From unexpected polyryhthms to clever tactics to convince her daughter (Primrose) to eat her vegetables. She's no stranger to the term 'D.I.Y.' and is almost always working on something be it a recipe, a craft, or a score for the summer's upcoming blockbuster. She even has her own designated 'craft corner' in her home (after one-too-many acrylic paint spills on sheet music), which is constantly messy. PASSIONATE As a former touring artist, a commercial composer, a (widowed) wife, and a mother, she has displayed a fierce passion not to be reckoned with for two things: music and her family. These are the things that come first on her list if priorities, and there is absolutely no force on Earth that could keep her away from them. PRUDENCE This was not the case in the past, but over the years she has developed a carefulness about her decisions and tries not to take undue risks. Not since her life stopped being about her and started being about her daughter, anyway. SOCIAL INTELLIGENCE In working in the music industry and now the entertainment field, she was become aware of one thing: There certainly is no business like show business. It was hard at first to see who really wanted to help and collaborate, and who wanted to exploit and thief, but in due time she has nurtured an awareness for motives and the feelings of other people. ZEST Fox certainly does approach this crazy life of hers with excitement and energy. She does nothing halfway, pouring her heart and soul into every project and making it the best possible reflection of herself as she can. WEAKNESSES l MESSY Creativty came as a price. For every score of music there are at least fifty crumbled up sheets of must surrounding her desk. For every painting project there's a splotch on the floor/table/shirt/dog. It's really difficult to get your three-year old keen on "clean up time" when you, yourself, can barely organize a corner of the house. SYMPATHETIC Fox is sometimes too sensitive to the feelings of others to make decisions. She is so excessively considerate of the way her other people will feel that she ends up making even worse choices that resultin even worse consequences. HOLDS A GRUDGE Even after everything is said and done, Fox holds a grudge (which is extremely ironic considering how deeply she had hurt a handful of people in the past.) . She can't let it go, and she doesn't really want to. She feels entitled to feel that way, for whatever reason. WEARY While she's pretty good at feeling people out for less-than-honorable motives, there are times when she gets a little paranoid that someone is out to get her. She can be excessively defensive and stand-offish to perfectly innocent people if she picks up on a bad vibe from them. STAMMER Since childhood, she had stammer that was so severe, in elementary school she had been required to attend speech therapy. The attribute had, for the most part, been in remission since starting high school, but it seems as though when she becames overwhelmed by something, it returns. She absolutely loathes herself for it, and often times when it comes up, she doesn't speak at all. SKILLS Fox is best known for her voice due to her days as a touring (and dare she say, popular) musician. Music publications have described her dulcet tones as being smoky and have said that her voice "lays on thick, like honey." and that it was "Lovely, and yet clouded over." which is evidently "An unexpectedly handsome couplet of qualities." In additition to singing, she can also play guitar and piano, having the musical inclination that she does (which would eventually lead her to scoring music for films.) EXPERIENCE One really can't tell the tale as to how Foxtail Thistle came into this wonderful world of movies without telling the story as to how she wound up in the music industry years ago. And one can't tell that story before revealing the love story of a lifetime and the tragedy that would pull her up north to New York City. She shares the backstory of many of today's popular musicians; Her parents were pastors, she grew up in church, so on and so forth. Born and raised in Daisy, Goergia. A small, sleepy town where she was the classic example of a Goergia Peach. Her fifteenth year, the foster care system would spit her out in Alabama after an accident that killed both of her parents on impact. The change in school systems, graduation requirements, and number of needed credits put the redhead a year ahead of her peers academically (although she was something of a tattered soul in a shiny new body anyhow, she was years ahead of high schoolers). It was then and there she had met the man who would become her high school sweetheart and her husband: Pendleton Thistle (who was, coincidentally, also a foster kid. Although he was far more seasoned than she.) The two were just a couple of eleventh-year high school students who got thrown into a freshman guitar class (this was a glitch in the system with the school, and it had happened to about a dozen other upperclassmen). That's all it had really been from the start, just a series of unforseen circumstances. A bit of serendipity. They played together, they performed recitals togethers. Mostly covering Tom Waits, or Birdy. The last few weeks of the semester they had decided "it would be fun" to write their own songs, which turned into a bigger hit than they had anticipated. The songs that they had written were both emotionally exhausting and very educational. They wrote about things that were extremely personal. Things that could never leave the room. They knew the precise words to cut eachother down, and the ones to pick eachother right back up. Their relationship was one that had relied heavily on trusting that nothing they had told the other in confidence would be used against them. So it wasn't a much of a shock that they had fallen in love so quickly. In a matter of mere months the two were married. They were certainly very young, but they were very much so in love and very much so growing weary of moving from foster home to foster home. Pendleton had just turned eighteen and was free from having to go through the system, Fox however was not. Fortunately, the state of Alabama would allow a sixteen year old girl with deceased parents to marry if she had the proper evidence and paperwork. It was a simple affair. with a handful of the people who were nearest and dearest to them. Rustic and sweet in an orchard. Warm, but not sweltering hot. A little field of wildflowers next to a little church. It was picture perfect. A simple white dress which little cap sleeves and a sweetheart neckline, a button shirt with suspenders was all that they had needed. They wrote their own vows, they kissed passionately, and they started their life together properly. The two would pursue (and succeed in) a career in music after dropping out of college in their second year, touring from town to town constantly and their fan base was constantly growing. They would do this for about five years before Foxtail had finally become pregnant. And upon the confirmation, they gladly traded in their globe-trotting days for a small home in Beaufort, South Carolina. They even opened a small songwriting firm. They were married for nine years and three days when Pendleton would die as a passenger aboard a plane that was homeward bound after a business trip. The aircraft crashed into a corn field in Columbus, Ohio, broke up and burned. The official cause if death was the resulting fire. Fox was about to be five months pregnant. Henceforth, the woman needed a fresh start. After she had the baby (a little girl named Primrose), after her maternity leave was over and everything was settled, she sold off the small business to her and her husband's former producer before taking a job offer as a composer in New York. She was allowed to work at home and be with her daughter as long as the pieces got written, and that was she had cared about. In the last three years, Eisley has written a number of scores. Not all of them were winners, and she certainly wasn't being nominated by The Academy for her original scores, but she hoped to one day become an award-winning composer. Her pieces have usually been used in Disney and Dreamworks, with only one to-date used in a movie from a respectable director on the "grown-up" side of things.
