although gwen has grown up in the competitive world of theater, she tries her hardest to stay grounded with the help of her family and friends. she cannot help but always try to be the center of attention though, and it has been this way since she was three years old, probably even before that. she's always had the love of her adoptive parents, and they also did a good job at giving her a big head. in elementary school she was definitely the bully, but as middle school and high school rolled around she attempted to the take the position of 'queen bee', but it never happened. people were so fed up with her attitude, gwen quickly decided that she needed to lose it. desperate to fit in she tried to change her ways. then half way through high school she transfered to a performing arts school, where her competitive attitude returned.

she only acts like her shit don't stink when she's not in a comfortable place, like with her friends or adoptive family. when she's alone she gets and attitude, or when she's auditioning. she feels the most comfortable when she is entertaining, aka when she's in the center of everything. she can be very loyal, but she cannot keep a secret worth anything, unless it effects her or its somebody she does not want to hurt. being involved in the theater world she has opened up her heart and become a part of many organizations that are supported by the theater community, and since cast members always change, she has become more personable and willing to make new friends. it's easy to carry on a conversation with gwen, but she has to try hard not to talk about herself.

gwen has only ever had a crush on boy, and that is her best friend. sure she may think guys are attractive, but she has only ever wanted one person, and so she has no love life, except for the one she creates in her head. she's not crazy, she just knows what she wants, and she wants him. she is not sexual, but is not foreign to the word. she is cultured enough not to shocked by vulgarities or people that like the explore with sex. she just chooses not be that way. she is a straight edge and prefers not to drink alcohol, do drugs, or smoke any type of tobacco. she gets enough of a high off of her career in theater.

gwen pastino grew up an only child, adopted by michael and francis pastino when she was only a baby. they could not have one of their own. gwen does not keep in touch with her biological parents or siblings, there is no need to. her mom enrolled her in tap dance classes at the age of three, and that was when she won her first competition. shortly after she became involved in children's theater. most kids look forward to playing sports such as basketball or soccer, but all gwen wanted to do was be on stage, performing. soon she became the only kid in a crowd of adults. community theater sucked her in, and she was playing the rare childs role with twenty something and older people. she continued acting all the way through middle school in the community.

by the time high school hit she was a total diva. seniors that had been given every lead roll since their freshman year was being knocked off the totem poll completely. this is also where she met her very best friend the love of her life, her life became so confusing because she had never liked a boy before, but he was it, and with the very little experience she had in dating or even seduction she got no where with him. all they ever were was biffs. they had promised they would go to the junior senior prom together, and experience many other parts of their lives together. but gwen never came back for her junior year. she went to a performing arts school in jersey, because it better suit her. she graduated with scholarships to colleges for theater. and she decided to attend NYU majoring in musical theater.

becoming apart of the new york community was a dream. immediately she rented herself an apartment and began auditioning for big roles on 42nd street, close to broadway. quickly she landed some of her dream rolls in musical theater. she keeps herself busy at school and rehearsals. she has little to no life because she is focusing on her career. she met with a talent manager and she was suggested some rolls in television and movies, and that is now on her big list of things to accomplish: become a movie/tv star.
