Lately Juliette had been really busy on the set of ‘The Marriage Plan’, yes she only played a minor character, but this minor character was the protagonist’s best friend, and Jules was not to be on set past the end of March. Filming for this movie was quick, because it wasn’t intricate. No special effects or fancy training was needed. She would be done filming in a month and would need to find another project to become a part of. Her goal was to keep busy whilst living in New York City. But with all of the filming and being on set, Jules had seemed to have forgotten about her friends, like Luke. She had worked with Luke before, and afterwards they hung out around New York all friendly like.

Luke had made it clear that they absolutely needed to hang out, it was necessary that they did. So Juliette made plans with her friend, to go to Element Lounge Nightclub. It was not her usual spot. Her usually spot were those indie bars. You know the random brick buildings that inside were just a dance floor, DJ on the side, and alcohol on the other side. No seating, no other special rooms, no VIP. Just a bunch of kids dressed in their hipster clothes with a cup full of cheap whiskey, dancing to the latest techno music. That was Jules scene, definitely. But she was always willing to try something new, something a little more classy; and why not try it with Luke?

He picked her up at eight, just like she had requested of him, and they rolled up to the club. It had only taken Juliette about five million hours to pick her outfit. She was disappointed when they walked inside and a majority of the women were wearing much less clothes than she was. Juliette loved to dress up, and wear layers upon layers of clothes. Eh, it wasn’t like she was trying to impress anybody. She had her friend Luke with her, and it was going to be an amusing night. ”You can’t let me get piss drunk. I have to shoot in the morning.” Ha, like telling him to not let her get piss drunk would stop it from happening. She moved over to the bar, dragging him along behind her. ”Are you going to buy my drinks tonight?” She asked, trying to look innocent as she smiled and batted her dark eye lashes at him.

Luke wasn't in a rush to find fame. His enormous ego and confidence told Luke that fame would find him, and that he didn't need to search and search for it. When the time came, the rest of the world would realize how incredible he was. For now, he was working on The Marriage Plan, a romantic comedy about a girl who ends up married to the boss she hates. Luke wasn't so much interested in the plot as he was in the people, in the industry and the filming. He was dabbling in some experience with lighting and sound instead of working the camera. If he was going to claw his way to the top as an award winning director, he needed to know his way around a set.

And of course, New York City being one of his favorite places in the world, Luke was having a good time after work hours. His close friend, Juliette, was also working on the film. She played a minor role, though Luke would have found himself filming her more than anyone else had he been behind the camera. She was gorgeous, of course. And Luke being Luke, that was one of the first things on his mind when he thought of Jules. The next thing that popped up was a good time. The girl knew how to have fun and that was the kind of person Luke liked to be with. He insisted that they hang out and Jules had agreed--and suggested they go to a club. Now...Luke was white. Well, technically he was Spanish but he was still kind of uncoordinated and didn't feel comfortable dancing in front of a lot of other people. He wasn't terrible, he was just kind of self-conscious (though he would never admit it). If Jules asked him to dance, he would suck it up and be a man about it. But hopefully Luke could distract her the whole night so as to stay off the dancefloor completely.

He picked her up at eight o'clock sharp, as promised. She looked fashionable and stunning as she always did, like she was going to walk onto a runway. Luke was wearing something lowkey, that wouldn't gather a lot of attention (but he still looked good--but then again, when didn't he?). "I'll try my best," Luke said, touching a hand to his heart. His best obviously wasn't going to be very good. She made a comment about him buying her drinks and Luke laughed for a moment. Looking over at her, she put on a cute puppy dog pout. Luke rolled his eyes. "Well, when you put it like that," he said. How could he say no to that face? "How can I say no to that face? Rolling his eyes again, he drove off towards the nightclub. Once they arrived, Luke jumped out of the car to open the door for Jules. He wasn't exactly the perfect gentleman, but he had some manners, believe it or not. "Shall we? he asked, offering his hand to help her out of the car. Surely it would be a fun night.

