personality evaltuated. Eden is a very complicated person to get to know and she seems to revel in the fact that not a lot of people really know much about her. She likes to keep things a mystery and isn't fond of letting someone get entirely too close to her. While growing up, all she wanted was to fit in, but soon, she decided to appreciate her own individuality, and as such, cares little for such things now. She loves being her own person and isn't afraid to tell anyone else about it. Her bluntness and brutal honesty has gotten her into trouble many a time, but as usual, she doesn't really care.
She's pretty manipulative and secretive, but she's also very loyal to those she does call friends. She uses her charm and quick-wit to get what she wants and has a seemingly innocent demeanor on the outside. Of course, when most people get closer to her they really see a different side to her, especially regarding her sense of humor, which rarely bodes well for most. Contrary to popular belief, she is an emotional person and sometimes wears her emotions on her sleeves. She's known to let things, simple things even, get to her and it will usually end up affecting her actions.
Eden is anything but shy, quiet or reserved. She loves being the center of attention and grows discontent when she isn't. She can be seen as loud, rude, crude and obnoxious all at the same time, or bubbly, annoying and optimistic. It's hard to really know if she's an easy person to get along with as it's rather hard to really know the real Eden. She tends to put on different faces for different people, though there are those who have gotten a glimpse of someone who is more vulnerable than anyone would ever see. She has some serious "Daddy" issues and prefers to keep men at bay for fear of being abandoned.
A socializer by nature, Eden will flirt with anyone, regardless of her relationship status. Mostly, it's in good fun and no one is hurt, but sometimes, people get the wrong impression. She's a very social person and that can come across as annoying on occasion. She'll talk to nearly anyone, so long as they can hold her interest and will listen to anyone for the same reason. She is a good friend to have because she'll back you up no matter what, and a terrible enemy to have because she won't ever let you forget it.

history evaluated. Eden Dominga Vespera was born in the city of Brooklyn, New York. Her "neighborhood" had such a nasty reputation. The Vespera family always lived paycheck-to-paycheck in the early years, never truly being poor, but never having enough to enjoy life's finer things. Her father, Roberto Vespera, was a construction worker for one of New York City's biggest construction companies. Her mother, Edith, was a school teacher for middle school students. When Eden was born, she was the youngest of five. Her older siblings, Marguerite, Desma, Alejandro, and Edward were all older than she. They lived in a single family house with only 3 bedrooms, meaning the girls had to share a room and the boys had to share the other. The kids were all fine with this arrangement until Eden was born.
Her older siblings were reaching their teenage years by this point and there just simply wasn't enough space to house them all together. Roberto, having just been laid off, found this new situation hard to handle, and he eventually left the family. He drifted from town to town, never bothering to see his family again. A few times he'd send letters to them, telling them of his whereabouts, be he never seemed to make the attempt to try and rejoin them. Edith was understandably depressed. She was now left with the burden of trying to raise her five children alone, on a measly teacher's salary. The family had already hit rock bottom when Edith met John Wilkerson.
Wilkerson, who's grandfather was a wealthy businessman, inherited millions. He had young children of his own and was all too eager to move the Vespera clan into one of his many mansions. It was like a fairytale, only slightly scandalous. You see, John Wilkerson was not only still married, but his grandfather's company was recently going through some hard times. Still, he quickly divorced his wife of several years to marry Edith in a quite ceremony. Eden was only 8 at the time.
By the time she was 14, Wilkerson had moved the Vespera family out of Brooklyn and up to Upstate New York. Leia wasn't used to this sort of lifestyle and initially found it hard to adjust. Her older siblings were entering college, and this left Eden and her new younger step-brothers and sisters alone. She was never close to John Wilkerson, always hoping her father would return, but he was nice to her and tried his hardest to be like a father. He encouraged Eden to hone her writing skills and even sent her to one of the best schools because of her talent.
However, Wilkerson and Edith's relationship soured and the couple soon divorced. Wilkerson left Edith a fair amount of money after the divorce settlement, but both she and her children couldn't afford the finer things in life anymore. Edith had to swallow her pride and move back to Brooklyn, though it wasn't in the same part as when they left. The snickering and sneering she and Eden received was unparamount and it did a lot to make the young girl very insecure, at first.
It was around this time that she developed a sort of secret hatred for men. She hadn't forgiven her father for leaving and what Wilkerson did to her mother was the tip of the iceberg in her mind. She was more anti-social than she ever was before and Edith was at a lost as to what to do. She couldn't afford the expensive therapy sessions and merely hoped that what her daughter was going through was just a phase. Little did she know that it was something that would continue to affect her for the rest of her life, even if she pretended otherwise.
