Her trip to New York City had been eventful so far, what being a business trip turning into a mini-vaca. She had had a few meetings for a fashion line she was wanting to start, and once those were complete, she had talked Jedidiah into spending some quality BFF time together. It wasn't a hard thing to do, since she had been friend-zoned from the get go. So far they had gone to the studio together, she loved sitting in while he recorded. It was no secret that Aalina had felt more than just friendship for the man, but, it seemed to be an unspoken, but obvious line that they would always be just friends.

Sure they flirted, and the occasional drunk kiss would happen, but for the most part they kept their relationship as it was. Not to mention Bernadette had made it quite clear that Jed was her territory, even if it wasn't. Lina liked to avoid the drama, so she didn't rock the boat. That night, somehow it was decided they would have a horror film marathon, which at the time sounded great. A few hours later, in the stillness of night, she wasn't having it. Without thought she climbed into bed with Jed, snuggling close like a small child. She was still there when she awoke that morning. Curled up in the middle of the bed, disappointingly alone. She could hear the water of the shower, and feel the light from the windows filtering in, falling on her skin.

She suddenly became excited; they were going to the zoo that day. She had tried before when he was in L.A., but he had convinced her that the Bronx zoo was better. She just assumed he didn't want to go. But now she was in New York, and he couldn't wiggle his way out of it. Climbing out of his bed, she wondered if she should make it, but decided against it as she pulled the t-shirt she had slept in off, walking back to the guest room she had claimed long before this trip.

Discarding the shirt onto the bed she scavenged within her suitcase, looking for her WWF panda shirt; it fit perfectly with the day's theme. In fact it was the only reason she packed it, come to think of it. Grabbing a pair of cut off shorts, she finished the outfit with a pair of converses. Laid-back, casual, perfect for a day in nature and with her best friend. Getting dressed she skipped out of the room, back into Jedidiah's. "Jeddy!" She hollered out, no longer hearing the shower. She flung her small body across his bed once more, bouncing a bit more than she meant to. "Man, you're bed is quiet. You could be having sex in here and no one would know!" She giggled to herself, waiting for the man to appear.

making new memories of us

From the outside looking in it appeared that Jedidiah was quite the ladies’ man. He was often photographed with a variety of women on his arm and the media liked to spin it that he was wining and dining (and screwing) all of them. Whether it was Bijou, Lina, Tasha, or whomever else the bottom line was that Jedidiah was single and he wasn’t a man whore. It didn’t bother him If the public believed he was a bit of a player. The only opinions he cared about were those of the people closest to him and they knew he was a gentleman at heart. And it wasn’t like Jedidiah didn’t enjoy a fling or one night stand from time to time, but he didn’t make a habit out of it. Besides, surrounding himself with beautiful women could n ever be bad for his image.

From the outside looking in, it would appear that he and the feisty blonde he’d woken up next to were more than friends. Cuddled close, it was easy to mistake the friends as lovebirds. But as it stood, there was nothing going on but a long term really close friendship. Despite being single, Jedidiah had an unspoken loyalty and commitment to his former roommate, Bernadette. She was quite possessive and probably wouldn’t take too kindly to having seen another woman in his bed. But what she didn’t know wouldn’t hurt her. To be honest, he didn’t really owe her anything, but he still felt some obligation to keep her happy. For now, though, Bijou was on the other side of the country and therefore temporarily out of his mind.

Jedidiah woke up with a smile on his face, remembering the night before as he eyes Aalina next to him. Naturally he made fun of her for being so scared, but it was still sort of cute. So he didn’t mind at all when she wanted to cuddle up next to him to aid her sleep. Finally they were following through with their plans to go to the zoo. It wasn’t often that Jedidiah got to do normal things like that. Aalina had wanted to go for quite some time and since it was something she really wanted to do he was all for it. And time spent with her was a good time. But if they were going to go to the zoo, they had to visit the Bronx Zoo. Though he’d only been once before, Jedidiah was convinced it was the best zoo in the country, solely because it made him feel like he was just a normal kid again. Jedidiah hadn’t had a normal life since before his preteens so getting that feeling in the Bronx Zoo was something special.

Before rolling out of bed he shot a text message to his bodyguard to come pick them up in thirty minutes. Though it was a lot easier to go out on his own in New York, it was always safer to have a bodyguard with him. They were always good about lingering a few feet behind to give him his space, but still close enough to catch a situation before it got out of hand. He hopped out of the shower and threw on some jeans that sagged just a little, but before he threw on his button down he changed his mind and opted for a tshirt instead. He walked back into his bedroom to find Aalina lying in the middle of his king sized bed. “Well I would hope so,” he said flinging a pillow at her with a big smile on his face. “I spent a lot of money on that thing and that was kinda the point,” he joked. He rummaged around for a tshirt, opting for a black YMCMB one, and threw it over his head. “My security is gonna be here in a few minutes. Want me to make you something to eat real quick?”
