 the stats FULL NAME asher jameson riley AGE & DOB thirty | december 20 ACTOR AGE RANGE none HOMETOWN london, england CURRENT LOCATION los angeles ETHNICITY caucasian LANGUAGE english, french SEXUAL ORIENTATION strictly hetero HAIR COLOR brunette EYE COLOR green HEIGHT five eleven WEIGHT one seventy-five DISTINGUISHING FEATURES prominent brow, chiseled facial features, dimples | deeper perspective STRENGTHS business savvy - though he may follow a project like a tenacious pitbull, asher has yet to be truly wrong about something he believes in. he follows his gut for just about every project that he comes across in need of directing. if his gut tells him that it's not worth the risk then he doesn't pursue it. if his gut tells him to go with it then it becomes another one of his children and asher does all that he can to get it off the ground. he hasn't been extremely wrong to the point of hurting himself financially though and until that day comes he'll likely keep pursuing risking projects as he does now. family-oriented - asher has a daughter named kennedy who is four years old. though the means in which kennedy came to be were less than fortunate, her birth was the best thing to happen to him. the only women allowed to be in asher's life is his family which includes kennedy and his two half-sisters, no one else. they are likely to be the only women he'll ever truly care about. asher was always a bit of a playboy before the incident happened with kennedy's mother but now he's even less likely to let others into his life. he has no problem with friends but he always tends to be super skeptical about women wanting to be his friends and just doesn't believe it is possible. ambitious - asher has big dreams and though having a child was not one of them, he's still not letting that little fact stop him. asher still wants to be a vital part of bigger movies with bigger budgets that make the millions of dollars he's seen them rake in. he still wants to top the charts as far as directors go, etc. he's got a lot of big dreams and he especially wants to show his daughter that the sky is the limits now that she's such a big factor in his life. asher's got a lot to prove and he keeps challenging himself by setting the bar higher than it needs to be. he doesn't necessarily strive for perfection but he does want to do the impossible and he has every intention of making that goal a reality. honest - though asher might be the worst of playboys, the one thing he has going for him is his honesty. if you're not his type you don't have to spend all night flirting just to be let down because asher will be blunt with you and tell if that dress makes you look like a fat cow or not. he believes it's the best way to teach his daughter how to be and that honesty is the best policy, even if it doesn't make you a fan favorite. asher doesn't want to be hugely popular, he just wants to accomplish what he's set out to do and be a good father at the same time. he treats his daughter in the same fashion, albeit in a little kinder manner. charming - asher's one major weapon that he carries is his smirk. he carries it around with him like a badge of honor or a wall to keep people out. the only ones to ever see his real smile is his family and even then it's reserved for times that hold a little more significance than just "hanging out" time. asher doesn't let strangers see the real him anymore. he's never really been one to let people in in the first place but now that he's come upon his share of shitty times he's even more hesitant to let people in. that's why his motto in life is to love 'em and leave 'em. he doesn't want to risk people getting close and hurting him once again, and he's got more than just himself to consider at this point. so his charm is a kind of force field. it's something that women around him can feed off of instead of actually reaching him and taking pieces of himself with them when they leave. it's likely he'll never truly give his heart away to anyone so his charm is all he can give. it's plentiful, renewable, and he doesn't have to give up pieces of himself to make others happy. WEAKNESSES spoiled - asher has grown up in the lap of luxury and it has gotten to his head. ever since he was a child asher knew that he was destined for great things and he never let those around him forget it. he was one of those kids that not only had everything you could ever possibly want to have, but he rubbed it in your face that he had such things. his show and tell pieces in elementary school put others to shame and left children feeling like they didn't want to present their show and tell. that progressed all the way into high school and college. asher knew that he had or could get anything that he wanted and he was never shy about letting people know that. restless - asher has a way about him. what is in front of him is never enough. he always tends to want more. this tends to make him easily agitated. he's always looking for the next hurdle to jump, the next accomplishment to have under his belt. he tends to get his fingers into everything and have a definite opinion about how something should go and tends to keep himself busy by making sure he always has a say. his only problem tends to lie in when something stalls. asher isn't a fan of a project not moving forward, in fact it makes him damn hard to work with. an unhappy asher riley is one you never want to witness twice. playboy - falling under the restless category, asher is never satisfied with just having the same woman again and again. he likes variety and that usually means that women get hurt. he's a big fish, as some would say, coming from a wealthy family. he would be the prized possession of any head hunting women out there, but asher doesn't take any chances anymore. after having been duped by a woman a few years back asher has become even more closed off, even more untrusting of women. instead he beds who he wants but never for more than a night. asher's not even fond of keeping women around as friends but he'll tolerate them for the sake of his daughter. yes daughter. asher was duped by a woman who had sabotaged the condom he had used when they were together and had a daughter from it. the woman had thought it would be a permanent way to reel him in but asher ended up taking full custody of the baby girl after she was born and completely cut the mother out of the picture. the woman still threatens him on a regular basis but to no avail. though he has come out on top, as most would assume, his one mistake with a crazy woman has pretty much ruined the possibility of relationships for asher. no need for a mother in the life of his daughter is worth going through that shit again. confident - asher knows his shit. when he finds a project to believe in then he backs it whole heartedly whether or not people tell him he's crazy. he likes to believe himself a savvy businessman so when he gets a gut instinct about a project he leaps into it. though he's hardly wrong, asher pushes a lot of limits that other people don't want to follow him through. he looses a lot of people's faith because of his crazy obsession with getting projects finished but he tends not to care. asher knows that it's worthwhile to finish, even if he makes enemies out of the industry. he often thinks of it as renewing believers but the fact of the matter is that no one really wants to take a chance with asher and his crazy devotion to the projects he takes on. proud - one of the main reasons why asher takes his mistakes so hard is due to his pride. as a child of wealth he was raised, in strict form, to be smarter than that, better than that, whatever that may be. any time he screws up asher sees it as his father being right. though the two of them are on alright terms, asher has become a permanent disgrace to his father and it eats away at him knowing that one more mistake would just be yet another memory notched against him in his father's mind, one more thing on the list that would be what his father holds against him for all eternity. the relationship between asher and his father is fragile to say the least. though they tolerate one another for family's sake, asher's father is angry that asher never devoted himself to the business major that he earned and asher is angry that his father could never suck it up and embrace who he was. over time that anger became stagnant and fed any small things between them, widening the rift there. asher's too proud to admit that his father did have a point when he was a child but he was also too proud to cave like a little whelp and do everything that daddy told him to do. SKILLS when he wants to be someone else, asher likes to pretend to be from a different location than the one he was raised in. from time to time he will play around with different accents such as southern united states, slightly spanish, etc. but this skill isn't used for anything other than his social life. EXPERIENCE asher started making films as a high school-er in art class. the assignment had been to film various scenes in black and white and asher had taken to them like a moth to a flame. in college asher had majored in business the way his father wanted him to but had minored in film and art. a few of his independent films had gained him popularity but asher quickly lost interest in directing and filming the projects when his social life began to pick up. after joining his father's business for a few years and making a quick stash of cash, but missing his true calling at the same time. so asher quit and invested in a directing company. he's since directed a few low-budget hits and is now looking to expand his reach. he wants to try his hand at more big-budget films and make himself totally known within the industry, much to his father's dismay. but his background in business has kept his company more than above water. for his philandering ways, asher is a very business smart individual and plans to use that knowledge to better himself in the industry. |
