Lots had apparently changed in the lives of people around him as well. His oldest and closest friend Holland is no exception. She too had faced changes and being back had him wondering how she had been holding up. If he didn’t care about anyone else, he cared about her. He wasn’t sure why. You would think he’d be in New York right now, staying in hiding, but openly expressing his love with Nina Clarke, but he wasn’t. That chapter was long forgotten and it wasn’t because he no longer had feelings for Nina. That wasn’t the case at all, because Jack did still have feelings for Nina. He just didn’t think those feelings were going to amount to anything because she will never even like him let alone return the same feelings he had for her. And no; by no means was the girl whose house he was standing in front of some sort of a rebound girl. In fact, she was the complete opposite. She was the only one he could think of who would make him feel comfortable just as she had countless times before. He hoped he could do the same for her, despite the fact that these two hadn’t caught up with each other in a while. Time split them up and for a while, he went about as though Holly was never even in his life. Being away in France for so long, he found himself going back to the old times when there used to be that one girl who was there for him when he needed her. The girl who can actually get away with putting eyeshadow and lipstick on his face. Not that that’s the only reason he remembered her. Being in France reminded him of all that mattered to him. Friends and family, mainly. This man had been too caught up in his fame and the long line of girls to even remember that. Coming to terms with what was actually important were one of the many ways he changed. But one thing that didn’t change was…all-in-all, the presentation. The Hollywood celebrity didn’t lose the Gucci shades or the Giorgio Armani shoes and tie. He was still showing off the precious Porsche of his. Pulling up in front of her house, he wondered what changed or hadn’t changed about her. Well, the bump was surely gone; he’d love to see that. The baby, most definitely. Evan was one of the reasons he was here in the first place anyway. Not to mention there was a chance that the Holly he last saw wasn’t the same Holly he would be seeing now. He hadn’t heard much. Just that tabloids were going on and on about how it seemed that she was no longer with..Jared. Or was it Jensen. Something. Now pulled up, Jack removed the keys from the ignition and pulled out his phone, going through many tabloids from the period that he was away in France for reasons he wouldn’t like to share with just anyone, even though everyone pretty much knew Cooper Draven’s beating chased him out of the states. Jack’s eyes landed on the tabloid he was looking for. Jeremy. That was his name. He wanted to be able to talk to her, see how she’s doing while actually knowing the name of the guy who she was no longer with. But of course, Jack wasn’t going to be the first one to bring Jeremy up and he hoped she wouldn’t be bringing up Nina Clarke either. Throwing his iPhone back into his pocket, Jack stepped out of his car and headed for the door of the house, looking up at it before ringing the doorbell and then turned around to admire the layout of the front yard. It had a touch of Holly, indeed. Had him smiling already as if she was already there. Jack turned back to the door, wondering if he could just barge like he usually did when they were close. Well, they were still close, maybe it wouldn’t be a big deal. He was ready to reach for the door, but before he could, it moved away from him and opened up, revealing the gorgeous blonde on the other side.
