After scoring an audition for her client for an upcoming Martin Scorsese film she decided to celebrate with a few drinks. She'd worked hard for it to a point where she'd mentally exhausted her brain out and turned it into mashed potatoes. The only cure? Alcohol. "To my scoring the Scorsese!" She shouted as she held up her glass of martini. The ladies she brought to celebrate with her held up their drinks and all clinked their glasses together. "Cheers." Said Miranda before taking a sip from her glass. She picked out the toothpick with two olives skewered through and bit the first olive off before noticing a pair of eyes staring at her from across their booth. The guy wasn't even being subtle about it which annoyed her, but she ignored it. A few minutes later and Miranda's glass was empty. She stood from her seat and excused herself, intending on buying another drink. "Does anyone want anything?" She asked the girls but received dismissive waves. Miranda often drank too fast anyway. Turning around, she headed to the busy bar and weaved herself through the crowd. Eventually she found herself a surface she could lean on while she waited for the bartender to pay attention to her. Shouting out "excuse me" was the last thing she thought about doing considering no one would hear so she remained at the bar trying to make eye contact with the bartender. Suddenly the same guy who was staring at her before appeared beside her with a drink in his hand. Miranda rolled her eyes because he wasn't even that cute looking. He began talking much to her irritation and soon enough he was using cheesy pick up lines. "Can you jus' leave me alone? I'm not in the mood to talk to creeps like you tonight." Miranda said as her eyes didn't even bother looking at him. The man resisted and continued to give her more of his sleaze. "You don't listen do yer? I'm not interested." He still wouldn't listen. This was getting more difficult to get out of that even if she walked away he'd follow. But she walked away anyway, and he touched her which immediately prompted her to turn around and slap his hand away. "Do you mind?!" They were getting looks now. |
