It isn't something that is always there, but it becomes obvious when she's acting - either on stage or in front of the camera. When she acts, you can tell that she loves what she does. The best part of it, though, is that she has a way of making others - not everyone - more excited to be there. Her enthusiasm towards acting is what enables her. Although she knows she's good-looking, she also knows that she's not the prettiest actress out there - but the enthusiasm that she brings when she works has made some casting directors fall in love. Versatile: Tracey is willing to take on even the smallest of roles. She's not so arrogant to assume that she'll always get the lead role in any production. Regardless of how low-key any role may be, Tracey won't mind having to take it. Moreover, Tracey actually wants to perform in a variety of different genres. She wants to try a little bit of everything. To make it simpler, in terms of genre - she's a jack of all trades but a master of none. Right now, she's just trying to find that one genre that she excels in. Observant: Tracey is very observant of her surroundings. Being bullied as a young child, she pretty much had no other choice but to learn how to predict when someone would fly off the deep end and come after her. To put it simply, she probably knows people better than they know themselves. Body language and verbal nuances are two of the things that she's learned that she needs to pay attention to if she wants to make it in the industry. Catfights might provide publicity to both parties but Tracey knows that nobody wants to work with a diva. Moreover, as the underdog, Tracey knows that if she were to get in a fight, she'd be the one to suffer the social pitfall. Honesty: Tracey's mother raised her to live by a single principle: "Honesty is the best policy." To say that she was a snitch would be a lie, though. Although some would think that not speaking up is just as bad as telling a lie, Tracey knows that telling others about the actions of others - even if they had no effect on her - might just blackball her. It's not lying, in her opinion - it's looking out for her own well-being. When it's something of actual relevance to her, though, Tracey has no problem speaking her mind. Even if she knows that the other person doesn't want to hear it, she'll tell them what she thinks - it's like ripping off a bandaid, the faster it is the less painful it would be. Appreciative: Tracey knows that she's lucky. She knows that there are millions of others that wish that they could be in her position. Although she doesn't have many of them, Tracey adores her fans. She knows that she wouldn't get anywhere if she didn't have any fans. However, it's because of her fans that Tracey works as hard as she does. Just because they like her now does not mean that they'll always be her fans. Fans come and go on a daily basis - and Tracey's only way of making them stay is to work as hard as she can so she can wow them everytime they see her. WEAKNESSES Mistrustful: Tracey has a difficult time trusting others. It happened as a result of childhood bullying. The bullying didn't just give her one of her greatest strengths but it also developed one of her biggest weaknesses. Acting in a production involves teamwork. Teamwork involves trust. Tracey knows that her mistrustful ways are a big part of the reason she hasn't booked more roles. Naive: Tracey sort of sees the world in black and white. In her mind, people are either with her or against her. The whole concept of friendly rivalry is nonexistent. If someone isn't her friend, Tracey will probably assume that they are one of her enemies. Her naivety has also taken a toll on the few intimate relationships that she has had. Although she has difficulty trusting others, it's hard for her to imagine someone betraying that trust once they have earned it. Some of the men that she had dated in the past had taken advantage of her naive way of thinking which only made it more difficult for others to gain her trust. Vague: Tracey doesn't like making difficult decisions. If possible, she tries to circumvent it altogether. If it's something she cannot avoid, she makes broad statements so that she has "wiggle room" to change her mind. Like her naivety, her vague answers certainly do not help her social life. Sometimes people want Tracey to be straight with them, but it's difficult for her to be straight with people that she doesn't have some sort of connection to. She refuses to lie because it would go against her honest nature so she tries her best to be vague. Stubborn: If Tracey does make decisions, however, it's very difficult for one to change them. No matter how much you try to change her mind, she will not budge. It's either her way or the highway once a solid decision has been made. Unless someone can show irrefutable evidence that she has made the wrong decision, Tracey will continue to stand by her decision. Her stubborn thinking has destroyed all of her friendships but the few she has had since childhood. To this day, though, Tracey still does not understand why. Passive: Although very enthusiastic about her work, Tracey is a passive person in everyday life. She prefers to simply watch the world around her rather than get involved. She sees herself as a follower rather than a leader. She has tried to become more active but she just has a difficult time of putting herself out there if she's not either performing or auditioning for a role. Tracey prides herself in her work but because she doesn't constantly put herself out there, it's