That last couple of months had been pretty hectic for the thirty-four year old. He’d flown back and forth between New York and Los Angeles at least six times. He’d wrapped up a movie and he’d been searching for something else to throw himself into. The worst part about not having a movie to work on was that he didn’t have much of anything to do with his time. He could only go running or to the gym so often. Not having something that he could actively work on was like not having a purpose. And there was nothing worse than not having a purpose as far as Marc was concerned. He’d been that way for as long as he could remember. Marc needed to be occupied. Things often got interesting when he got bored and that wasn’t always a good thing.
For the most part of this month, he hadn’t given himself much room to be bored. He’d gone to visit his family in Greece. Going back home was always fun. Leaving was the hardest part and he knew that. So this time, he’d brought his best friend back with him. There was nothing more fun than not having anything to do and having someone around that could keep you entertained without actually having to do anything. Still, even with his best friend being here and keeping him company, he needed to work.
But because he wasn’t working, he was wasting his life away at the country club. Marc rarely played golf, unless he was extremely bored. Yet that was exactly what he had been doing most of this week. Walking into the club, he glanced around for his ‘team’ to group up and trash talk before getting dragged to a boring round of what he usually called grassball.
