the player ALIAS lynn. YEARS OF EXPERIENCE 9ish years. OTHER CHARACTERS none. HOW'D YOU FIND US? caution 2.0. dani's wanted ad, to be exact. RP SAMPLE "Carlisa." The first word to escape his mouth since they'd left center stage a few moments before. It tasted bitter as it escaped his lips, his eyes moving to look over the familiar blond standing off by herself. His brothers had shifted to a separate corner, heading to meet his gushing mother. They had probably expected him to follow them, and Landon surprised even himself when he didn't. Instead, he stood just a few feet inside the backstage door. The cheers from his speech moments before were finally starting to settle enough that the hosts could carry on with the next award. It was all irrelevant at this point, however, because he already had his mind on things that weren't just the sparkly new award they had to line the award hall in their house. He was standing here in a bustling room of people after what had potential to be the most awkward moment of his life. Before him stood one of a long string of exes, but still perhaps the most stable girlfriend he had ever had. Carlisa Almond. He wasn't even certain as to why he had acknowledged her existence after the terms they had left on - in fact, he wasn't even certain as to why she was here - but, he had and she was, and the matter couldn't be helped now. The words escaped his mouth like word vomit - toxic, irrational, and accidental. But, now that he had acknowledged her, he supposed he just had to roll with it. Landon stared for just a moment, adjusting the scarf that was wrapped loosely around his neck as he did so. A cool, even stare, one that he'd become accustomed to giving her over the course of this past year. Truth was, he knew exactly why she was here. She wanted him back. Okay, probably not, but he did toy with the thought for a few seconds as he wandered across the short space that separated them to more properly address her. She'd been ignoring him for the duration of the night, or so it seemed. She'd at least avoided his rather demanding eye contact in the lounge earlier that night, and that was enough of a sign for him that she didn't want to talk. But, Landon didn't take well to being ignored and he didn't mind making things a tad awkward. They'd co-written a song together after she had signed to his label a few months ago. And that had probably been the real most awkward moment of his life. What did you say to a girl who you dated off and on for three years before calling it quits because she wouldn't get serious with you? Nothing. Or, so he had opted. And, therefore, that had made the experience even more awkward than this now would be. Landon still wondered what had brought her to come tonight. Essentially, she had contributed to the song, but ultimately it was the Rose Brothers who had won. She wasn't truly famous any more - at least, not as much as he was - and so he saw no real reason for her to be here. Unless, of course, his initial thought had been true. Arriving at Carlisa now, Landon felt himself shift to stand just a tad taller before her. He folded his arms, eying her for a moment before a challenging smile crept onto his face. "You decided to show tonight, huh?" The question came off a tad harsher than he would have liked for it to, but it seemed as if everything he said to her since their break up had held that same bitter edge, even if it had been years now. Though he'd never honestly admit it, there was a part of him that still resented her for their break up. But, that part was buried far beneath the side of him that liked to antagonize her. |
