hates. blondes, pretense, chrome and black, modern apartments, thigh high slashes, red on the red carpet, star trek, cats, deadlines, cheese.
quirks. she tends to wiggle her nose a lot. it isn't particularly indicative of anything, she just does it a great deal. koda has to eat each different type of food on her plates seperately and she can't have hangers in her wardrobe bearing no clothes. she is generally a bit of a kook, and seems to have an ongoing list of small but no less bizarre habits. they are usually harmless, though things like incessently moving her foot up and down when sitting can be a little irritating if you are next to her, but nothing to maddening.
aspirations. complete her 'to do before i'm 30' list. koda has a list she made on her 23rd birthday of a range of things to do, sky dive, write a short story, have an impromptu rendezvous, lose her virginity and the like. then theres working on a critically acclaimed film, and not some big budget, no script job. something wonderful and thought provoking that she can be remembered for. and start a family. koda is a little eccentric and might not seem like the typical homebody, but she really is terribly family orientated and having a family of her own is probably her biggest ambition.
secrets. koda is a virgin, not exactly a secret but she doesn't spread it around. if she should become famous, it would probably be the first thing any magazine would cotton onto and something so personal being common knowledge would make her sick.
personality evaltuated. koda is a flighty eccentric with a penchant for anything rustic looking. she is a perfectly lovable kook who seems to flit from focus and controlled to distracted from one day to the next, but she can hone in her less than perfect concentration when necessary. the way she sees it, she is an adult, she has responsibility and probably more to come but that doesn't mean she has to banish all thoughts of frivolity and retire to pant suits. though some people don't quite understand her nature, she likes the balance she has. serious enough to pursue her wants in life, and care free enough to enjoy them. her impulsive nature can capture the right sort of person's attention, and to some, she is exciting. an addictive personality for the right sort of addict with a quirky charm that some find irristible. of course, koda isn't everyone's cup of tea, though she isn't terribly controversial, not a bitch or a gossip, and tends to be more liked than not, though no one can win them all.
koda moved to new york when she was nineteen, a wise career choice but it wasn't something she would have done had seattle offered as much oppurtunity as the big city did. possibly not the most traditional definition of a family girl, but koda is just that. her nature is passionate and caring, and as a teen, she would sooner be at home with her family than out partying. koda's family is large, and tightly knit and thats the way she likes it. as a result of rarely being alone, koda doesn't care for going solo, and loves having company. there is nearly always someone in her flat and she adores cooking for her friends. though koda isn't exactly the most verbose person with strangers, she is very personable and seeks to create deep bonds with people she clicks with. though she has friends who she has met by chance at auditions and castings, her closest group of friends still remain. above all, she prides herself on staying grounded and private unless necessary. her understanding of fame is that the media will always know a certain ammount, but the deeper stuff can only come from the stars themselves. she takes her lead from actors who are known for their poignant roles and not their messy divorces. thriving to stay herself in a business that demands change, koda is open to criticism, she needs it. if her friends tell her she is getting ahead of herself, she listens and takes it on board. though some people only hear, koda listens. she doesn't ignore what people say to her, and though she hasn't mastered it yet, she strives to seperate the irrelevant from the constructive.

history evaluated.
- koda was born to alison and brody in the suqumish reservation in seattle. from a young age her family orientated nature was fostered on the reservation. a close knit community, there was always someone around, teemed with her big family, there was never really any hope of koda being a solitary being.
- at the age of five, koda welcomed her little brother into the world. she was obsessed by cote, forever fussing over the child, reading to him when couldn't understand and making pictures to decorate his room. it was around this time, in her school on the reservation, that she became interested in performing.
- by seven, koda, along with another little girl, kaye, had managed to persuade her teacher to put on a small performance. there was no stage, the costumes left a lot to be desired and, in truth, it was a total shambles, but koda loved it. she played her part with the most conviction a seven year old could muster and a life long love affair with the theatre was born.
- a few months after koda's eighth birthday, she approached her mother about joining a theatre group. the ones in center of seattle were expensive, too much money for the kiowa's to shell out, but after searching, alison managed to source a one that offered it's services for free.
- koda's new drama class wasn't as up market as most. its resources were limited and some of the student's weren't as focused on their art as she was, but her family and her friends were encouraging. she wasn't the most confident child, but she believed in her ability to act, and that pushed her forward.
- there didn't seem to be any oppurtunities in seattle for a nine year old without acting experience. to get examples of work and head shots and jobs, you needed an agent. to get an agent you need all of those things. it seemed impossible, and though koda went to open castings, the part was rarely cast for someone like her, and she began to become jaded.
- after struggling through frustration and trying as best as she could, koda had had enough, and quit her drama classes. she was sullen for a few weeks, irritated. her close companions tried to coax her into going, but in the end, she caved to her love of acting and returned.
- she carried on trying to become a better actor, when at fourteen, she was cast for a commercial. it was for toothpaste, a thirty second ad, but she was ecstatic. to the eccentric child, it was the biggest part in the world, and she had a somewhat irritatingly chipper air about her for weeks after.