Edith decided for a change of scenery and she and Eden moved out west into a moderately sized apartment. It was not luxurious at all. It was just her and Eden now, with Edith going back to teaching. Eden entered a new school that was put up and found that she was now around the very people she couldn't stand. She found it hard trying to fit in when she had no famous or wealthy relatives like so many others. She never felt as though she belonged to the 'rich club' because she knew all too well what is was like struggling to survive. Leia's first two years at the school went without very little fanfare. She wasn't popular, but she wasn't completely off the radar either.
By the time of her junior year at the school, Eden was finally starting to come into her own. She felt more comfortable with her writing abilities and knew that she wanted to be a writer. She was also starting to feel a lot better about herself and around others than she ever had before and felt that she was blossoming into quite the looker. She never felt comfortable telling others about her situation, instead letting them believe that she was just like so many other kids. It was also around this time that she started to rebel a little bit. Sure, she didn't sleep around with anyone, but she found herself hanging out with the wrong kind of crowd. She never did any hardcore drugs, but she was turning into someone her mother was weary of. Edith was struggling financially and Eden felt as though there was very little she could do, so she started hanging out more and more with her new wild friends and spending less time around her mother, who only served to depress her.
During this time, Eden realized that she was nothing like her supposed innocent personality. She liked partying and hanging out and things like school, wasn't even on her radar. She was never a good academic student and didn't even try to hide that. Instead, she and her small band of friends served to annoy and piss people off. She didn't really have any idea what the future held for her and quite frankly, didn't care. She decided to drop out entirely, knowing it would break her mother's heart. There just wasn't much of a point to it anymore. She had learned all she needed to learn.
At the age of eighteen, Eden left her mother and took a bus to Hollywood, the only place she felt she could make it. The next couple of years saw her struggle to survive, but she kept writing, perfecting her skills until she felt ready to show them to the world. She had written a screenplay based roughly on her own life and called it, "Bird's Redemption". Birdie had been a childhood nickname for her. She pitched it to anyone and everyone until someone finally picked it up. At the age of twenty-one, Eden finally saw her dream come to life. "Bird's Redemption" was an independently made movie, but a critical success and she saw her film win several awards in the process.
She was slowly making a name for herself, with everyone wondering what he next move was going to be. She followed her first movie up with another, a noir film called, "The Announcement". It was another independent movie, with Eden in a supporting role. She had always wanted to act. Eden was gaining indie street cred, but she wasn't satisfied. She wanted to direct and produce the movies that she had written, yet no one wanted to give her a chance. Eventually, she decided to finance her own film and brought her mother down to live closer to her. Her third picture, "The Water Tower" was critically panned and Eden grew rather depressed.
At the moment, she's in the process of writing another film, which she's calling, "Concrete Jungle". Her plans are to find a director who's willing to shoot on location in New York City, her hometown.

roleplay sample. The wind howled some kind of fierce and the rain continued to pummel Reena, yet Nita seemed unfazed by nature's temperament. In fact, it only made her that more determined. She was used to such weather and saw no reason to derail her journey solely because of it. Today was going to be a good day, she could feel it and she wasn't going to let anyone stop her from having a good time. In all honesty, she had some "business" to take care of and was hoping that everything would eventually go according to plan.
She swam alone, preferring it over swimming with a group. She hated being forced to converse with others, even if they were of the same race as she. In her eyes, they had all abandoned and left her for dead, what was the point in pretending to care? That was why she kept to herself and joined up with other banished merfolk when it was of necessity for her. At least she had more of a common link with them than any of her former clan. In fact, she had absolutely no desire to make any sort of communication with those that had exiled her.
Nita finally arrived at the Shores of Runa alone, as usual. She was such an uncommon site, as most people in her race preferred being among others of their kind. She had never really been interested in such things and when she was banished, she wasn't as depressed as she ought to have been. She loved being able to live by her own rules, but she had no problem name dropping if need be. Being the daughter of the King still carried a lot of sway and there was apart of her that believed she was only kept alive because of his say so.
The rain seemed to finally die down and Nita looked around. She swam up to the beach, her fins still submerged underwater. She could easily swim out and watch as her fins became legs, but she didn't really feel like it today. In fact, she wasn't sure what she felt like. Sure, she could do a bit of flirting, but there was always the issue of someone from the Ekundayo clan finding out. That thought alone made her roll her eyes. She really wasn't sure if she was in the mood for some form of criticism, especially by their leader, Keto. Sure, she flirted with the guy and she found him terrible attractive, but he looked down on her in so many ways it was rather uncomfortable.
She sunk her head back underwater and came up again, looking up at the gray sky. It was going to rain again, of that she was certain. Nita frowned and moved herself further inshore, wondering if she could attract attention. She was supposed to be waiting for a friend to strike a deal with, but she was fairly certain her friend wasn't going to arrive before it rained. If all else failed, she'd have to get out of the water. And if she got out of the water and transformed and Keto saw her, she knew he'd kill her. She had survived this long, she really didn't want to be eaten by the likes of him.