"that's right, you can't say no to this face." she told him, with a chuckle as she puffed out her cheeks and poked them, letting the air out. juliette had a personality, and she was never afraid to express herself in front of people. some mistook her fun loving nature for being childish or immature, but most days she acted like a respectable adult. one could not make it far in any career acting like a childish jerk that doesn't know when to make it to work on time, or just decides they don't want to come that day. on set she tried to be on her best behavior, especially around the females like paige and blake, but when she was with her boys, she was off fooling around, cracking jokes, not worrying about if something she said might be wrong. the only girl that seemed to understand her personality or sense of humor was her best friend kate, and sadly she was in los angeles and going to morroco. so she would just have to spend her time with luka and frankie! aw, what a shame for them two. pfft.

juliette grabbed a hold of his hand and make sure her foot was placed firmly on the pavement, and not halfway on some curb, and lifted herself out of the car. "i believe we shall." she replied, letting the car door slam shut behind her. eagerly she entered the lounge. like i said before, this wasn't her usual place. she was fascinated by the number of gorgeous people, there were a lot. and also by the decorations, this place must have been a fortune to start and keep up, but anybody could do well if it had a stocked bar inside offering drinks to whoever was willing to pay all night long. she stood near the entrance and turned to luke. "have you ever been here before?" she questioned, not really interested in an answer.

the music was blaring through the DJ's speakers and people were either mingling off to the side or at the bar. the night was still young, at least for new york city, and so very few people were not out on the dance floor, which jules took note of. she grabbed a hold of luke's hand, as if she was afraid she was going to lose him. she leaned in to him so that he could hear her, "am i going to have to teach you how to dance tonight?" it would not be anything too impressive. it was true that juliette had done lots of dance in high school and when she was younger, she was the lead in most of her school's musicals for crying out loud. the girl knew how to dance! "i don't want you to feel left out, because i am getting on that floor and dancing."

Jules poked her cheeks and Luke laughed. She had the cutest mannerisms sometimes, it was enough to make him nauseous. But Luke wasn't about cute, he wasn't cute, he was Luke Garza. Master of badass and all that. Although, despite his preceding reputation, he was glad that Jules was comfortable enough with him to crack jokes and make a fool of herself in front of him. There was something sexy about a girl who let herself go like that. Luke couldn't complain that he'd been hanging out with Juliette lately, since her other friends were off filming. It just meant more Luke/Jules time and more fun he would be having, because the only people he really even bothered to associate with were her, Drew, and Frankie. Everyone else was to be penciled into his schedule and only a few of them actually booked appointments (and by appointments I mean hang out time) with him. When she'd suggested the Empire Nightclub, Luke was hesitant, but he wasn't going to refuse.

Following his female counterpart into the lounge, Luke laced one arm around her hip protectively. If he was going to come here with her, he wanted to make it known that he was with her. Call it an animal instinct or whatever, but Luke wasn't going to have any other scumbags hitting on Jules while he was around. Maybe it was just a guy thing. "Um, not that I can remember," Luke answered her. On a normal day, Luke wouldn't even consider coming to a nightclub. He picked up women and hung out with his friends at good old fashioned bars. Gentleman's clubs if they were feeling adventurous. But between work and...more work, Luke didn't find a lot of time to go out to bars anymore. Typically, he just went to house parties and other soirees his friends or colleagues held. He was pretty sure that it was all part of the growing up process, and if it meant him rising to fame sooner, then it was okay by him.

As they entered, Luke was relieved to see that the floor was relatively empty. More time for Luke to stall. She grabbed his hand and pulled him in close to speak over the blasting music. Teach him how to dance? That was almost insulting. Almost. "I know how to dance!" Luke said defensively. "Just...not very well." A sheepish grin spread across his face. "Could we wait a little while, for more people to start dancing? I feel like an idiot if everyone can see me." On a normal day, he would never have admitted to that. On a normal day, Luke would have told a girl that he would be teaching her how to dance and dragged her out to the dance floor. But this wasn't a normal day and he was with Jules, and he could admit that he looked gangly and awkward (or he felt like he did) when he danced. She might not ever let him live it down, but Luke had plenty of dirt on Jules to level the playing field with.
