He has maintained relationships with his friends from high school, so it makes sense that they're there to keep him out of trouble from time to time. Mostly, Cody stays away from big, well-known clubs to avoid the paparazzi if he can. He doesn't mind partying from time to time, but staying under the radar is usually his favorite policy. Admittedly, it's becoming harder and harder to do so. As he continues to grow as an actor, the young man continues to draw more and more attention to himself. He's a favorite topic in teen magazines, and it's only a matter of time until he's on People, US Weekly, and other renowned tabloids. Whatever happens, he'll still be the same Cody Reyes. ROMANTIC Chivalry may be deemed dead, but Cody is the exception. Cody believes girls need to be treated with respect because they're just as human as he is, if not more. He'll wait on her hand and foot if she allowed because that's the kind of man he is. Cody is the type to kiss them when they talk on and on about pointless worries, take them out to surprise dinners, open the doors, help them over puddles, buy them chocolate and roses, and hold them when they need someone to be there for them. Cody believes in love at first sight and true love because he's convinced that's exactly what happened between his mother and father back in Hawaii way back when. PASSIONATE Cody learned about his love for acting as at a young age. Since then, his passion has only encouraged him to become an even better actor. Cody has a certain connection with all his roles, which makes it incredible for him to act. It's almost like second nature. Everything Cody says or does is true to his morals because he doesn't believe in advertising something he's not. His mother often jokes he'll make a magnificent husband because once he find the right girl, she'll treat her as though she was the air he breathes, worth more than all the valuable minerals in the world. Cody hopes to live up to her standards, too. FASHIONABLE Cody has always been fashionable. It's kind of one of his policies. He likes to look presentable for those he is acquainted with. Cody doesn't mind people who prefer to wear sweats outside, but he'll rarely be seen in anything other than a nice pair of jeans and a decent shirt. Cody believes it's a sign of respect to look nice in front of people you're conversing with. It shows you care about them enough to put time and effort into his appearance. He'll often try out new hairstyles and clothes for a test run. If he doesn't like them, he'll toss the idea. If he does, then there's a good possibility he'll wear something similar in the near future. OPEN-MINDED Frequently, fashion, economics, politics, trends, hot spots, activities, and especially people change. In order to keep up in the modern society, Cody allows himself to try and understand the new up and coming trend. He has learned to overcome a fear of change. He learned although you may want something to stay the same forever, it may not be in his power to say whether or not it changes or not. Technically, nothing is ever right. Some people think differently than others. What might be right for some person may be terribly wrong for another. Cody has ideas that may differ from someone else. Fortunately, he’s understood ideas come from genes, thoughts, disposition, life experiences, and perhaps origin. WEAKNESSES COMPETITIVE Cody was an athlete during junior high and high school, so he always strove to win what was rightfully theirs. He has always been a great sportsman, but he'd never let something fly by without a fight. In the movie business, Cody is the same way. If he enjoys a role enough, he'll put on his game face and play it through to the end. If he loses, he doesn't hold grudges, but the boy definitely won't be too amused for the first couple days after hearing the news. More likely than not, he'll take his anger out on himself until he realizes that it was actually a learning experience. BUSYBODY No matter what time of day it is, Cody feels the need to be productive. The last ten years of his life have been devoted to hard work and determination. It’s difficult to come down from his high. Simple things like watching television and lounging in bed are difficult subjects for him to grasp. There’s so much more to do; he could be running lines or seeking out auditions. Time is precious, and wasting it on mindless activities bother him. But, he does know rest is important. He’ll reward himself every so often if he deems it fitting. DEFENSIVE Cody is a family man and an excellent friend. If he hears anyone talking shit about his mother, father, friends, or girlfriend, he'll probably kick some ass. Cody has a no tolerance for bullying because he witnessed it all throughout his school years. He'll defend someone he cares about in a heartbeat, even if they engaged in a wrong. Cody sticks up for people who he knows to be true and pure, but he'll stand up for someone being hustled on the street if he comes across it. He had never been bullied during school, but he knows how the business goes, and he doesn't accept it in the least. SELF-CRITISISM Everything can be better. Everything will be better. Cody constantly tries to be a better man, actor, etc. One failure can’t be made up without thirty or so successes. One mistake has to be righted hundreds of times to be called even. That’s probably Cody’s greatest flaw. He’s extremely hard on himself. INDEPENDENT He has always been very independent. He always wanted to tie his own shows, buy his own toys, make his own food, do his homework alone, and solve a problem by himself. His parents were often busy when he was a kid, so it factored into who he is today. Cody hates accepting anything, especially from a female. He appreciates the effort, but he doesn't believe the effort should be used on him. Cody never asks for help if he can get through alone, and he rarely tolerates pity of any kind. He's a big boy. He can handle himself. SKILLS Skills? Cody is constantly tacking on new talents for roles as well as his own leisure. He may not seem like the type to do so, but skateboarding has always been a hobby of his. If he’s in a city filming and comes across some down time, it’s very likely he’ll grab his board and go skating. Sports come to him just as easily, if not more so. The High School Musical franchise and 17 Again allowed him to display his athletic abilities. Charlie St. Cloud taught him how to sail. As you can see, acting has created a well-rounded selection of activities he’s able to do. Dancing and singing, although showcased in many of his movies, had always been a natural talent of his. Cody’s open-mindedness concerning roles probably works in his favor, too. He has an impeccable talent to become his characters, which is shown throughout his performances. EXPERIENCE Cody’s parents ran into the industry blind. Their careers were modest for the Los Angeles atmosphere, and their only son had an unwavering love for the stage. They honestly thought he’d grow out of it. When Cody was seven years old, he began begging and pleading with his parents. Diane and Jonathan eventually gave into their boy’s hopes and dreams. Finding an agent was difficult, but finding work was much harder. It took seven years for Cody’s face to finally hit the public.
