"Reasonably" because their plans soon turned into shopping... for weed. The last time Miranda ever remembered taking that stuff was when she was still working as a personal assistant and her boss had offered her a joint. Since then she hadn't come across it... until tonight. Actually, she wasn't interested in buying it at all but instead was only there to escort Sky who - all of a sudden - was going to buy it to make weed gingerbread. What? Miranda found that odd, but mused that if brownies and cookies could be made then why not? But that wasn't the obstacle. The obstacle was facing the dealers, and Miranda was probably just as frightened of them as Sky was. "I don't mind this, jus' as long as you're in charge. I'm jus' here to protect you or whatever it is to make sure we come back in one piece." Miranda said in her thick Geordie accent. Even though Dallas had told her that they wouldn't get shot, Miranda was still having a moment of paranoia - this was her first time after all. "Can I get a guarantee that you won't do anythin' stupid 'aye?" asked Miranda. She hardly knew the girl and so it was only right to ask. Miranda usually wasn't one to get scared of doing things she'd never dream of, but having to buy things off shady people with weapons made this moment an exception. She couldn't believe that this girl before her even had the guts to just go and not wait for some one more experienced like Dallas to do it for her. She was just as little as Miranda herself, but then again, as Dallas had said - "big things came in small packages" and there was two of them. She supposed she could add this to her list of things she never thought she'd see herself doing and count it as a good thing. |
