distinguishing features. his wide-eyed smile is pretty noticeable. those pretty pearly whites smiling at you can't help but makes you smile. matt is also known for one week, having no facial hair and then for the next week, a scruffy almost beard, he's said it really all depends if he was too busy to shave. lastly, he has a tattoo on his left wrist that says 'know thyself.' if you're wondering if there is a special meaning, don't. it happened in college on his twenty-first birthday. yes, he was drunk.

/ so i'm moving to new york
loves. film making, running in the morning, going to museums, physical activities, the great outdoors, warm beer, cold beer, any beer, being honest, being known for his loyalty, fast food, baseball caps, cars, movies in general, show business, casting unknowns in his movies.
hates. stress, people that don't listen, drugs, pain, shopping, when his personal life is invaded.
quirks. dances like a russian when drunk. always always has a big bbq at his house for cast and crew before production starts on a new movie, he believes it's good luck. always tries to find the funny in a bad situation. insists on eating desert first.
aspirations. become an award winning director, start getting into producing, becoming a family man.
secrets. when he was in junior high, he was the biggest bully, when he moved to start fresh in high school, he changed his ways. got his high school sweetheart pregnant but she miscarried when she was three months along.
personality evaluated. when asked what kind of person he was, matt would rather not talk about it. basically, he was the chubby big kid in junior high that told people to give him his lunch money. he was never proud of these old attributes because he knows how crucial your young teenage years are. even if he was a angry little boy at a young age, he was very funny with the few friends he acquired that were as equally as mean as him. however, when he moved from san fransisco, california to northshore california, he did a complete one-eighty. mostly because his metabolism got faster and the kid liked playing football and various other physical-contact sports. but mostly because he found himself much more social than he use to be. he wanted to know everyone. how could he do that when everyone were either scared of him or scared of him? he started high school with ninety percent of what you see of matt today. he was funny and friendly. he made fun of himself and wasn't afraid to do things he normally didn't do.
i wouldn't call him a daredevil but he does take a lot of risks. he became a great listener and tended to give some great advice to his friends. he made a lot of friends in high school. a good quality mr. tucker has is that he knows how to treat a lady. he takes her out to dinner, open doors, pulls chairs out, he's one of the few left in the world that does these little things. when it comes to relationships, it really depends out what his schedule is like. he's had plenty of what he thought were serious girlfriends once he moved to hollywood but none of them really tended to work out, obviously, because matt is a bachelor at the moment. when he's working, he tends to throw his entire self into the projects, also a reason relationships don't work because he's always busy. though this does speak strongly about his work ethic. he is always finishing what he starts. he has a very keen eye and tends to try and capture the perfect shot for films he directs.

history evaluated. jerry and tabitha never really had that much of a romantic history when they got married. they were in san fran when they met. san fran as you know, being one of the most liberal cities in the united states. it was the summer of 1969, jerry was eighteen and tabitha was seventeen. they met at a rock concert. jerry was actually from san fran and tabitha spent the summer with a few friends following the band through out the country. tabby was actually from a small wisconsin town outside of madison. but as romantics have it, they fell in love and no more than a few days later, they very young couple got married. of course, marriages at this time somehow always tended to last and despite tabby's parent's shock when their youngest daughter came home from the summer married, they were sure she was pregnant. however it wouldn't be later before they started having kids. through the seventies, tabby followed her husband throughout the country as they followed rock bands. jerry was into broadcast journalism and got a job with a local tv station and got a little piece every friday night covering concerts on certain venues. somehow, his little segment was a massive hit and he kept getting more and more screen time.
they settled back into san fransisco after awhile and tabby decided to get a teaching degree. at the end of nineteen seventy-nine, tabby was pregnant, and by june the following year, the couple had a baby boy. they named him matthew riley, after both of their fathers. as you know, matt grew up a rather chubby kid that stole lunch money and was very angry. his parents knew about it, and they tried to control him, but what can you really do? when matt was nine, his mother gave birth again to a daughter, who they names joanna shiloh. despite his hate to other children, matt became quite protective of his younger sister at a young age. matt got his first taste of the industry when he was twelve and his dad started taking him to the newscast station. he really liked standing behind the camera looking at every person trying to make this one segment it's best and people running around getting stuff done and making sure everyone was where they were suppose to be.
before high school started, the family moved. this time, they moved to north shore, california. his dad became newscaster in this city and his mother essentially became his english teacher in the high school he attended. he got into drama, which he thoroughly enjoined. even if he was a bit of jock, he had a lot of classes to drama and to video production. matt became increasingly more and more interested in directing. he and some of his friends would make short films and show them to family and friends. during high school, he became very close friends with natalie delaney, which is still true today as matt casted her in his latest movie. even though he was more interesting on what went on behind the scenes, matt's personal life too a turn for the worse. his steady girlfriend at the time got pregnant their senior year. his dreams of going to los angeles after graduation quickly diminished as his girlfriend said she was staying in north shore for college. always the responsible one, matt said he'd stay here and help raise the baby. when he canceled his admission into university of california, los angeles, matt felt like his dreams were done. he graduated high school and got a job. however, in june, matt took his girlfriend to the doctor for a check-up. the news wasn't good and the doctor informed them that she lost the baby. their relationship wasn't the same after that, and they broke up. feeling trapped in north shore, matt left the city and with the help of his father's connections in san fran, matt started interning at his dad's old news station.
somehow, never going to college, didn't stop matt from getting more and more responsibilities behind the scenes. eventually, when he was twenty-two, he moved to california and got a job as a director's assistant with paramount pictures. when he wasn't working on a movie, matt slowly got into directing with the help of connections he made along the way. this proving that it wasn't always what you knew, but who you knew. it was a little indie script his friend wrote and asked him to direct. his friend's father was a producer at fox searchlight, and told the two young boys he'd produce the film. the cast assembled of all unknowns, the film centered around one night before a group of friends left for college. it was one of those coming-of-age films. what matt and his friend didn't expect was the film to go to sundance. it got a lot of buzz and matt was named a director to watch for, and at only twenty-four years old, he became an unexpected hit. with the help of some hollywood friends, matt started directing some music videos, and would direct some tv show episodes, including the hit, life intertwined. his artistic eye attracted a lot of people to him. he directed a few more sundance-inducted films, one that was bought and released world-wide. writers really like working with him because matt is able to see their vision and sticks closely to the script and rarely wanders and changes major scenes. he's a happy-go-lucky on set. jokes around with everyone, but also has a serious side when he wants to see something done. and now, at twenty-nine, he is about to wrap the film, six lives, that is reportedly suppose to make his directing career, open a lot of doors for him, and be one of the biggest summer blockbusters.