- in high school, koda came into her beauty, she began to get noticed. male attention was something that she wasn't used to, and she found herself thoroughly inept at communicating with them. her friends giggled and got nervous, for koda, she seemed to lose all ability of coherent speech and usually made her excuses and left.
- at seventeen, koda gained her first boyfriend. he was tall and dark, fairly muscular for a seventeen year old but not overly so, and certifiably lovely. jack was everything to look at not much else, and he seemed interested only in seducing koda into bed. she was mature, but not experienced, and the relationship didn't last long. needless to say, jack didn't succeed.
- at nineteen, though leaving the reservation broke her heart, she moved to new york to pursue her career. it seemed the only viable way of making a living from her chosen art and she had to do it. when cote was eighteen, he moved out, living with his sister for a short time before she moved into a different apartment a block or two away.
- since the upheaval, koda has featured in a few commercials, modelling helped pay the bills as well as a waitressing job. she has starred in a few plays in community theatres and gotten some small parts in tv shows, but nothing major as of yet. though her try-hard ethic hasn't wained any.

Bright always enjoyed the movies better when she was on her way to see something older. She disliked hype. The cramped theatre, the rustling of packets, the invariable buzz and its unavoidable downfall as the thrill of being in the movies with overpriced treats and leg cramp soon wore off. It didn't appeal to her. Given, she had ignored this ideal for a night when she had bought her ticket to go see Avatar, but that was an exception, not the rule. Generally she didn't have a taste for the content of the big block busters, but the general theme of the film had drawn her in. She was a sucker for anything fantasy, throw in a bit of Sci-fi and she would have been doing herself a disservice not going. In any case, she had been riveted for the length of the picture. Usually, however, she much preferred these types of showings. A more or less empty cinema, a film with more substance than machine guns and provocative females. Films like that made her feel uneasy. Fair haired, slightly built, dorky girl that she was, being exposed to buxom sirens with glittery makeup and a head of extensions didn't exactly do wonders for her self image. Though at least she found solace in the fact that when her looks faded, she would still have some knowledge and content in her own head that could entertain someone. Her face wasn't her only attribute. Well, it wasn't an attribute at all in her opinion. She was pretty strange looking, like a perfectly amicable alien. Not hideous, just odd, and certainly not Jessica Alba. She pursed her lips, where was Alec?
Pulling her legs up, she looked up aimlessly, her eyes tracing the linear pattern of the ceiling tiles, just visible in the dimness. Bright never sat in a seat with her legs on the floor. She had no idea why they were made in such a way to suggest that position, she found it very uncomfortable. Wriggling backward in the chair a little, she pulled her knees up to her chest, folding her arms on top. She looked cozy to say the least, having said that, the chunky cardigan wrapped around her was keeping her nice and toasty no matter how she sat. Bright was one of those incessantly cold people, those at present her arms and body were warm, her face and fingers were icy, uncovered by any fabric. It just seemed normal to her now, to be that cold. It felt like an amiable temperature to her. Her attention was distracted as Alec appeared at the end of the isle, sliding somewhat effortlessly past the few people between him and his seat. She grinned, though she doubted he could see. Alec lived next door to her, and had done since she had moved here from Russia. She liked that he wasn't born in California, as she wasn't, but then, she liked most things about Alec. He seemed to have a fair few enemies, though she couldn't see why. She got on very well with the young man, spending a fair amount of her time with him.
As he sat, she turned slightly in her chair to listen to what he had to say. Pressing her lips together momentarily, she unfurled her arms like a kitten stretching and took one of the bottles from him. "Apple juice. Water is...too wet." she shrugged with a smile. That made no sense but she had a habit of off-hand remarks, most which made little to no sense. "Not at all" she said, taking a few pieces of popcorn and nibbling at the first. She ate exceptionally slowly, even more so when distracting. Still, she insisted on popcorn all the same, even though she consumed very little of it. At the bottom of her stomach, almost unnoticeable, there was a sort of nagging feeling. A strange uneasiness that kept bothering her. She couldn't identify it, or why it should be there, though it seemed to make itself known if Alec was near. Bright couldn't fathom any reason he should make her feel a little odd. Perhaps it was the change in circumstance, being that Alec now went to her school, but that didn't make much sense. She liked Alec being around. They weren't in many of the same classes but it was nice to see his face around the campus, and it gave her an extra friendly face to talk to at breaks. It wasn't as if his presence there irritated her, if it had perhaps she could understand the anxious tug she felt, but though she had tried, she couldn't find much of a reason. Still, it wasn't so big as to eclipse everything else, she could put it to the back of her mind for the most part. "You do realise this movie is going to be on for half of our lives right?" she asked, her little grin reappearing. Gone with the Wind was a sensationally long film. "And since you picked it, I am completely within my rights to fall asleep on you." she added, taking another piece of pop corn. She wasn't tired. Not yet, anyway.
