a lot of people were here for there to be a big riot about his presence. He picked up rather quickly even though he hadn't done this in...well, six months. It hadn't been long when a girl began to grind herself against him. He played along, but couldn't help but feel like something was still missing. The best he could do was ignore it.
Shooting for Split Decision was still just starting, but Jack was getting used to it. He didn't have to leave. He was in New York the whole time and as soon as the divorce happened, his mind was forced on the new film. It wasn't that bad, even though he wanted to back to Los Angeles where he belonged and where his home was. It was hard being away from home for so long, but he really was getting used to it. It was safe to say, though, that he really missed the huge mansion he lived in back in LA. It was all good. He was having fun here, in a way. Nina may not be his anymore, but he still had his friends with him. Scratch that, his best friends were pretty out of it with him lately. Devon hadn't spoken to him in a while; things sure have been different ever since she became an A-list. As for Tristan, it was even worse. He wished both of them didn't climb up the fame ladder as quickly as they did, he wasn't used to it at all. It was easier when he was in the middle of the attention and they had no drama of their own to ruin everything.
The more he was reminded of how much had changed in his life that he didn't notice, the more he tried to distract himself by the girl who was now all over him. Soon enough, there were two of them. He didn't seem to mind; in fact, he kept up with both of them with somewhat of a smile on his face, moving himself to the music along with them. It was suddenly getting crowded too, like more girls wanted to join in just because he was Jack Bailey. He was surrounded, but he still didn't mind. As long as they didn't open their mouth, they were just fine. He wasn't in the mood to talk. Maybe he was, but there just wasn't anyone here that he necessarily wanted to talk to. At least not someone who was all over him like they were. He chuckled to himself at the way they acted, but in a way, he wasn't amused. Nothing was new, but he felt like everything had changed.
