DON'T LET ME FORGET WHERE I STARTED
-------------------------------------------
this post is for nicolette and it's done. i never count the words. my muse is doing well and this is my first axel post. lyrics go to our last night. axel is wearing this.
-------------------------------------------
the sun gently filtered through the various cigarette burns in the sheet that acted as a shade, covering his bedroom window. yet, axel completely ignored the light that invaded his otherwise pitch black room as he had already turned his head away from it's glare. he continued to doze, snoring loudly until his wonderful alarm clock started blasting the sound of a female's voice who was currently talking about the weather. "all sun all day today. right now it is seventy five degrees outside and..." she was suddenly silenced as axel's tattooed hand slammed down on the top of the alarm clock, turning it off. normally, he would be waking up at three or four in the afternoon but his friend nicolette was in town and they had made plans to meet in central park way earlier. axel even told himself to go to sleep early that night so he would be all smiles but bronx had come home and made sure that he kept axel awake by surprising him with a couple of bottles and a couple of girls. axel agreed to drink but he disagreed to the girl, knowing that if he went through with it he wouldn't be getting any sleep. other people he could blow off... not nicolette. needless to say, axel was beyond happy that he had set his alarm.
yawning loudly and stretching out his long lanky frame in bed, he finally pushed himself up off the mattress and stumbled into the bathroom to get a quick shower. once out, he brushed his teeth, combed his hair and pulled on some clothes. then he made his way out of his room and into the hallway which led to the kitchen and the rest of the apartment. surprisingly, there wasn't any sound coming from bronx's room but then again, the boy never woke up this early either... or so he thought. shrugging, he silently walked into the kitchen as he readjusted his male parts only to be startled by a large hulking figure sitting in the living room on the couch, nonchalantly reading the paper. the black male never looked up at him and weirdly looked at home so axel kept his mouth shut, looking over his shoulder once at the guy before setting up the coffee maker and turning it on. axel automatically left the kitchen, walking back into the hallway and throwing another look over his shoulder as he reached bronx's door, grabbing the knob and opening the door without knocking. after living a couple of years with the guy all formalities such a knocking on doors went out of the window but sometimes axel wished he knocked... times like now. bronx was half awake, lounging back in bed and smoking a bowl as a beautiful haired female head bobbed up and down at his crotch. his roommate almost choked on his hit and quickly put his hand on the girl's head, making her keep moving before he finally gave a greeting nod at axel.
"dude, you know i don't care who you bring in the apartment but... who the fuck is the diesel ass guy sitting in our living room?" he asked, slightly parting his lips in a small smile. bronx slowly pulled the pipe out from between his lips and gave a confused expression before quickly releasing the cloud of smoke with a cough. "what the fuck are you talking about, axel?" axel's shoulders fell in annoyance and his features turned up into a minimal scowl as he looked on at his friend, incredulous. "ugh... never fucking mind. just... if he steals any of my shit, it's your ass," he muttered before turning on his heel and slamming his bedroom door shut behind him.
axel walked back into the kitchen then and grabbed a medium sized insulated coffee mug, filling it and making sure he had everything on him before departing the apartment. as he got into the elevator he could only silently hope that when he got home everything would still be in place. pinching the bridge of his nose, axel exited the elevator and walked through the lobby to the apartment building before finally stepping out on the sidewalk and blending into the surrounding crowd as they left work on their lunch break or were just tourists browsing shops. after walking about a block or so, axel walked out into the street and hailed a taxi. he opened the door to the yellow car once one stopped and he quickly got inside, giving the driver the coordinates he wanted to go to. axel silently sat in the backseat, so at home with the smell of taxis by now that the foul musty odor didn't bother him anymore. he casually let his blue eyes scope out the people as he sipped happily at his coffee, the only thing that would save him from getting a headache.
several minutes later, the taxi was stopping and axel quickly handed over the fare with a "thank you" before opening his door and getting out. he let the taxi pull away, a polluting cloud of dark smoke rising into the air, and then walked across the street to the park. he wasn't where he was supposed to be meeting her but he was early and wanted to spend some time walking through the park for a few minutes before he had to meet her. drinking his coffee, axel finally pulled out a cigarette from the pack in his pocket and lit up. between the coffee and the cigarette he looked like your typical beatnik, minus all the black clothing of course. he walked along sipping and inhaling until he found an empty park bench, quickly sitting down and lounging back. axel didn't get much time anymore to just relax and enjoy nature so this was definitely a much needed break for him. he sat there and smoked the rest of his cigarette before pulling out his cell phone to check the time. a couple more minutes until she was supposed to arrive. smiling in anticipation, axel finally got up with his cup in hand and continued to walk through the park until he arrived at the sidewalk, looking through the pretty dense crowd for his beautiful blond haired friend.
