JACK . DESTINYS APARTMENT . MIDDAY . CODING IS TRICKY ON ITOUCH !
So it was about two weeks after the Golden Globes. While the actual event and presentation was amazing, the after party club hopping was a little mental. Thank god her best friend Gabe Aldridge had been there to take care of her. She had been quite stressed that week, as it hit her that she mightn't get anywhere in this career with her child and no one to support her. Well there was Gabe, but they were just friends. They didn't live together, and Hope wasn't his responsibility. So until she had a blues clue of what she could do and actually get a role, she just had to live life as it was now. And today she decided was going to be one of those lazy days: just her and Hope. But before she could spend quality time with her daughter, she needed a relaxing shower. Hope had been left on the floor with her toys and she would be content enough there until Des was finished in the shower.
Destiny finished her shower and went to her room. She stuck on some underwear and towel dried her hair. She also stuck on some thick socks she took from Gabe. Why was it that guys always had thicker socks than girls? Anyway. It clicked in Destiny's head that she'd promised Hope her juice after she'd finished her shower. And just when she thought of it, she heard her daughter wail: "Mummyyy! Can I have my jwuice now?" Destiny laughed. "In a second, darling!" She replied and just walked out of her room wearing a bra, knickers and socks. She didn't even turn to see who else she walked by. She didn't know her ex-boyfriend and A-lister Jack Bailey would be there. She only expected her daughter. Not him. She got the juice carton from the fridge and finally towards her daughter. Her eyes widened as she saw Jack playing with Hope. "Jack, what are you doing here?!" she beamed at him smiling. She forgot she was half naked. But it didn't matter: he'd seen it all before anyway.
They had an interesting history as a couple. When they met, when Jack fell on top of her and they ended up against a wall speechless, it was magic. They ended up seeing each other and dating. It was great, really great. Destiny was just out of her party habits. They'd stayed faithful to each other throughout. Nothing bad or dramatic happened that made them split. They cared for each other, that was more than obvious. Des was younger than him and less successful. She needed time by herself to focus on her career, and a relationship would only complicate that. But they stayed friends. There was no way they couldn't be friends still. They hadn't hung out in forever though, and here he was. She half walked, half skipped towards him and wrapped her arms around him in a hug. "Hows it been?"