rather difficult for her to actually get jobs. Tracey's passiveness is something that might not just disappoint her fans, but herself as well. SKILLS Tracey sees herself as a fairly decent actress. If she wasn't, she doubted she would have ever landed any roles to begin with. This is especially true considering she landed her first supporting role when she was only 9 years old. Following that, she had a lead role in a children's television series. She's also starred in a few movies here and there but nothing substantial enough to get her truly noticed. She'll admit that she's been in some fairly large productions but that was more because of her A-list cast-mates than her. Tracey also believes that she is a fairly good singer. In her debut role as Addie in Unfabulous, Tracey had to do quite a bit of singing. Because Addie was a character that wrote songs and played guitar in her spare time, the production crew kicked out all of the people who couldn't sing from the auditions. After all, guitar-playing could be pre-recorded but they didn't want to have to use someone else's voice for the actual singing of Addie's song lyrics. Tracey earned the role not only because of her talent in acting but because of her singing voice which had matched the crew's image of Addie. Tracey also plays basketball in her spare time. She'd rather practice three-pointers and lay-ups than shop for new clothes or accessories. She simply wasn't very big on material things. EXPERIENCE FILM Blow (2001) - Young Kristina Jung Aquamarine (2006) - Claire Brown Nancy Drew (2007) - Nancy Drew Scream 4 (2011) - Jill Roberts Television Unfabulous (2007-2007) - Addie Singer Drake & Josh (2004) - Addie Singer, 1 episode Tracey had always been fascinated by movies. More than that, though, she was captivated by how actors and actresses were able to bring the characters of a story to life. It wasn't until her father took her to a taping of a TV show when she was five that she realized that she wanted to become an actress. However, Tracey knew that it wouldn't be easy. She couldn't just walk into a studio and ask for an audition. She knew that she would have to work for it. Immediately following the television taping, Tracey asked if she could go to acting school. Her parents not only complied with her request, but they did her one better. Instead of an acting school, they enrolled her into a private academy that specialized in the arts. Tracey still doesn't know how they were able to afford it, but she didn't think it would be right to ask them now. The academy taught her that it was better to read over all of a character's lines once you've earned a role because it would give you a better idea of who that character was. They taught her how to sing from the diaphragm. They taught her everything she could possibly need to know. School was different from reality, though. Almost all of her past roles, with the exception of Scream 4 and Aquamarine were acquired through auditions that she had found through the school. It made sense, though. The audition processes for the Scream franchise and Aquamarine were some much more difficult than any of her past auditions. Tracey had honestly thought she would have been turned down. The fact that she had been cast in both movies was a surprise but it was a welcome one. The acceptance into the cast of Scream 4, especially, made her feel like she was meant to be an actress. It gave her a confidence that she had never had in the past. |

This press conference was taking longer than she had originally expected it to. However, that was to be expected given that one of her cast-mates was currently missing in action. Marcus was supposed to have arrived at 9 am and it was now noon. Everything was two hours behind simply because Marcus was running late - and it was causing almost everyone to panic. Tracey, of course, was attempting to keep herself calm but the fact that Marcus had yet to arrive was starting to grate on her nerves. This was an extremely important press conference because it would allow Tracey and her cast mates to promote their upcoming show. Tracey groaned as she continued to wait for their wayward cast member to arrive. If he didn't arrive within the next five minutes, then the press would leave. If the press were to leave the area...it would take a complete and utter miracle for their show to get any viewers. Nobody outside of the production crew and the network even knew that the show was in the production stages. They had already filmed twelve episodes. Those twelve episodes would go to waste if Marcus decided to simply not show up. Tracey narrowed her eyes in anger as she glared at the door as if she were commanding it to open. To say that she was angry at Marcus would be an understatement. It was also a lie. Tracey wasn't just angry at Marcus - she was downright furious. If this show didn't do well, then Tracey might as well just quit acting altogether. This show, although it was rather obscure, would be the first production in which I had the starring role. It had been four minutes since the group was told that it would have to leave if Marcus did not arrive and, right now, it looked like Marcus would never be able to get to the studio. Tracey had just about given up on Marcus by this time. Tracey had already started to pack up her bags alongside one of her female cast-mates when Marcus finally walked in. Tracey grinned at Marcus's late arrival. Tracey quickly wrapped the gentle giant in a rather tight embrace. Now that he was here, the rest of the day could progress as planned. |