( YOU STUMBLE DOWN A YELLOW BRICK )
( ROAD SPINNING YOUR SHOES IN THE AIR )

----WHEN YOUR LAST NAME WAS AT THE END of the alphabet, you never got to really be first at anything. bevin turner was one of those girls. she was a senior this year. therefore, it was time for those senior guidance counselor appointments. so even if you've never stepped foot in the guidance offices, or never managed to meet your counselor, you had to now. this was bevin's situation. never met, never cared. but the academy obviously cared to meet with all the seniors at some point. to make sure they had enough credits to graduate and all. bevin's appointment was near the end of the day. the counselor, mrs. nelson, had been a guidance counselor here for... a long time. so seeing as bevin was a turner, it was obvious that mrs. nelson got her brother and cousins. the blonde turner girl could see it now, mrs. nelson sitting through with her eldest cousin, riley turner. bright kid, bright future, probably had triple the credits more than he actually needed. that same year, bevin's brother, finnegan, had this meeting. however, the next semester he dropped out of high school. then, last year, bev's other cousin, reed, walked through this office once just to make sure he had enough credits. ok kid, ok grades, he wasn't going to college. easy enough. so now, it was bevin's turn, and she wondered if mrs. nelson had any pre-destined thoughts about bevin.
"do you plan on going to college?" of course was the first question upon sitting down in the chair. bevin hardly even got to readjust herself. pulling a strand of her pale blonde hair behind her ear she pursed her lips and shrugged, widening her saucer-sized blue eyes. "i dunno. guess i never thought of it before." mrs. nelson peered over her glasses at the irish girl. bevin immediately felt uneasy and took a mental note to talk to both her brother and cousins about this strange lady. mrs. nelson looked down at a sheet of paper. "well, bevin, you are a pretty good student. have you applied to any colleges." another shrug from bevin's corner. "i kinda think i'm just gonna stay here. you know. in valkyrie." bevin didn't really want to 'see other places' that was never her style. being out in the ocean was basically her getaway. who cares if it was a hop, skip, and jump away from her home? "maybe the university here? or the community college? there are a lot of options you have here in valkyrie."
bevin nodded. she still didn't know exactly what she wanted to do. she just didn't want to have restrictions. her parents always use to say she was a free bird. mrs. nelson must have taken bevin's nod as some form of a 'yes' because she continued on, "but one thing is for sure, bevin. colleges love kids that are involved and as i look at your transcript, you haven't been in any extra curricular activities." oh, busted. bevin never did get involved with anything here at school. no clubs, no sports. though she probably would have been a mean soccer player or great runner, she was dedicated to her passion for surfing. and when she wasn't working at her parent's motel or hanging with some friends, she was surfing. thus, not making a lot of time to do other stuff, like join literary society. "being involved with the school has never been my thing really," bevin said shaking her head. mrs. nelson looked at her, "i hear the fall play needs some people to help with set." oh jesus christ this woman was serious, "eh.. mrs. nelson, that's not really my scene. at all." mrs. nelson held up a finger, making bevin stop. "you know, i'm going to push one extra curricular on you this year. this is your last one. i believe we could have made your brother stay in school if he just had something involved in." there it was. bevin was wondering how long it would take before one of her relatives were mentioned. of course it was finn, the total failure of the bunch.
bevin left the office scratching her head. basically, mrs. nelson said go down to the auditorium to talk to someone about joining the set crew for the fall play. this was ridiculous in her opinion. she didn't even know who she was looking for. like there were just a ton of theater people in the auditorium that would know what was up. once she located the auditorium, she stood outside it for a moment debating whether she was actually going to do this. one sigh and she pushed the door open. yes, she was. she was greeted by music. piano-playing to be exact. not that she was a musical expert here, but quite good too. some dude was behind a piano on the atage and as bevin tried to see who it was the door shut loudly behind her. "oh, shit." she said quietly as the music stopped. "sorry dude," she called out across the house, towards the stage. trying to smooth over her disruptive entrance she said, "that was good, you know," she brought her hands out and pretended to play the piano in the air, "the playing."______________
